  Mature, simple, and elegant was the style that Willow leaned towards. Anything with solid colors, maybe some lace, and maybe a floral pattern every now and then to spice up her attire.

  Willow wasn't a very social creature outside of the house...or even inside of the house. She enjoyed remaining studious despite all of her degrees, going for jogs around the neighborhood and on the treadmill in the upstairs gym when the weather was bad. The garden of the home was her pride and joy, from the flowers to the vegetables she grew. She enjoys trying to help the mutants that come into the house by giving them a safe space and doing her best to help them train their powers, or how to hide them depending on what they need help with.

  There's a good bit that Willow doesn't like. Anyone hyperactive or disrespectful. Most of the time she doesn't get along well with other females. She holds distain in her heart for the government and law enforcement who deem having mutant powers as criminal. Most of all, she dislikes her parents that disown her for her powers and moved their focus to her little sister.

  Growing up as the only daughter of two prestigious doctors set the bar high for the expectations had in Willow. So Willow wanted to live up to their expectations, and she met them. Apparently too much. She was brilliant and flew through grade school, her IQ tests were off the charts. Apparently it was the mind reading and all of the languages she spoke that became too much for the parents.
  
  Her parents sent her away and decided to start again by having another child, but that wasn't what devastated the young girl. It was what her parents and everyone thought about her. They thought it was unnatural and inhumane. The word monster was what did her in. She became cold, hardened, and developed a blunt and very straight to the point personality. It braces her for the bad thoughts everyone had of her. By the time Ackermann found her she was already set in her ways as far as personality wise, though she does have a soft spot in her heart for other mutants.

  From birth Willow had always been different. Most babies babbled, Willow skipped that stage. She learned both English and Korean fluently by the time she was three, and by the time she was four she could speak nearly every other language she studied. They had tested her IQ and it was off the charts and was considered unmeasurable. She could always remember hearing people's thoughts. When Willow wasn't breezing through school she was forced into therapy to try and tell her she couldn't read minds. Even the therapist was freaked out by her.
  
  

  teenage years

  By 11 Willow had graduated from high school and earned a full ride to Harvard. Her parents were eager to send her away, they were afraid of her and thought she was a monster. After she was went to Harvard she only got to come back once and that was to meet her younger sister, the normal baby that her parents had always wanted. She went back to school and never went back home.
  
  By the time she was 17 she had three doctorates and had nowhere else to go. She thought to go for another round of schooling, but that was when she met Ackermann. He taught her that she wasn't alone in the world, that she wasn't a freak. He brought her to the boarding house and showed her a whole new world beyond the cruelty of her family and the schooling she buried herself in.
  
  

  entering adulthood

  Adulthood was when she entered her prime. There were others like her, other confused individuals who were just trying to find their place in the world. There was also the world that wanted to eliminate people like them that were just trying to live her life. So, Willow vowed to follow Ackermann and help him in his pursuit to make a safe haven for people like them. He took her to each of the homes across the country to introduce her to other mutants before taking her to the house in Maine.
  
  There she trained how to be more understanding and learned the ways of the house. It was a safe space for mutants, where they could rest, train and just be themselves and even make some friends along the way. When she turned 21, after a few short years of staying in the house, Ackermann gave Willow the responsibility of overseeing the house and the mutants that came through. It was something that Willow dedicated herself to and something she could pride herself in.

  Quinn has many things she likes! She likes the feeling of a piercing needle on her skin, the feeling of the tattoo needle on her skin, exercise, and blowing things up. She just enjoys adrenaline no matter what form she can get it from. She likes staying in hotel rooms and seeing the sights outside of their government home, drawing and painting, and she especially likes when she gets to go out for missions.

  People are something that Quinn dislikes, normal humans that don't understand their kind. She doesn't like when she's sent to find other mutants because it usually entails her killing them.

  The nicest way to word Quinn's personality would be one word, and that would be loud. She likes it to be known that she's there. Her clothes are bright and vibrant like her hair, and that's kind of how she acts. Loud. Once upon a time ago she was a quiet catholic girl who just wanted to please everyone. Once her parents killed her, however, everything flipped the script. She lives everyday like it's her last and just wants to have a fun time despite how gruesome her job can be.
  
  If Quinn is in public she's far more conservative. Quinn is a dangerous weapon, just touching her skin is enough to kill someone and she's aware of that. From the moment she was brought back to life she became well aware of that fact; the EMT's who revived her, the doctor's and nurses who tried to inspect her. It was traumatizing and she didn't want to see people die for just trying to help her. So in public Quinn dresses head to toe and falls quietly in the background.

  Quinn wasn't born into a world of love. Her parents were the couple that always fought, and to be honest they never wanted children. They were Catholics and attended church regularly but didn't live by the Catholic ways, they were drunks and abusive. Quinn tried her best to be a daughter they could be proud of, she always tried in school and in the church to show them that she was a worthy daughter. Unfortunately, when she was seven years old her parents got a bit too drunk. They blamed Quinn for all of their problems in life and took out their anger on her. It wasn't the first time they had laid their hands on her, but this time they went too far. Her little heart couldn't take the abuse and it gave out.
  
  The neighbors called 911 and an ambulance and the police rushed over. EMT's resuscitated the young girl, but what came back wasn't the same person. Whoever touched her after she was awake fell to the ground, instantly passing away. It wasn't long before government officials arrived to the hospital and took custody of the sobbing child. They took her to a facility and raised her there, giving her a home and some structure in her life. Quinn was very grateful to them and was eager to help them anyway she could.
  
  

  teenage years

  In her teenaged years the scientists tasked with raising Quinn shifted her focus from studies to athletics. She trained for many hours a week, from exhausting runs to hand to hand combat until she dropped. Quinn was well aware of how dangerous her powers are by now, the scientists wanted her fit for the field now. She knew that she'd be used in the field one day and she didn't want to fail any of them. They rewarded her with art supplies, and even the supplies to tinker and make bombs. Turns out she had a knack for it.
  
  During those years she was trusted to go out on missions with partners. Not many people were comfortable working with Quinn giving her mutation but she did have a long term partner for a while. Beckett was her partner for ten years and he became the person she confided in, so when he disappeared from their underground home without a trace she felt betrayed.
  
  

  entering adulthood

  After Beckett left Quinn was issued a new partner. She was 22, already set in her ways and didn't want a new partner. Unfortunately she had to adjust and this partner wasn't as fun as her last one. He wasn't horrible, but she also missed Beckett. So in her free time on missions she did research to find her old partner. The man was a professional at hiding his tracks and was nearly impossible to find. So the past few years she has dedicated herself to the missions, getting more tattoos, and getting better at tracking to hopefully find her old partner so she can drag him back to them.

The Shapeshifting Assassin

Beckett Slade, 30 year old male who stands at 6'3" and weighs in at 180 pounds. He's a shapeshifter that specializes in shapeshifting his limbs into weapons. He suffers from total memory loss, not able to recall anything before his 12th birthday. He used to be a weapon for the government but finally escaped them eight years ago. Now he spends his days serving as a mercenary for the underground mutant community. As much as he wanted to bring Quinn she'd never want to leave her 'home'.

Generally Beckett's a lone wolf type of person. He prefers to stay by himself, train by himself, and work by himself. People get hurt less when he's by himself and he doesn't want to see anyone get hurt; either from being around him or getting caught up in the fights he got mixed up in. Occasionally when he feels lonely he spends a day (or night) with some of the girls that swoon with him, though there are always no strings attached. He enjoys fixing up his bike and riding cross country to see the sights and complete assignments he had taken from other mutants. Hell, as long as it paid good he'd take a job from anyone. He strongly disliked being ordered around, not being able to question orders, and not being able to think for himself. He's not a big fan of any organization and prefers to operate by himself.

history

From what Beckett was told he was found in a hospital having been in a coma for quite sometime. He had no friends, no family, but his brain scans showed possible mutations. That's when the scientists took him from the hospital and did everything to wake him up. Did Beckett believe that? At first, yes. He was confused and all he could remember was his name. The scientists offered a life to him that he couldn't refuse. It wasn't long before he found out what his mutation was and it proved how useful he'd be to the government. He met every expectation and more; his powers grew exponentially and soon he could use every limb as a different weapon. He was physically far more stronger than an average human, much faster as well.

At first he was a good, obedient boy and followed their rules and their orders to a tee. They partnered him with a girl named Quinn and she quickly grew on him, like an obnoxious little sister. Still, she was company and he knew that she was just as lonely as him. For the next ten years they trained together and completed mission after mission together. Some missions were easy, convince confused mutants to join their cause and come with them. Then there were the hard missions. Those missions involved fighting for their lives, and ultimately resulted in Quinn being forced to putting the mutant down. All of the death weighed on his conscious. Beckett wanted to leave but Quinn didn't seem to share the same desire, and in the end he knew she'd be safe if he left her there. Beckett saw his opportunity to run one night and that's what he did, and he hasn't looked back since.

Occasionally Beckett will stop in at one of Ackermann's home for some shut eye, he's been doing so for the past few years. He's acquainted with Willow, Ackermann, and some of the regulars of the houses.

The Nerdy Portal Jumper

Dexter Alvin Savage is a 29 year old young man. He stands at an even 6 foot and isn't the most athletic or muscular. Why would he have to be when he can just open portals and jump through space and time to get to his destination? He's a very chill and go with the flow kind of person, he likes to roll with the punches. Often he is described as having a heart of gold. Back when he was younger he'd always bring people cool presents he found in the past. When he would have a history test he would travel back in the past to actually study the events; he was always the kid getting into trouble for arguing with the teachers.

Dexter is always the funny guy and aims to make people smile. He grew up with plenty of friends which made up for the lack of siblings, having been raised by his grandparents. His parents were also mutants and no matter how much time he got to spend with them, or how little, they influenced how much confidence Dexter had in himself and his powers. He likes jumping through time, adventurous and fun people, getting to know new people, and having a good time. Dislikes would include being stuck in one place for too long, being bored, and anyone who wants to hurt one another. Life was hard enough in their shoes, why be against each other?

history

Dexter was born to a time traveling father a nd a teleporting mother. Fortunately he was able to live with his parents and grandparents for the first five years of his life; his parents found out he had powers when Dexter was three, they were able to travel wherever with him and teach him how to come home. Unfortunately his parents had to leave when he was ten and left him with his grandparents full time. His parents taught him that there were bad people out there that wanted to take away their freedoms and that sometimes they had to go into hiding to survive. Only, Dexter didn't get to see his parents after that. He wasn't sure how long his parents would be hiding for or if those bad people got him, so he tried his best not to cause too much attention with his powers.

Shortly after graduating Dexter went off to college to major in teaching and history. However, only a year into his degree he got a call about his grandparents being in a car accident. They passed away and Dexter had to go home to bury them. Both them and his parents left him a substantial fortune, and after their passing he couldn't quite focus on school anymore. So, he traveled. Since he was able to hop through time he didn't spend much time in the present anymore. maybe once every few months to check his phone to see if his parents contacted him. It was always a no, so in order to take a break from traveling he visited Ackermann's house. It was a safe space his parents told him about, and they were always filled with interesting people.

  Jay was young when her mutation first appeared, just about eight years old. At first her parents thought they had just shared a strange dream but soon enough it became habitual and they realized what was going on. Their daughter was somehow finding her way into their heads as they slept and... causing things to happen. Back then it was nothing bad, she was a child! She was causing images of mountains of candy and giant stuffed animals. For a while Jay didn't even know she was DOING anything but dreaming herself... that is until her parents called her a monster. Told her to stop and to leave them alone. Something happens to a child when their parent looks at them the way hers did... and it wasn't something good.
  
  Jay struggled to control her powers after that, the fear and lack of practice or teaching made it all worse. That was when they kicked her out, she was only nine then. They packed up and left her alone over night... child protective services came and got her after a few weeks and took her to a home. Jay vowed to keep her mutation a secret but... soon enough it started again. That was when the agents came looking for her first.
  
  

  teenage years

  
  Her teenage years were spent in and out of various group homes, lying about her name and past. She slowly learned about her abilities, jumping through peoples dreams while asleep herself and the ability to make people fall into slumber when she touched them. She also began to realize she could alter dreams a bit while awake herself, but needed to maintain physical contact while doing so. Every time things got out of control she would switch cities again... eventually someone from Ackermann's found her and invited her to stay with them.
  
  Ackermann's was... meh. Jay didn't do the whole "support each other" thing that they all survived on. Honestly it made her sick... but she could appreciate that it was a safe place. A place she could go when things got dangerous outside.
  
  

  entering adulthood

  Now Jay is back at Ackermann's after a close run in with some agents at her last place. She had been staying with a few other rogue mutants in a run down building in a not very good part of town but they got busted by the agents. Most of the others were caught and taken away but they hadn't been doing this like Jay had... not many had been running for nearly 20 years.

  Cami is a very sweet and soft spoken girl, often times she wont speak and will instead write or whisper to her brother what she wants to share with the group if anything. Her shyness stems from the incident where she discovered her powers, the same incident that scared her brother so badly. She is also very protective of her friends and family, almost to a fault sometimes. Cami is very insecure about herself after developing her powers, back before them she was your typical high school queen be; confident, popular, social. Now it was like she was the complete opposite.

  Growing up Cami had a very happy childhood. Her and her twin were raised by a loving mother and father and honestly she cant remember a single bad thing from her young life. Of course when her father died with the twins were 10 things were very sad for a while but even then, they all stuck together and supported each other fiercely. Neither of the twins were born with their mutations and neither parents had any either so they were raised in a world that didn't really know about or understand the strange abilities some other people had.
  
  

  teenage years

  
  The teenage years are when things started to go poorly for Cami, she was falling into step with a mean group of girls and not only was she their friend, she was slowly becoming their leader. She was popular, confident and well liked... well maybe not the last part but she was enjoying her high school career. She could get away with anything she wanted, she could say anything she wanted and damn did she say a whole lot of mean shit. Cami was a gossip and a mean one at that. She could cut down the biggest baddest man with her words and not even blink. That's when her powers started to appear...
  
  Cami's mother expressed she wasn't a fan of the person her daughter was becoming and Cami blew it off, this was just how teenage girls were, it wasn't her fault she was better at it than the others. But then things started to get worse, every morning she would wake up with this terrible pain in her throat and she was having nightmares of green smoke pouring out of her mouth. Soon whenever she was talking shit she would feel the burn of something escaping her mouth and see the wisp of green. It wasn't until she caught one of her "best friends" talking about cheating on her brother that her true powers came out. Poison escaped her mouth and filled the room and she couldnt stop it, screams erupted from the other girls in the room and Cami tried covering her mouth, holding her breath, everything but nothing could calm her down. Eventually Caspar came into the room and pulled her out of the chaos but he ended up getting badly burned in the process. Thankfully that was the day Caspar's powers decided to come into play as well... though they didn't know that was what happened at the time.
  
  

  entering adulthood

  Cami killed 2 girls that day and seriously injured at least 3 others. There was warrants out for her arrest and Cami was scared, confused, lost. She didn't know what people did to mutants! She had no clue if they would understand it was a mistake. So she ran of course and Caspar followed like he always did... Cami's mother believed she lost her children that day and honestly it was better that way, better than having her as a daughter. The entire incident changed Cami's way of life completely.
  
  Since that day her and her brother have been in hiding, making a living for themselves however they could and moving from city to city when things got scary. Eventually another mutant on the run gave them the tip about Ackermanns and they decided to slowly make their travels there.

  Tae's abilities allow him to turn completely into a shark. Most times he doesnt fully transform and only will transform the parts of his body needed to complete the task at hand. Normally he will sharpen his teeth and utilize his gills. Along with this he also has the ability to track blood and the increased endurance and strength of a shark (within reason).

  Tae is a new recruit on the task force with Quinn, the only difference being that Tae loves it and went willingly. He personally doesn't fully understand the aversion to the governments help with mutants. It helped him become what he was today.

  Tae is an overly cocky, confident and cunning son of a bitch. Whatever he does he goes in full speed ahead and never backs down from a challenge. However this also means that whenever hes bad at something he can host quite the tantrum.

  Tae was born to parents he never knew, they never wanted him because at birth his mutation was apparent. Apparently a lot of people where he was from were born with mutations due to the poor water quality in the area. So Tae was taken into government custody almost instantly. Most kids in that situation were always scared, looking for a way out or back to a family but not Tae. No he felt like this was where he belonged. Once he was old enough to begin training it was all he cared about, getting better, getting stronger, getting faster. Soon he was the best out of all the kids his age.
  
  Once he reached his teen and young adult years he was already a full fledged agent, though most of his work up until recent times was done by busting down doors and taking people due to strength. This new partner and new undercover business was strange to him but he was on a mission to prove this was just another thing he would do well.
