Personality: Aceen is a very compassionate and understanding person. He is also very respectful, especially towards soldiers and his elders, though one could argue that he is almost too respectful. He often goes out of his way to please those that he considers superior to himself, and he’s deathly afraid of getting in trouble. He doesn't talk much, partly because he prefers to listen to the stories that others have to offer, but mostly because of his stutter. Aceen suffers from anxiety of both the regular and social sorts. Because of this, he distances himself from others, constantly afraid that he’ll either disappoint someone he looks up to or make a fool of himself. Most people see a shy, timid guy and don't give him a second thought, but when treated with respect and given a chance to open up, he’s actually pretty fun-loving and even a bit of a jokester at times. However, this side of him is rarely seen by those outside of his immediate family.

Bio: Aceen grew up on his family’s farm on Talus. As a child, he was always fooling around with his twin brother and best friend, Damus. Together, they were notorious for their uncanny ability to find trouble. Aceen had a quick wit and often didn’t think before he spoke, earning him the nickname, Fikkayi, meaning “fast mouth” in Zabraki. Damus was always looking for a fight, and he knew that if he let his brother run his mouth, he had a good chance of finding one. Aceen called him Fikkasin, which meant “fast fists”.

As they grew older, the twins’ differences in personality grew as well. They traveled to the city for school, where Damus quickly made friends, but Aceen was obviously out of his element. The sheer number of people made him nervous. He became shy and reclusive. It was during this time that he developed his stutter. At first, it was just with teachers and bullies, but soon, he found himself stuttering with everyone except his parents and siblings.

The other kids thought he was strange. Some of them teased him. Some took it further. Damus stuck up for him most of the time, but Aceen didn’t want his brother to get in trouble for fighting his bullies. He started covering up the bruises and stopped talking as much at home. His brother tried to reach out to him, but he had his own life to worry about.

Time went on and the brothers grew even more apart. Aceen had grown more mature and had found a love for reading. He went through book after book, his desire to learn never quite satisfied. He was particularly fond of all things Science. Often, he would perform experiments in the basement, where he spent most of his time. Damus became more rebellious and greedy. He had joined a local gang and was almost never home.

The final straw occurred at the start of the Clone Wars. A troop of clones had gotten stranded on the planet and their Jedi General was very ill. They asked to stay with the Talls until they got their ship fixed, but as time passed, the Jedi’s condition grew worse. Aceen used his experience with sick animals, mixed with the knowledge he had picked up from reading some old medical journals, and he was able to nurse the Jedi back to health. She thanked him and recognized his natural talent in the medical field. After she and the troopers had left, Aceen received a holofile filled with medical research and an invitation to join the Republic Army as a medic-in-training. He accepted.

Less than half a year later, his training was cut short. As the war waged on, the number of injuries increased and out of emergency, Aceen was promoted to a Troop Medic. He was sent with troops that were more likely to face injury and illness, so that they could receive proper medical attention as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, some unforeseen circumstances hindered his ability to perform his job. While on a relief mission, a few locals were strangely afraid of Aceen and refused to let him treat their wounds. Aceen later found out that the leader of their tribe had been murdered by his twin brother, Damus, who had become a bounty hunter after Aceen left the farm. He kept this information a secret out of fear that he would lose his job, but as more and more locals on more and more planets grew a strange fear of him, Aceen knew he couldn’t keep pretending that they were just crazy. So, he did what any logical person would do (yes, that was sarcasm) and faked an illness. He even created a serum which gave him worrisome symptoms for an hour whenever he injected himself with it. He claimed that his time spent in space had made him grow unused to the complex atmospheres of most planets and that he would have to tend to others within the safety of a ship. Eventually, the truth came out, and while Aceen didn’t lose his job, he still had to remain out of the public’s view to avoid conflict with any locals his brother had crossed.

Towards the end of the war, Aceen actually managed to befriend a few of the clones he regularly worked with. When Fives discovered the chips hidden in all the clones, some of them came to Aceen to have their chips removed. Aceen did so and even reversed the rapid-aging effects in a couple of them. Unfortunately, Senator Palpatine got wind of this and accused Aceen of tampering with Republic property. Under threat of being charged with treason, Aceen left his post. He has been in hiding ever since, unaware of many events that occurred in the past few years, such as Palpatine's death or the formation of the Galactic Empire.

Other:

-The Talls expect nothing less than excellence in whatever their children do. In addition, they taught their children to respect strength and honor above legal authority. It is because of this that Aceen holds himself to such impossibly high standards and that he has a deep admiration for honorable soldiers and warriors.

-Aceen is not weak. Physically, he is quite strong. However, he lacks coordination in battle and he lets his nerves get the best of him, causing him to freeze up in a fight. Those who would wish to teach him to fight will find that they’d have better luck training a roba to fly.

Ship: His ship is an XS Light Stock Freighter with an upgraded hyperdrive, ray-shielding, and a built-in carbon freezing chamber. Within the ship, he keeps weapons he's taken from some of his victims as trophies.

Personality: Damus’s personality is pretty similar to most roguish men you see in movies these days. He doesn’t consider the consequences of his actions and has very little respect for authority, doing whatever he pleases. He’s a bit of a flirt and has the charm to back it up. Sarcasm is like a second language to him. Not to mention, he can be a bit of an a-hole at times. Still, he does have some sense of morality and honor. He never double-crosses a client for any amount of money unless they turn on him first, and he refuses to be responsible for the death of someone who is helpless to fight back (though there are some exceptions; it's hard to explain, but it’ll make more sense in the RP). It’s not much, but it’s probably his most redeemable quality.

Bio: Damus had always been a tad rebellious. His brother, Aceen, and him were quite the trouble-makers in their youth. Damus was very close to his brother. Together, they had taken their first steps, said their first words, gotten into, and won, their first fight… They had alot of fun, and everyone thought they were inseparable. Unfortunately, things started to change once they started school in the city.

Right off the bat, Damus had become one of the most popular kids in his class. He was very sociable and charming, making it easy for him to make friends. For a while, he forgot about Aceen, the guy who had been his best friend since birth, his other half, his brother. When Aceen started stuttering when called upon in class and coming home with bruises all over his body, Damus knew something was wrong. When he found out that his brother was being bullied, he was pissed. He beat up anyone he found out was hurting his brother, and needless to say, there were repercussions for his behavior. He got in trouble with the teachers and also lost a few friends, but that didn’t bug him. What bugged him was when Aceen stopped talking to him at home, instead heading down to the basement to read and, more and more often, spending the night down there.

Without his brother, there was a part of Damus that felt kinda… empty. Making more friends didn’t seem to help, so Damus looked for a deeper connection. By the time he finished his schooling, he had dated almost half of the kids in his age group. The last of his significant others was a Devaronian boy who was the leader of a local gang, which Damus wound up joining. He enjoyed the thrill of evading the authorities, and coming from a family of farmers, living in a colony of even more farmers, he definitely enjoyed the extra credits that he got from stealing. Aceen didn’t agree with Damus’s new choice in friends, driving the brothers even further apart. However, it wasn’t until a few years later that they really stopped getting along.

During the beginning of the Clone Wars, a group of clones and their Jedi General stayed with the Talls for a while. During that time, Aceen took care of the Jedi, who was very sick. They left once the Jedi was healthy and their ship was fixed. Damus didn’t think much of it until Aceen was invited to become a medic-in-training for the Republic Army. He was a bit jealous of the opportunity Aceen had been given, but more importantly, he didn't want to completely lose his brother. Sure, they didn't really talk anymore, but at least Damus knew where Aceen was if he ever needed to talk. So, when Damus saw the invitation, he assumed Aceen had already accepted, which made him say some things he regretted. The two of them argued all night. Aceen left a week later.

After his brother left, Damus started getting fed up with life on Talus. His parents wouldn't stop talking about how proud they were of Aceen, and the guys in the gang started splitting up to find legitimate work. After thinking about it for a while, Damus decided to leave home and become a bounty hunter. He had found a ship a few years ago. All he had to do was fix it up and buy a few upgrades. Since then, he’s gotten quite a few jobs, and he’s become quite content with his new lifestyle.

Other:

-He gets uncomfortable near reflective services. More than once, he has waved or said “hi” to a mirror on accident.

-He can't sleep without background noise and often keeps the radio on overnight in his ship.

-When someone pulls the “I have a family” card on him, he can't help but feel guilty. However, the initial guilt only lasts for a second or two, and he usually forgets about it completely as soon as he gets his credits.

-He named his ship Selenor, which means “quest” or “rite of adulthood” in Zabraki.

Ah, yes. I've dealt with that problem.

Hit the "Insert other media" button in the lower right corner of the reply section and select "Insert image from URL". It sometimes inserts this image where you last left off, or it'll put it at the beginning or end of the post. If the latter, copy and paste the picture to where you want it.

Hopefully, that'll work.
