Music A Song That Describes You?

Illiterate

what da dog doin
Just post a song that mirrors how you're feeling. Whether it's overall, or at this very moment.
It'd also be nice if you explain why..

For me, Car Radio is a reminder of how much I live in my head. As I usually lose myself in my thoughts without something to stimulate my mind.

oh my gahddddd, this literally is my life
except I didn't grow up in the suburbs, i'm inner city dawg

"Detached and subdivided
In the mass-production zone
Nowhere is the dreamer
Or the misfit so alone"

Honestly, the last two lines fit my predicament when I was a kid so well
I grew up listening to this kind of stuff, reading ray bradbury and playing video games religiously and writing short stories here and there when nobody else was even close to what I did, I did not have a lot of friends in elementary and middle school, though I met and have about 2-3 good friends in high school

"In the high school halls
In the shopping malls
Conform or be cast out
Subdivisions
In the basement bars
In the backs of cars
Be cool or be cast out"

good lord this line could describe elementary school and middle school so well
all the other kids were into Kanye and jordans and beats, basketball, and being in a white guy in a school practically dominated by latinos and arabs didn't help either (I'm not saying here at all I dislike or hate latinos or arabs, they're great people, it was just really awkward to try and connect with two cultures worlds apart)

"Any escape might help to smooth
The unattractive truth
But the suburbs have no charms to soothe
The restless dreams of youth"
practically explains why I'm such a weirdo, in lieu of friends and being social I wrote read and became an outdoorsman with my pop

wow I wrote an angsty wall of text

Aside from the suicidal undertones (I ain't suicidal) I'm a rather depressing person with a life full of regrets and mind numbing melancholy that I have this need to start again but time is against me.

So set in my ways I drive people away. This song describes me down to a tee.

Al has great music, and you have great taste.

I feel like in some way, we all have our regrets. Some have more than others, but we just have to remember that we're not alone.
It's cool, and you'll be fine.

Imaginary by the band Evanescence

"In my field of paper flowers,
And candy clouds of lullaby
I lie inside myself for hours,
And watch my purple sky sing over me.

If you wish to leave the world you live in,
Lay your head down and stay awhile
Though you may not remember dreaming,
Something waits for you to breathe again."

Not the whole song, but that part stands out to me the most.

Mirror, Mirror by Jeff Williams

Mirror, tell me something
Tell me who's the loneliest of all?

Mirror, tell me something
Tell me who's the loneliest of all?
Fear of what's inside of me
Tell me can a heart be turned to stone?

Mirror, mirror, what's behind you?
Save me from the things I see!
I can keep it from the world
Why won't you let me hide from me?

Mirror, mirror, tell me something
Tell me who's the loneliest of all?

I'm the loneliest of all
