Elliot Ambrose Henderson was the only child from King Julian and Queen Georgia Henderson, the royals from Alyria. The birth of the new heir of the country was a big thing for all the citizens. Since it was known that King Julian was admired all around the country. Due to his way of being a ruler and his objectives to improve the country. So everyone was expecting the newborn to follow the steps of his father.

While growing up, Elliot didn't have a normal childhood instead of spending his time playing and causing trouble, he was secluded with more tutors than he could think of since Alyria was known for his education system it was expected that the future heir was knowledgeable in all the areas and with the strict discipline of his parents that wanted him to be at the top made Elliot became quite the lonely person that was always striking for perfection.

When he became a teenager, his father started making him take important decisions for the country, not ones that would drastically affect the country. But with the mindset that if Elliot's ideas weren't successful he needed to take responsibility for his actions something that didn't make proud King Julian. Since he was expecting his son to be better than him.

At the age of 17, it was the first time that Elliot felt alive, all his life he was supposed to act like this stoic person that didn't let his emotions take control over his decisions, and that always followed the logic. But when he met Gracie Collins, everything changed, she was the daughter of one of his tutors, and she was a breeze of fresh air for him, while he was always secure of his actions, and what he should follow to achieve something every time he was with Gracie, his emotions always took control.

She was the first person that saw Elliot, not as a machine that was supposed to get all this knowledge or the future King of Alyria, instead, she saw him as the real person that he was one with flaws, and that was able to feel. Elliot knew he was in love with Gracie and that he would do anything to be with her, he was sure she was the one and that he would get married to her and they would have a family together.

Hiding so their relationship wouldn't cause trouble between the two until they were ready to say out loud their love was their plan of action, stealing kisses with each other and secret dates were what made Elliot feel finally like a human.

It wasn't until he turned 18 that his parents found out about the relationship between him and Gracie, and they were against the relationship since they were expecting he would marry a girl from the richest families of Alyria

The old Elliot would have agreed on his parents' plans believing it was the best for Alyria. But the one that knew for the first time what it was to be in love and be with your soulmate wouldn't accept his fate, he knew what he needed to do, and it would come as a shock to everyone, he was ready to give up the crown leave his royal life behind to be with Gracie, he could become a teacher or become a tutor, or if Gracie wanted to leave Alyria, he would follow her to the end of the world if that meant they could be together.

When he and Gracie were supposed to run away together he waited on their meeting spot, but she never showed up, feeling heartbroken he returned to be the stoic person he once was even if he was known as a brilliant person he never understood the reason behind why she didn't show up and has been trying to find the true since then. But there hasn't been a single day since he was 18 that he hasn't stopped thinking about what could have been if she had shown up and what their life could have been.

eloise and shaun janoski were high school sweethearts. until high school got over and shaun decided that he wanted to do his own thing and not be tied down. eloise then found comfort in his older brother, levi, and it wasn't long before the two were engaged to be married. they had a small ceremony, with close family — and unsurprisingly, levi's brother (eloise's high school boyfriend) — did not attend. a year later, baby michael was born, bright eyed and fair skinned.

around two years went by before shaun came back into the picture. he'd traveled the world, done amazing things, met amazing people — but in all that time, eloise had never left his mind. and you never forget your first love. that one meeting resulted in a series of sneaky visits and excuses to levi who was staying at home, taking care of michael. one of these sneaky visits, however, ended up taking a turn for the worse when eloise became pregnant for the second time.

eloise immediately wanted an abortion. she couldn't come clean to levi, not after how nice he had always been to her and their son. this would ruin them. but at the same time, she was a married woman having an affair with her husband's brother. nothing about the situation was right. and what was more, shaun didn't want her to abort the child. he wanted the baby, and eloise ultimately went through with the pregnancy.

initially, she tried to pass the baby off as levi's. it wasn't too hard. little charlie had blonde hair, like her mother, but her green eyes came from her father. nonetheless, even if levi himself didn't have green eyes, it ran in the family, so it wasn't questioned, till shaun started making more appearances at the house. he wanted to see his daughter, and eloise tried to keep him at bay, but it wasn't really working. eventually, while his suspicion grew, levi questioned eloise, and she came clean. she'd been seeing shaun behind his back for months. she got pregnant. the baby — little baby charlie — wasn't his.

for the sake of the children, levi was willing to look past his anger and the infidelity to keep the siblings together and to prevent them from growing up in a broken home, but only if eloise was willing to end the affair. grateful that levi was giving her a second chance, she agreed, and shaun, distraught, left town without a word. the family lived like an actual family for a while, till charlie's twelfth birthday when shaun decided he couldn't stay away any longer. not while knowing he had a daughter out there.

charlie's twelfth birthday became a night she couldn't forget. she overheard her parents talking with shaun in the kitchen and found out the truth. all charlie felt toward her mother since then was anger. anger and betrayal. she became withdrawn, from her mother at least, and this lasted up until her death, a year later.

charlie still isn't sure how she feels about her mother, and all the lying and the whole affair. her mother just turned out being the complete opposite of the person she grew up with, and instead of trying to sort those feelings out, she just repressed them. as time went on, charlie continued with her school work, hanging out with her friends, and working on her art, and life became normal by the time she was in her later years of high school.

shaun, her actual father, tends to reach out to her from time to time, even though she's made it clear that she doesn't want to have any kind of relationship with him. her sternness has faded over the years, however, and as soon as she graduated from high school, charlie took the opportunity to study art abroad in alyria, since she got a scholarship. otherwise there was no way she'd have been able to pay to go to a prestiguous college anywhere, let alone in another country that was widely known for their stellar education system. with whatever money she and her uncle could rack up, charlie left her home town, eager to experience life in another country, with all new people.

charlie's brother, who is a rising star in the field of journalism, occasionally visits her, if he has the time and the money, and charlie's father — her actual father — though unable to meet her face to face, remains in contact through letters, which she has finally agreed to respond to, once a month.

right now, charlie's just enjoying her time in alyria, working hard for her art to be recognised while also exploring the beautiful country whenever she can.
eloise janoski — mother
charlie and her mother never totally had a great relationship. growing up, of course, it was nice once in a while, but her mother couldn't help but look at charlie as her dirty little secret — because that's exactly what it was, since she was the result of an affair. when charlie found out, she resented her mother for lying to her for so long, even if charlie had only been twelve at the time. their relationship remained rocky and fueled by anger and resentment till her mother passed away when charlie was fourteen, due to a car accident. part of charlie wonders if she would have ever let go of the anger she felt, for being lied to, but that's something she would only know if her mother was still alive.
shaun janoski — father
charlie's relationship with her father is practically non-existent. she only met the man when she was twelve and she found out that she was his biological daughter, and not the daughter of the man who she'd called father for twelve years of her life. considering he had never had an interest in her till she was twelve, charlie was unwilling to hear him out or let him get anywhere near her. he continues to try to reach out, and though charlie;s anger has faded, she still isn't very keen on trying to have a relationship with him.
levi janoski — uncle
as far as charlie is concerned, levi is her dad. while he is biologically her uncle, he's the one who's always been there for her, and who helped her with her homework, and took care of her when she was sick, and he acted no different even after finding out that she wasn't his actual daughter. charlie strongly believes that blood doesn't need to make a family. and while she may not call levi 'dad' anymore, they both know each other enough to know that even if she's calling him by his name, he's still the only person she considers to be a father figure.
michael janoski — half brother
michael and charlie share a relationship similar to the relationship between most siblings. they fight and they pick on each other, but at the end of the day, they would also support each other no matter what. as much as michael would bicker with charlie as a child, he always stuck up for her and tried to keep her from getting blamed for any trouble that they caused together. when it was revealed that they were half-siblings, michael was definitely stunned, but it didn't change his feelings in any way. as far as he was concerned, she was still his sister. nothing had to change just because she had a different father.
blaire adams — roommate
blaire is quite possibly charlie's best friend. since moving abroad to pursue further education in the field of visual arts, blaire was the first friend that charlie made, since they were assigned to be roommates in the university dorm. after a year of being roommates, the two decided to move out and share an apartment of their own. blaire comes from a very well off family, so her father pays for most of the bills, though charlie insists on giving her share, so that's usually used for any household items they may need — which was a compromise, since blaire had assured charlie that that could be taken care of as well.
