Alistair slid his eyes about his room, surveying it like a king looking over his domain. That simile was almost fitting, he was the crown prince, after all. And, if everything went according to plan, he would become king soon enough. It was only a matter of time until he turned 23 and he could put his years of planning into motion. He had amassed a huge underground following. He had enough power to make a coup and carry the throne, if he had to. But he was too crafty for that. No, it would not be a harsh transfer of power. The King would give it to him willingly, he already did.
