Trigger Warning: Mentions of Self-Harm

Since she was a child, Eloise never got to be like any other kid. Adults would always describe her as mature for her age, a trait that she was always praised for as she was already capable of taking care of her siblings at the age of eight. She relished in being a responsible older sister, the look of favor that her parents and others give her are what came to be the foundation of her personality. While the people outside of her family sees the Clarke-Griffin household as perfect and happy, but both of her parents have issues with managing their anger and often they take it out on Eloise especially when her younger siblings has done something wrong. Their parents also have a shouting match every night even with just the slightest inconvenience, something she tries hard to protect her siblings from hearing and destroy their perception of their perfect family.

At the age of sixteen, Eloise and her family went to an amusement park, perhaps one of the few truly joyful time of her life with all of them wearing genuine smiles, even her parents. Ironically, what was supposed to be the happiest moment of her sixteen years alive became the one she despised the most. A freak accident as people would call it, a thrill ride where the pendulum ride broke down while it was operating and swinging it's passengers back and forth. One of it's hand broke apart due to corrosion, flew above the shocked guests and colliding with another ride, injuring and killing many people. Almost everyone of her family died, save for her who was miraculously uninjured.

"Miracle girl alive with only scratches while everyone else was either dead or severely injured." The words plastered acrossed tabloids with her face. Reporters came to her family's funeral, to her grandparents' lawn and following her to school just to ask how she felt being the sole survivor of the freak accident that they had labeled as "Pendulum of Death" which only made her feel worse than she already did.

Suffering from survivor's guilt with the stress and anxiety that reporters and curious schoolmates brought. To the point that she stopped going to school and wanted feel something else rather than the guilt and despair. Watching the trickle of her blood made her remember that she was still alive and that the pain could never overcome the remorse that she felt.

It went on for months, Eloise had closed herself off of the world. Her grandmother had found her door ajar and found her with an injured wrist. The woman rushed over to her granddaughter with tears in her eyes, Eloise watching the impossible happen in front of her eyes. The miracle that saved her life, magic. Genevah, her grandmother, had then revealed their heritage and the reason why no one else in ttheir family knew of it.

She asked her grandmother to teach her everything that she knew about Healing Magic, and promising to herself that no death will happen to the people around her anymore. She had stayed with her grandmother and stufying under her guidance until she received a letter from Savior's Crest, a school for people like her.

    At first glance, Eve could be considered "not much to look at." Standing at 5'6", barely 130 pounds, she's got a thin, lithe build. All thin, sharp angles and long limbs, someone who could've ran track in high school in another life. Her lack of physical strength is compensated by her magical prowess.

    Eve is Latina, as her father was Colombian and her mother was Mexican. However, she was born in America. Her hair is dark brown, with some natural toffee highlights from many days spent in the sun. She typically doesn't let it grow past her shoulders, and it's usually tied back into a severe ponytail. Her eyes are dark brown, even in the light, and often accompanied by thumbprint under eye bags.

    Her style can be described as tactical and useful. She's not super stylish, she just likes comfortable clothes that function in her day to day life, and tends to prefer warm or monochromatic tones. Tank tops, t-shirts, jeans or joggers, sneakers, nothing fancy. A lot of it stems from not having much to choose from as a child, and now as an adult faced with an overwhelming amount of choice, Eve sticks to what she knows.

    As for modifications, her ears are both triple pierced. She has a small tattoo of her mother's name on the left side of her chest, near her heart.

Ezekiel is a self-assured person. He knows he’s a genius and he’s not afraid to show it. He takes pride in the fact that he’s a skilled alchemist— and he doesn’t hesitate in correcting people when they spread misinformation. Though his pridefulness can often be mistaken for arrogance which is evident by the fact that he’s known as the “Know-It-All of Savior’s Crest”. He isn’t bothered by this title, nor is he bothered by any slander or insult that’s thrown his way. He knows what he’s capable of and if people are intimidated by that, then so be it. Why would he change for people who are insulted by just being faced with facts? However, when he’s proven wrong about something, Ezekiel isn’t the type to apologize. He acknowledges it and goes off to research more into the subject before integrating it into his repertoire.

Due to his relatively stoic personality and incredibly blunt way of saying things, he can come off as condescending whenever someone approaches him for help. He will explain everything you need to know about your question, if you can get past his seemingly judgemental tone of voice. It comes off as demeaning which usually prevents people from seeking his help. Truth be told, Ezekiel has no malicious intent whenever someone comes to seek his help— in fact, he’s glad to be able to aid someone in their further pursuit of knowledge. He would only ever become irritated when his own studying and research is interrupted without prior appointments. He’s a well-organized person and usually doesn’t like his schedules being interrupted by anything less than something interesting.

Ezekiel has no problems with his reputation making him isolated from most of the school. In fact, he seems to thrive in it as he’s able to continue his word uninterrupted in the peace and quiet of his laboratory. However, he also doesn’t mind a bit of company. As long as it doesn’t cut into his research, he’s more than happy to tag along with a couple of people if they’d have him.

Old family, old money, old tradition.

The Farlan family was known for being a long line of Embracers. After all, it is within their tradition to have at least one Embracer in one generation— more, of course, is preferred. They take great pride in this and most are often taught at a very young age. Those who do not become Embracers are placed in smaller, lesser-known branches of the Farlan family where they are cultivated to pursue something in the human realm.

He never found his history to be particularly interesting. Ezekiel was born a year after Maria, his older sister. From a young age, both were expected to become Embracers due to their wide-eyed fascination with magic. However, it soon became evident that only Ezekiel had the potential to become on. As such, Maria was taken out of the equation and sent to another branch of the family to be taken care of. Thankfully, the Farlan family embraced technology as much as it loved magic, and he was able to keep in contact with her. His father was largely absent from the family due to work-related reasons but Ezekiel, when he was older, surmised that it was also because of his mother's overly controlling behavior. It didn't quite matter. The few times that he and his father saw each other were mostly tense. Maria did claim that their father was closer to her and seemed to be a completely different person to her. This didn't quite matter to Ezekiel in the long run.

For most of his childhood, he had spent it in libraries— learning more and more about magic, its history, and whatever else his mother decided was apt for him to learn about. He proved to be a fast learner who had a thirst for knowledge as he continued to study even by himself, finding it to be extremely fun. His “playtime” usually revolved around experimentation. Of course, as a child, he wasn’t exactly a magic-user yet. Instead, he was taught basic chemistry and worked it out from there. Perhaps these factors were what led to him becoming inclined towards Alchemy magic. However, due to his upbringing, his social skills were severely stunted. To his mother, it wasn't that important anyway. As long as he knew how to be polite when it comes to authorities, then it really didn't matter, now did it?

He would often be taken along to high society parties to make connections. Eventually, after a few bumps and bringing Maria into the parties to keep him in check, he had managed to gain enough social skills to keep some form of friendliness with other upcoming Embracers. Most of those connections were superficial, at most, and the only times he ever contacted them was when it was needed or during the parties themselves.

Having prior experience and studies before going to Savior's Crest is the reason behind his standoffish nature. He spends most of his time studying or doing experiments now that he was able to do them in a relatively safer and more well-equipped area.

- One of his most commonly used magic is manipulating quicksilver as a weapon or as an extended tool. He keeps it neatly stored inside a bracelet-like a container on both wrists. The container itself is enchanted to prevent the poisonous effect of mercury to seep into the user.

At first glance Marnie tends to have a lot of smiles and a blank expression most of the time or rather all the time. She always seems bored or blank and doesn't seem to get mad at anything or anyone but at the mention of family she tends to freeze up or get herself out of the conversation she can be slightly aloof or dazed, she can be quite dull. But that doesn't stop her from being smart and being at the top of her class. Despite having an awkward personality it can be easy to hang around Marnie since she never seems to bothered to what people do. Some people just call her obedient or dumb, or even a blank person. Ever since her parents died she seemed to have a much more closed heart in general but doesn't show it. She always described emotions as petty or in her way, but she lets sadness and anger in her heart or when she thinks of her parents murderers. Marnie never expects the best in people she always has a low view on them, since she knows eventually they'll do something stupid so she tends not to get to cuddly and friendly between other strangers and new acquaintances.

Trigger Warning : Death/Violence.

As a kid Marnie was told to be the most obedient one, she was told to be completely blank, she always seemed to agree with anything her parents said without a fight. Of course she always seemed to have a bored expression on her face, her parents asked if she had any disabilities but the doctor always told she was completely healthy. They didn't know what her problem was. But she acted normally, smiling, having fun when she could, she always seemed to just be blank or as if she were missing any other emotions. But her parents loved her anyway, a few years later her little sister was born. The time she could spend with her parents lessened as both of them were busy taking care of her sister, Lily, or working.

Of course Marnie didn't show that she was lonely on studying to get her mind off things. Occasionally her parents could spend some time with her but they would have to get back on taking care of Lily, she felt a sudden flash of anger which she never had before, and only in her mind did she wish that her sister would just be gone for a second. What she didn't realize was her wish was going to come true with more things coming.

The day when Marnie turned 8 her parents were out for a bit, while she took care of her sister. A door rang, she rushed to the door but it wasn't her parents who were in front of her there were a couple of men masks hiding their faces, the barged into the home, Marnie couldn't defy them so she stood quiet clutching her little sister in her arms while she clamped her mouth, the robbers apparently were looking for money anything that was valuable they immediately began destroying the house. Marnie only 8 at the time could only keep quiet, she prayed to god that her parents would come home soon, but that too was the wrong wish. Her parents soon came home but they realized that the door which was usually kept locked was not.

Her parents immediately called 911, but one of the robbers found them calling and shot them at the spot. Marnie couldn't help but cry and scream. But Lily began crying in her arms, she rocked her little sister as hard as she could to make her fall asleep, but then another fire shot and her sister stopped crying as well. Marnie instantly hated herself... All her wishes that she wished all of them came true, but she didn't mean it. She didn't. The men initially thought to kill her but then the police arrived in time to save her.

Marnie couldn't think of anything, the one moment she got angry and wished for something it ended up in a disaster. The only relative that could take her in was her godmother which she had never met before, she took her in as her own daughter while she had 2 daughter herself, both close in age like Marnie, but nothing helped her. She closed off her heart, her sister and parents were dead but she was... Alive. The word brought tears to her eyes. She promised to never hate or have any emotions to remain blank.

She grew up in a household filled with immense hatred for each other, her godmother always seemed to ignore her, and even her daughter. She ignored them too. She felt like a stay an outcast... But she found out later that she herself had a long lineage of embracers... And she herself was a blank. What is a blank? She often asked that herself. Is that the reason why her parents lost their attention to her because as soon as Lily was born they knew she... Was already going to be a great embracer? She hated the thought but it sounded accurate to Marnie. After that she (WIP)

Holly Walker



Marnie and Holly have a sister relationship, when Marnie was taken in Holly was the first one to be able to openly embrace her and treat her completely normal as if the event never occurred, which Marnie appreciated, she was always the elder one despite only being 2 years older than Marnie. She knew the secret about their blood lineage after she got older but she never seemed to tell Marnie because she didn't want to bother her, perhaps among all the people Marnie knows she can most rely on Holly because of their closeness in age and their trust for each other.

















Dana Walker



Dana and Marnie both have a complicated relationship, Dana was in constant need of her mother since she has Depersonalization/Derealization Disorder, when she met Marnie she instantly rejected her, she didn't want her mom to be fussing over a girl she never met before. But after knowing her for a while she slwoly accepted Marnie but she tends to be the one who argues or doesn't like Marnie the most, which Marnie doesn't really care about.

Marnie and Anne have a mother and daughter relationship, they treat each other with both trust and love, because when Marnie was an orphan she was the one who took her in. Despite already having a hard time with two girl of her own, she supports Marnie in whatever she does and even now she does. But, she never told Marnie about their lineage, she didn't want to...
