Alright, here are some details to explain a few things about the plot.
- all of the remaining teens and young adults were infected with the unknown illness. It worsens every negative emotion that they may feel. What's worst was that it shows how much they're closer to death with dark black spots and veins appearing around their limbs (think venom but doesn't cover their skin as much as that) The Illness itself doesn't inflict pain physically nor mentally. Usually when one has completely given up, they would just fall asleep and never wake up again.
- the teens and young adults are mostly overwhelmed by the fact that they were on their own as their fears set in. As for food and water supplies, they still have lots of them from the nearby stores as there was no one that would take them and it only had been a few months after the disappearance
- They stayed at the city hall and use that as their base. They also managed to get fresh and clean water easily. Basically they could take anything and everything.
