So, I live in New Zealand, I can't say I'm the most news-aware person in the world but gun violence usually isn't much of an issue here as far as I am aware. I'd have to look into how many incidents when have in proportion to our population to be sure.
Even before the recent events, though...
I don't know if it's can't so much as won't at this point, but I've played through Final Fantasy 8 to the final boss, like, five times at this point and have never finished the game.
A final boss should be good. They generally shouldn't be pushovers, but everything should be done with a reason, including difficulty. One of the best final bosses ever is Gwyn from Dark Souls as mentioned by OP, and he's a pushover, especially when compared to the midgame boss of Ornstein and...
Because most people play for singleplayer, and most of two's bosses and levels were mediocre. Also because hating 2 is just as much of a meme as hyping the difficulty.

The fact that Death Stranding is an exclusive makes me want to scream.
So does the fact that no TV means no P5, but at least I don't need a whole new console for that one.
It's sequel for PEEE CEEE, no less. I'm not going to stop being excited about that until release.
Seeing Nier come up always makes me a little sad, because I haven't played a Yoko Taro game since the first Drakengard and can't play them right now cause no TV ;~;
