Actually both of them acknowledge the existance of their older fanbase and quite often do stuff for both them and the younger audiance.

"I could care less" is an American take on the british "I couldn't care less." It popped in the 1960's and took ground since then. "Couldn't" is still popular, but I could care less isn't technically considered wrong. So with that I'll bid you a fuck you and have a nice day.

That makes no sense. "I could care less" is like saying "this is fine because I could definitely give less of a f*** about this but I don't so clearly it's not exactly all bad" while saying "I couldn't care less" is like saying "I literally can not overstate how much I don't give a s***"
