on one of my old rp sites someone asked me if i would do a pokemon rp. as the pokemon.

Technically the weirdness of those rp is directly proportionate to wich side of the furry fandom they come from.

i'm not talking about furries that use like furries as their characters. i'm talking about full fledge animals. like they use animal photos.

Also ostriches are confirmed to have sexualities. The only wierd thing about that is that it's only really confirmed with sexual preference for humans of a certain gender. I don't understand it myself but it's a true fact.

And given the type of rp an animal is fully acceptable and makes sense sometime. Magical girl rp and don't want to play a magical girl? Play the adorable mascot. Pokemon mystery dungeon roleplay? You know exactly where that's going.

im talking about making animals date each other. not about furries but real life animals. cats and dogs. if you're a furry you can make furry rps, but it's a little weird when you play an actual dog.

Well, of course. If you're looking at the kind of roleplay that is sexualized and it involves beastiality, it's gonna be weird. Because the people writing in them are the kind of people who'd write sexual fanfics of animals. But there are animal rps where people are NOT like that. Where they legitimately have reason to enjoy the story better as seen from an animal perspective.

90 percent sure that's a. Not how real life animals work and b. Not really possible due to most interspecies relationships (with the exceptions of the occasional hybrid) not ever working out. So now I see your point. On the bright side it's not as wierd as animal/human interspecies relationships.
