Yeah! I've been watching since episode one and it is the one anime I kept following consistently (Well, alongside Shingeki no Kyoujin 2)
I admit I have dropped the ball in the past few weeks tho, what with getting sick and stuff. IT WASN'T A FUN PERIOD : P
I actually did kind of stop watching the series before episode 13(the recap episode in which Meteora roasts Altair with exposition). But I managed to catch up to episode 21 in one straight sitting and my emotions are now in a disarray :^)
I made a full version of that RP 13 magane snapping song. Ever since that recap Re:creators became my favorite anime. I even wanted to do an RP around the concept ...
I love how the anime is so meta. It kind of gave me a slight inspiration to actually continue creative writing. And perhaps, not make my characters suffer... Not too much, at least.
I think I watched one episode after the recap one. The series kept jumping a weekend and I was getting freaking anxious about that! It's the silver lining of my weekend dammit >w<
The one thing that it's guaranteed to be nice on my day, you know? XD
I need to catch up with this once I catch up with posts :3
I loved that recap episode. NEVER in the history of my life I have watched a recap ep or even like movies that are basically the few first eps of a series because I don't like re-watching what I know.
YET, this one was so nicely done, I watched it without being bored!! +O+ And Meteora is freaking Awesome! >w<
"Grasshopper Goggles" I only wish that the other characters were given the chance to react to Meteora's comments. Ah, that would absolutely be perfect!
You're in for a ride catching up to the 2nd last episode :^)
Yeah the show really inspired me to want to push my writing to a new level and give it even more meaning. And the show hardly ever disappoints. It's so sad to me that because of mass in abyss and sequels it's just not getting attention.
It's really an underrated anime. I wish more people would give it a shot but I don't think it would appeal to the majority. It was one of the top 4 anime during its season, but it kind of got overshadowed by the other hyped anime in the next season, like Kakegurui. I'm still surprised that Fate/Apocrypha is still holding its place.
I agree completely. I might have only clicked on it in curiosity (There was Re:Zero and it was interesting, wonder what this other series is about), but boy was I surprised! I liked it so much that through the entire week I'd have the opening song stuck on my head~ ...Kinda like now, that first opening done was too damn cool >w<
I think the problem re:creators has is 1 a normal art style , even if t's polished into brilliance and 2 people not being able to follow it's meta narrative or confusing it for an action show and then getting disappointed by the dialogue
I agree with the 'it's not for everyone', some people in the KissAnime comment section were losing the point of the whole thing and would only complain, either about Sota or about the long but needed expositions... I'd lump this with the likes of Steins;Gate. If you like one you're more likely to enjoy the other.
I would also find that some of the tricks re:creators pulls, like making their creation characters blander at first on purpose, may be lost on a lot of people.
In any case, I'll be writing an analysis defending the show when it ends
