Isn't Nightcore just speeding up a song to make it sound more Anime?

So no other forms of technical modifications? They just speed up the song? God damn you millennials and your 'music'!? When I was young, I didn't listen to Justin Bieber or Soulja Boy, no sir. We had real music, like the Rolling Stones, Queen, AC/DC, Guns And Roses, Led Zeppelin, Jimi-fucking-Hendrix, the White Stripes, and mooooooooore!

I don't see a point in nightcore, it literally makes songs squeaky and fast, half the time its not even good songs they use. Luckily they don't touch my metal.
