If you need some ideas on what to include in your introduction to the community, you can mention:
  • Your experience with roleplay and how long you have been roleplaying.
  • What interests you have within roleplay, such as genre or settings.
  • What interests you have outside of roleplay; such as a hobby.
  • Why you decided to join RpNation.
  • Write about your pet (if you have one).
  • Or for something silly, two truths and a lie.

You can use those prompts or just introduce yourself as you wish to the community.

While we are happy to have this thread help you meet and make new friends, please remember this isn't the spot to converse about roleplays, in-depth conversations, or taking over the thread with ongoing chit-chat. ;3

Hi! Y'all can call me Xaf, Xafin, or CJ. I've been RPing on and off since I was eleven, and I'm twenty now, so it's been a long time! I love RPing supernatural themed threads, and often will want to play multiple characters at once, though occasionally I can get carried away if I'm playing multiple characters. Outside of RP, I LARP and knit. The knitting can get expensive- I'm totally a yarn hoarder.

This site was brought to my attention by a college friend who is very dear to me. I hope we get to RP together, though we tend to RP different things.

I guess the reason I'm here is to introduce myself. Hi my name is Brendon, Tiredeyes is fine too. The reason for joining this wonderful site is to hopefully to find like minded individuals that enjoy the same things I'm into. The subtext here being the previous bastion of hope I have clung to for so many years has finally crumbled and now a search through open waters must begin for refuge. I am looking for roleplayers who like gender benders, sci-fi, modern fantasy, comedy, and maybe even some romance. I'm a perlific writer when i'm put in the mood, my average is about 3 long paragraphs, with usually passable english grammar. Outside of roleplays I do alot of table top games as a dm (no I will not dm for you) in addition to that i'm interested in game design and storytelling. I don't mean like telling people stories but the art and mindful choice of details makes up a great memorable story. I'm hoping I've at least caught someone's interest feel free to send me a message, I'd love to have a conversation or two.

i know how you feel, i too have had that same anxiety. i litereally bookmarked this site for about half a year, and today is the day i've worked up the courage to register and postsomething

Apologies about the delayed response, didn't get the notification for this for some reason.

It's entirely normal to be nervous, but I assure you, also nothing you need to especially worry about. As long as you can be honest without being a d*ck and keep in mind the site's PG rating, nobody will have a problem with'cha. RPN is a pretty open and welcoming community to all kinds of interests after all, and the friendly community is one of the things that makes this place so great (to me anyways XD).

And the guide might help too ;)

thank you i feel welcomed already. if you don't mind i do have a quick question. so that title that appears under my user name. is that changed at random or can i edit that? if so how?

You can absolutely change it. You just need to go to your "account settings", and in there specifically "account details". You can find a link to that by clicking on your icon/username at the top right of the screen.

Once in account details, just change what's written in "custom title".

Until you change your title to something specific though, it will continue to give you a random title based on your post count.

Hi, I see you speak one of the languages I speak. I live in Portugal, so I have some experience with european portuguese. I have a, let's call it accent, though, as the very first language I learned was german and only latter in life I took some effort to create bounds with the community surrounding me. I am meant to know how to speak french from a school course I took, but that language never really stuck with me. Recently I tried learning Lojban but never really had the chance to practice it so I just know some really basic stuff.

Oh absolutely, that's the truth for me for sure. I tend to like to rip back stuff too, so I'll start a project, dislike it, and get rid of it mid project. I have two bags full of yarn, and one completed project. (I'm a new knitter)
 
Hello, you can call me Auti and I am 24 years old. Honestly, I don't have much experience in role-playing and it's been a few years since I've done anything like it on Gaia. I'm used to writing short stories in my free-time, but it doesn't fully satisfy my mind's craving for some imagination. I need something more fulfilling to escape the world of reality. I'm interested in fantasy and romance since that is really the only genre I have experience in. However, I am always interested in trying new things and would love some guidance. I prefer something LGBTQ+ friendly. Outside of role-playing I enjoy reading, playing video games, and spending time with people and my pets. As mentioned previously, I've only ever role-played on Gaia Online, but that site isn't as active anymore and so I need a new place to take my imagination and stumbled upon this site from a quick Google search. Anyways, please be patient with me while I wipe all of this dust off and offer me your guidance on how to begin the creative process and get these juices flowing.

welcome, i can wholly relate. i used to roleplay alot of gaia but that community is about a year away from being completely dead

It's kind of unfortunate because I really enjoyed that site for awhile and was actively role-playing in different guilds. Nice escape.
 
Hello everyone,

I've been rp'ing for about 10 years, I love to write, but unfortunately I lack the time to properly do so. English is not my native language(dutch), But I think I do allright for myself.
I'm currently studying psychology, which is great but slurps up a great amount of my time, thus I am only able to reply during the evening hours. (evening hours in holland.)
I would love to write something in the post-apocalyptic, or horror genre. But am open to other suggestions. For now I'm just going to browse the site and see if I can find a fun thread to join.
