Getting up in a hurry as he noticed Weglas was already moving on, Azal cupped his hands together, bringing forth more solar energy, and tossed them up into the air, causing the energy to form into several small spheres that began to slowly revolve around him. "Just in case.. this should take care of anything we missed." Azal said to himself, paying little attention to the complaints of his party. The sun-like spheres distanced themselves from Azal as no wounds were detected on his person, and eventually they began to gravitate towards the nearest wounded creatures, with one of the spheres briefly gliding past the girl's drake, accelerating the healing process of it's injuries. However, after that, the three spheres all began to follow Gruntus intently, swirling around him, shining pleasant rays of sunlight upon his wounds as they traversed through the island's environment. After a few minutes, the spheres would shrink down to nothing upon expending all of their energy. Quados Quados

Stepping out from the shade of the forest, Azal stretched out his arms and shook his bright blue and gold feathers. Looking far into the distance, he focused in on those mountains in the distance, becoming filled with curiosity. "Fascinating that people truly live, or lived.. in such a place. It's hard to imagine reaching such heights here on the ground, even more so if this land was still above the clouds!" He laughed and placed his hands on his hips, now directing his attention to the village ahead. "Hmm.. I agree, i'm sure there's much we could learn from these people!" Azal said cheerfully, looking back at Farr, and then to Weglas. NeonFlow NeonFlow

Farr stood to peer out from behind some cover the trees provided. “We’d be spotted walking along the clearing anyway. We’d have to wait til night to avoid being seen... I doubt the Forrest is safer at night.”

weglas scowled before speaking, “we could stay on the outskirts going round, hunt some game as we travel”
We don’t know what’s safe to eat you coward...” Farr brushed the hair out of his face with a sigh before continuing.
“why don’t we take a vote? Those for avoiding the skyrace and those who’d rather ask questions to the winged people”

Weglas cleared his throat, “I vote we avoid them,”
Farr spoke again “I’ve no problem with others looking to learn more while we are here. I’d probably stay further back but I want to see how the skypeople live”

One vote for avoiding the skyrace,
One vote for finding out more from the skyrace.

Udgrirr Riki

Location: Forests of Chlokoka
Mentions: Farr (( Rurnur Rurnur ))

Udgirr hops along the trees through aide of the carrying winds, whilst near enough just to hear anyone clearly among his allies, whether it be of bickering, or of discussion. Farr states of a vote, a simple one: whether the group should choose to stay clear of the fabled skyrace, or to make contact and possibly learn more of them compared to the former option?

"If I could, I'd vote for a neutral standing as I do not want to impede anyone's wishes, but since that is not the case." Udgirr all said quickly, then catches up with another long leap to continue speaking "... excuse me-- since that is not the case, I say we do not make any contact as of yet. I feel I do not need to state a reason." Udgirr says and keeps quiet, scouting along the path ahead of everyone, which seems to be void of any hostile entities. Still, one cannot stave of the way their gut tells them of watchful predators that could arise from anywhere at the moment.

"There's much to gain, little to lose from venturing forth into this village, and it's been made very much clear that even during daylight hours, these forests pose quite the threat to our little expedition. I must reiterate the thoughts of Sir Farr, we'd have no business wandering these unknown lands in the dead of night, especially after refusing to even consider resting somewhere safe. Another vote to meet the native people!" Azal raised his arm proudly, flourishing his feathers. For the bird especially, travelling at night was absolutely not ideal, perhaps for the average mammal who evolved specifically to survive after nightfall, it wouldn't be such a problem. However for this creature, the setting of the sun meant only one thing.. sleep.

"Might I add, it wouldn't be necessary to intrude on these people's daily lives with burning questions, but to merely request refuge for the night, and perhaps a little trading! The questions may come if they are welcome, but again, i'm sure there will be plenty to learn, just from making this stop on our journey. Besides, if we are truly destined to head towards those mountains, a full night's rest would do us all well to ensure a most successful expedition!" He spoke loudly to the party, making sure all could hear his concerns.

Ayda followed after the party atop her broom, hovering over the vegetation while she scribbled furiously in her journal. Occasionally she would look up, or tuck away the leaf or flower of a passing plant within the bulk of her bag. Her drakes stayed around her for a time, but soon grew bold enough to soar a little ways ahead of the group.

After a time they made it to the clearing and took a short break to discuss the next objective. Judging by the size of our group --and the distinct lack of grace in certain members-- it is unlikely that one of the locals have yet to notice our presence. At this point it is merely a waiting game as to who will make the first move. First impressions, yes?” She made a mark in her journal then closed it and looked up. “I only managed to survey the land that I could see from the skies. Even still, this area is heavily forested and the finer landmarks, not to mention dangerous areas, are yet to be documented.”

The witch shifted her posture on her broom, casually swinging one leg over the other. She gave a tip of her head to Farr. “The rogue makes a fine point. We have little knowledge on the local fauna, and roaming around unknown land in the middle of the night is a poor plan. I say we attempt to make contact with the locals. They could prove to be quite useful.”

As they left the forest and came to the opening, they saw a village, not far, they could sleep there without being in danger of monster but the people there could attack them 'cause they don't know them, so the group started a vote. Gruntus was a little annoyed, why vote, if those guys attack them, then they would be killed and the group could sleep in the city. He sighed and looked too their leader. "I dont care, do what you want" He sat down and stared to the city.

Farr couldn’t help but agree with the Elf, as smug and all knowing as she sounded. The locals probably heard or seen some clue of foreigners.
The young man assumed correct when it came to how Udgirr and Azal answered.
Udgirr being a bit reserved and Azal making the act of socialising seem easy.

Farr felt a bit off put by Gruntus though. The large man said he didn’t care, but the annoyed tone and general demeanour of the brute seemed to give off a murderous vibe. This man didn’t care about anything, there had to be something… how did weglas find this guy? Doesn’t matter, he gave me the right to speak for him.

“I count that as four against two, I think Azal Agnis and Ayda should represent us, they don’t appear as..” Farr coughed into his arm choosing to use the Elf’s description of the less friendly. “..rogue as the rest of us”

gruntus himself and Udgirr probably seem like the sort you wouldn’t want in your home.

Weglas showed obvious signs of annoyance, he kept glancing toward the structure visible in the mountain. “I’m in charge of this expedition, so I say-“
Weglas stopped demanding to crouch down. “Up there” he snaps to everyone pointing out some skyracers flying from the mountains. One of them breaks from the group to fly towards the Forrest our party is taking a break in.

Ayda gave a nod of agreement at Farr’s conclusion. “Hmm, yes. A wise decision.” she said chuffly, giving a quick glance at the dwarf woman.

The elf then whistled sharply, calling her familiars back to her. Both flew over, one taking a place on her shoulder while the other hoverd in a lazy circle above her head. She muttered something in elvish to them, earning a small chirp from the blue drake and a grumble from the other.

She almost seemed unsurprised when Weglas pointed to the sky and announced the approach of one of the winged humanoids. “Ah, here we are. Everyone, do try your best to be tact. If that proves to be difficult then I recommend silence. Not only will the success of this meeting help in further relations with the natives, but it may just save you from being eviscerated.”

For the first time since the group’s arrival, Ayda stepped off her broom, her high boots falling lightly upon the grass. Once the elf had landed on the ground, the broom made a twirl in the air and leaned neatly against the nearest tree.

Ayda brushed her hands along her shirt and adjusted her hat. She then moved a little ways ahead of the group (with the assumption the birdman would follow), so that the incoming skyracer could tell who to talk to first.

Or attack.

It was a possibility, but not one that she was underprepared for. Should the figure prove to be aggressive, she had a defensive spell at the ready.

“Remember, keep your demeanor passive.” she called back to the group.

As the skyracer flew towards the party Farr could only feel jealousy. Those wings opened up the world in crazy ways. Farr stood to walk beside weglas pulling him to his feet by the back of his shirt collar. “don’t act scared you fool
This particular skyracer had spent the last three months visiting Dunwel, but the surprise he had to see Aerthborn people on Chlokoka!!

He saw various interesting looking characters
A woman on a flying stick!
A birdlike creature that wears clothes and stands like a man!
A floating warhammer! Wait, no some tiny child is holding the large weapon!!

“Ahah the others be fools to avoid this...” the skyman was fast, his wings flap quickly before stretching out allowing him to glide down to tree level. Soaring across the clearing closing the distance between them faster then anyone might have expected.

With brown hair, tanned skin and pure white wings that almost seemed blinding in the sunlight. The young skyracer landed before Ayda and the rest of the group with a bright smile.
“Hail travellers!” he raised his hand in a fist to bang his chest in some sort of greeting. His robes seemed to be a greyish white fur with a mixture of tanned hide armour, he had no weapon as far as anyone could tell.
“My name be Yahno Tafu. My father be Chlokoka’s chief, I honour your Aerthland ways.”
The young man’s smile seemed friendly enough, but in Farr’s eyes all the sky folk seemed to look handsome or beautiful. Most people always trusted that. Farr tried to be more cautious in that regard. He Seems a bit, tribal.
at least he isn’t taller then me. Looks a bit scrawny compared to me, looks like a twig compared to grunt.

“Did you fly to Chlokoka? Use aerthland magic?” Yahno looked at each person wondering if any had succeeded in climbing Chlokoka. His father said people could try to reach their home, but not to help them.

Weglas went to speak but seemed to lose all his words. When it came to the skyrace he had no clue what to offer or say, he decided on speaking when spoken to.

Gruntus looked up and saw this winged man, this must be one of the natives. Gruntus looked to his comrades and knew instantly that he should try to lay low, he knew that his presence alone can make people uneasy and he didn't wanted to be blamed when something went wrong, so he just looked into another direction, to avoid any kind of interaction, his leader or one of the others should deal with this.

Agnis was about to retort back to Ayda when the voice of the elf that hired them interrupted her. She let out an annoyed huff before turning her back to the elf, the hammer on her shoulder. She knew she shouldn't have accepted a job from an elf, but she needed money and this was the only job willing to accept her. This is was really just going to be a pain in ass, this elf mage was going to get on her nerves this whole time.

She was just the embodiment of the elves Agnis hatted. Tall, prissy, bitchy, and weak. This was going to be a long day. At the question of if they should talk to the skywalkers Agnis just shrugged, they couldn't be much worse than the elf mage here. Agnis began to tune the group out after that, it couldn't be anything important if they weren't addressing her directly, plus she preferred to go with the flow rather than preforming plans.

Her attention was grabbed though by a man with bright white wings landing in front of them. As he raised his hand in a fist Agnis tightened her grip on her hammer, ready to strike when she realized the man wasn't going to do anything with that fist. She relaxed her arm again and itched her head awkwardly and gave the man a little wave with her hand that wasn't holding her hammer, "Uh, Yo. Nice to meet you Nano was it? Sorry I am bad with names that are mouth fulls."

Ayda watched the winged figure's approach, observing the speed of his decent. While she had the luxury of flight herself, she hardly held a candle to one that was born for the skies.

'Ah, such grace!' she thought 'How easily the humanoid physic melds to flight... Simply marvelous! I'll have to get a scan of one of them. Hmm, though I suppose an autopsy won't be an option for a very long time.'

Soon enough the skyracer's glorious flight ended in front of the group. He introduced himself as Yahno Tafu and "honored their Aerthling ways". Whatever that meant. Regardless, the son of the chief would be a good start to a friendship between races.

"A bit of both, I suppose." Ayda said in response to Yahno's question about their origins. She then gave a formal bow, her twin drakes fluttering momentarily before settling back onto either shoulder. "My name is Ayda Brightleaf. It is an honor to meet you, Yahno, and on behalf of my allies, we bid you salutations. "

Before either could say anything else, the dwarvish woman introduced herself. As annoying as her voice was, it couldn't be helped at this point. "Ah yes, these are my companions." she started, pointing back to each individual as she called out their names, "Gruntus, Azal, Farr, Udgirr, and Weglas."

Udgirr haphazardly followed along the tree tops, and at this point did not find the conversation of the group important enough, allowing himself to relax a bit whenever he was ahead of the group, or move only when he is a bit too behind. They've decided to pursue contact with the Skyrace, and Udgirr merely shrugs that the vote did not go his direction, admittedly being fine going either way.

The hobgoblin merely sat at the branch of a short tree as the group has met with what he heard, if correctly, was the chief of the people who live here. How utterly familiar...

At the moment, those of, er hem, least approachable, were instructed to not keep ahead of the group so that introductions and impressions will show the more brighter sides of the Aerth people. Udgirr nodded at the Sky person as Ayda pointed to him as she introduces everyone.

Yahno smiled with a bow copying Ayda thinking that was just how Aerthlanders greet each other, He was learning so much already! “honour to you and allies for reaching Chlokoka, Chief Tafu would like to greet the first to survive the climb.”
his face turned to Aydas broom before letting out a laugh “to think one could use a branch to fly”

Yahno’s eyes turned downward towards the dwarf with kindness as he returned the waving gesture to Agnis, “Yah-no be me strong child, Na-no be my Kin.” the skyracer flapped his wings to suspend himself in the air for a moment. “A pack of Aerthlanders,” He deduced outloud as he was done remembering the names and who was pointed out. Landing again he spoke to Ayda, “i ask of you and allies purpose... ah, come out from the trees, the Yakawho can cause blights

Farr tried to make a mental list,
He thinks the elf is the leader and the rest fall under the team name of allies
Suppose it’s lucky their language is basically ours... just their names are odd. Yakawho...

The leader is chief Tafu. This is the chief’s son Yahoo.
Does he expect us to bow? No, he doesn’t act like royalty would.
he likes our ways? He must mean Dunwel.
hah, he thinks the dwarf is a child.

weglas cleared his throat and took a step out from the trees to approach the winged boy.
“ are we safe to enter your, uh. Town?”
Yahno took a second but his eyes lit up as he understood,
“the village is safe for allies” with that he flew in the air to speak to all of them.

“follow me, i can answer questions as we travel. the trees be dangerous to those who don’t know”
he flew a bit into the clearing beckoning the rest to follow as he hovered off the ground waiting.
Farr wasn’t a fan of being in visible open spaces, but it seemed safer then the trees... he and weglas moved to follow. The distance they had to travel to the village seemed far, a good time to ask questions. Farr had many he had asked himself as they moved through the forest, now with a native here those curious thoughts dried up.

Azal immediately stepped forward and bowed gracefully before the skylander, enamored by this strange amalgamation of creatures, some sort of humanoid.. but with the wings of a bird? Tilting his head at an odd angle, he silently observed this man for a moment, coming to the conclusion that this must be the result of some form of powerful magic. Raising his feathered arm in greeting as Azal was introduced, he added a polite "My greetings, Sir Tafu." with a nod of the head. He had hoped the locals would be a welcoming sort, but for them to be greeted so warmly, so quickly, was most definitely a pleasant surprise. Now they had their ticket, and just needed to focus on not doing anything to mess it up.. he began to wonder how much the skylanders attitude would change if they discovered the somewhat cheap method used to reach the island, though they seemed impressed by the Elf's abilities regardless.

Hurrying forward to follow behind the skylander, Azal stated breathlessly "I simply cannot explain how grateful we would all be to spend the night in your village, Sir Tafu! I may not speak for the others, but the journey so far was beginning to take it's toll on this body." He placed a hand on his shoulder and pretended to rub a sore muscle, while laughing cheerfully. "By the way good sir, do my eyes deceive me, is that some kind of fortress in the mountains there?" He pointed to the large structure in the distance. "How magnificent! Not to besmirch your fine village, but I just cannot deny my curiosity, do you know of this place? Could it be built by your people as well?" Azal tilted his head up to the skylander, with genuinely interested eyes. Playing the part of the intrigued tourist would not be difficult for Azal, allowing him to ask the most pertinent questions without seeming at all suspicious or dangerous.

NeonFlow NeonFlow

Yahno smiled politely as Azal spoke, that is until the structure in the mountains was brought up. The skyracers face turned stiff as Azal pointed to his Peoples temple.

“mmm” yahno answers, his face eases up as he explains...
“the temple be a sacred place in Chlokoka. Pa told father who told me,
Our people used magic to raise the mountains from soil. That they carved the.. fortress from the mountain. When Pa was a boy, people would leave offerings there for safety... Pa says Chlokoka fell from the sky as Akurra was hungry and wrathful... Pa be wrong”
yahnos tone turned a bit sour at the end mentioning his grandfathers theory as to why the island no longer sat in the clouds.

Weglas was glad someone asked the question. Farr was more concerned about the name the winged boy mentioned. His ancestors made a magic mountain to carve a holy place? That’s overkill. What the hell is Akurra?
Father is his chief, pa must be the fathers father.
Akurra... ah-coo-ra, Akurra... doesn’t seem familiar... sounds dangerous though.

“what’s Akurra?” Farr realised he spat that out loud as Yahno turned around to meet his eyes.
“a Monster, Akurra be a monster”
Farr squinted at the handsome fuck with a annoyed look. A monster could be anything you vague tosser

Ayda gave a small chuckle at Yahno's comment on her flying branch. "Well it's not really a branch anymore, but it does fly." she said, then held her hand out towards the branch. In a matter of seconds it flew to her grasp, like a magnet to metal. She hopped on as if to demonstrate, then followed after the skyracer as he lead them presumably towards his village.

She was glad when Azal took over the conversation, for it freed her up to take notes on all that was said. In particular, the information about the skyracer's sacred site was beyond intriguing. What sort of religious practices did they carry out? Did they worship a single god or a pantheon? Perhaps an ambiguous power? The elf listened intently to the conversation, soaking up every word. Even Moh, who'd typically ignore such conversations, was listening from his perch on Ayda's shoulder, head resting on his paws.

When Yahno spoke of Akurra she looked up from her notes, though her quill kept moving. "What sort of monster could take down a floating mountain of this size?" she asked, her head tilted slightly to the side. "It'd have to be at least a behemoth-class species to commit carnage of this caliber. Unless you mean to suggest it was one of your kin? A mage perhaps? Even still, that would take rather impressive magic."

Yahno made a noise of dissatisfaction before elaborating further. Seemingly weighing it up in his mind before speaking...
“hold still” Yahno directs the party as he raises his left hand infront of him, a portal opens above his hand and a spear drops perfectly into his grasp.
No metal spearhead however, it seemed to be large fangs or claws tied at the end of a stick.

Yahno flew half a foot off the ground as he poked his spear in the ground, cutting into the grass and dirt. Yahno drew a sketch of Akurra.
BDE75F95-F9E6-42C8-8547-42ACEFE379AA.jpeg
(Akurra seems to be a snake),
“Akurra be colourful and large, but now Akurra be dark.”
pointing his spear towards the temple he continued
“Akurra be below dirt, he lives in all of Chlokoka. The tafu’s don’t know why Chlokoka fell, But Yahno has met Akurra... colourful Akurra be magic, dark Akurra be monster. Sacred Temple leads below surface.”
with his drawing complete yahno draws a circle to illustrate how big the snake is.
“that be temple size, that be Akurra size”

Gruntus listened to what Yahno said and looked at the winged-man. "So you are telling me that your people raised this island but this snake was now corrupted in the exact time where this island fell to the ground?"

Gruntus looked again at the drawing but went silent again. Why should I care about this, we will do for what we came here and that will be the end.

Yahno looked at the big brute of a man, his statement seemed like a question.
“My people made the mountain. Chlokoka be a Skyland. Not from the Aerth.”
as gruntus mentioned Akurra being corrupted a flash of anger washed over the skyracers face. Yahno took a calming breath before continuing.
“Akurra was magic, now Akurra be monster... Chlokoka falling not Akurra or my people’s doing.”
with that yahno threw his spear into the air as his other hand created a portal for the spear to fly into. The skyracer continues to walk with the party leading them to the village, though his mood is noticeably different.

Farr noticed the village they are heading towards is slowly gathering a crowd.
This one’s friends must have shared what was seen..

Hmm.. magic mountains, offerings to the gods.. as expected, this new land was a strange one, but interesting nonetheless. This snake-creature, could such a massive animal truly exist? He spoke of the creature becoming a "monster", but what could this mean? Had the beast become ill? But.. does the beast even exist? Azal had many more questions, but at this moment he had the self-restraint not to pry any further, he hoped there would be plenty an opportunity to learn from within the village, but that would be all for nought if the party was on bad terms with these people before even arriving there. What drew more immediate concern was the description of that place as "sacred", and if their expedition was truly destined to travel there..

Azal followed close by Yahno's side as they began to approach the village. "Well then, the magic of your people must be truly incredible to accomplish such a feat! I simply couldn't imagine the people of my tribe possessing such grand power.. although.." He trailed off, and stuffed one of his hands into the belt on his pouch, before pulling out a rather large nut, that seemed to emit a soft amber glow if one concentrated enough. "We do possess some of the greatest snacks in the land! In my humble opinion.. I insist, you must try one my friend!" Azal offered it to the man in dramatic fashion, before blinking a couple times and drawing his arm back. "Ah.." He mumbled before placing the nut within his beak, and cracking it open with a loud snap to reveal the bright orange core, glowing strangely. "My most favorite, not just tasty, but it shall make you strong! It's said the healing light never leaves the body.. excellent for food poisoning." Wide-eyed and hopeful, Azal offered the snack to Yahno as they walked together.

NeonFlow NeonFlow

As yahno took what Azal offered he gave the nut a bit more of a look. As one might try a new food the skyracer looked at the birds hopeful eyes with a confused question. “food poisoning?” Farr chortled to himself, the miscommunication seemed funny. “He means it’s a cure, the nut be a cure
ahh, ahahh..” yahno laughed along a bit off put by the humans sense of humour. Yahno stared at the food once more before he hesitantly took a bite, it didn’t seem poisonous... just a bit crunchy. He ate half of it before using a portal to get rid of the remaining.
“I give thanks Azal.. Azal’s most favourite is, different... the forest has meat, fruit, small nuts, none be Azal’s most favourite” yahno made a portal with one hand and with his other he reached into it, pulling out a light blue fruit, it looked similar to the shape of a apple but the skin was a rough texture.
“this fruit be Zazz, zazz be sweet but cause sleep. No eat while sun shines” he offered it to Azal to honour trade and to not be in debt. Not that anyone would know.
Farr was instantly interested. Did he just say that fruit makes one sleep? Like the stories about not trusting a witch’s offer?

The group was within screaming distance of the village!

Ayda blinked in surprise when Yahno created a perfect portal and summoned from it a spear. The weapon may have been rather primitive, but not the magic that had conjured it. Impressive.

The elf leaned over as the skyracer began carving a crude drawing into the earth. “A serpent? As large as that temple? Interesting…” she muttered, her quill pausing for a moment while she pondered the possible candidates.

Ayda continued to write as the conversation shifted between her “Allies”, taking notes here and there. In particular, the exchange of ‘gifts’ between Azal. It took some restraint not to correct the beastkin on the rumor that the glow ‘never left the body’, but in the end it seemed to pay off. Yahno not only accepted the gift, but returned the favour with a fruit of its own. Zazz, he called it. Another entry was added to her botanical research, accompanied by a quick sketch. She’d have to find a sample of her own later and test out its sedative power.

They were close to the village now, but something other than small-chat was bothering the elf. “If you do not mind me asking, Yahno, I have another question. Based off of your description, Akurra seems to be a powerful magical being, and yet you said you met them? Was this before or after it became a ‘monster’?” she asked, bringing her hand thoughtfully to her chin. “Based on what little knowledge I have on the subject, I feel it is safe to hypothesize that the fall of your homeland and Akurra’s change are most likely linked. Perhaps a further investigation could turn up a solution to both problems?”

Yahno gave a sigh as Ayda brought up Akurra once more, flying next to the elf on her broom flapping his wings with enough force to stay at her current level and speed. “yahno can show you the past, the past has answers...Not while moving though.” his hushed tone might have indicated he didn’t want to talk on the subject at this moment.

The group proceeded quickly and was met with a majority of the villages population. The children, the men and women, all Stand or fly quietly as the man in the centre walked out to meet them.
Obviously the chief, as his imposing figure and decorative hat Would suggest, the skyrace wear pelts and leather, some more adventurous of them have some human clothes with space for the wings to be free.

“hail travellers” chief Tafu boomed banging his fist on his chest in the same greeting his son gave. “As the first aerthlanders to reach Chlokoka we honour your bravery and celebrate your success. Join us aerthlanders, for a feast that only our home can provide. Let us share stories and forge a strong bond”

the skyrace cheer once the chief is done speaking. The skyrace seem to live in structures made of stone, giving proof to yahnos claim of the skyrace controlling the very ground. Others had large but simple teepee’s made from animal pelts and branches.
The houses were all a decent length apart. Closer to the Forrest is a wall of pikes large snake like skulls hang on a number of these pikes.

Farr almost fell Inlove with the angelic sight of these women. It was enough to ignore the dreaded feeling of being watched,
Weglas almost shit himself at the sight of the chief. His spear while primitive had fangs on it the size of the tree elf’s hands.

The skyrace seem to be friendly, but cautious. None approached the group apart from the chief and a few rascally children who flew about to be in awe of Azal and Udgirr.

It was a variety happening below the ground, as the hobgoblin persists on travelling by branch leaping. It becomes a spectacle of a conversation between wood elf, elf, the feathered beastkin, the human giant, Farr; some had a say for something, as the tribe person explains of their circumstance, and of the giant snake they stopped moving to explain for. It might not have been best to be up any longer, for he can now see the tribe. They won't associate him with being a member of the group if he stayed far any longer, and it was because of his mode of travel that did not allow him to learn of what Yahno was explaining at all, so he descends slowly near the back of the group once he was on the last tree he could step a formidable branch on.

It looked all so familiar; the culture, the clothes, but not the architecture. If no one knew any better, and Udgirr would describe his tribe, they'd mistake it for the view they would see right now. Winged beings gather around them, then the chief arrives, formally welcoming the group to a feast. Some of the winged children approached nearer, and Ugdirr was unsure if it would be unkind to scowl at them, for he did not want the attention. He was not the best with children.
