The Fluffiest Floof
Floof, truly the fluffiest
Argon gave his son a look of indifference before turning back to Saphira. He nearly laughed at her outburst at what he had said previously.
"Heavens no, I would never give Kuro and the baby princess the throne. If there is a wedding, itd be nothing more than us calming the citizens of Origo. They'd just think we are unified. It'll give me more ways to take the kingdom. My ghost would never pass on if it knew my kingdom was in the hands of the boy." Argon laughed a little bit, and he stared at his general with a look that no one hadn't seen in a while. Argon had been planning to wed the woman of steel for a while now. It would no doubt give him a strong heir, and she was the only person he would ever consider worthy of being his queen. Even if the child they had was a girl they'd be better for the kingdom. Argon didn't actually hate Kuro, but the boy made Argon uncomfortable. He had too many of his mother's traits that Argon could see every day. If Saphira accepted his proposal and they had a strong child, Kuro needed to renounce his claim to the throne for his younger half-sibling. Argon didn't want to kill the boy, but he would get rid of the boy if he acted stubbornly. He'd make sure the boy had enough money to have a comfortable life, but he just needed him out of his sight.
For now, Argon had to live in the present and decide a good time to tell Saphira of his plans.
"We should send a bird with a message to Origo and saddle up for the journey to the castle then. I suppose it'll be dangerous with only us three going in the heart of our enemies, but If i do die, my death will rile my soldiers. Origo will eventually fall, and I'm fine with that thought even if I don't live to see it."

"Right this way Princess." Iris politely said, bowing slightly as she turned and began walking back towards the council room. After a couple of steps, Sir Reinhold piped up with a little question. Owing for the fact that she had her back turned towards him, she missed his daring glare towards Sir Jackson. A move that she would probably deride him for. If she saw him. After a literal second of thinking, she came up with the perfect solution to a couple of problems.
"That won't be necessary, Reinhold. I have another task for you and Jackson. The trebuchets on the Eastern wall need to be relocated in preparation for the upcoming meeting with the Black King. I want them disassembled and re-erected on the western wall. Oh and deploy a couple at the city square. I'll let you bring along 10 men. That should be enough help for you two." General Iris then turned to face her two knights with a nice, warm smile.
"Oh and one last thing. Get it done an hour before sundown. I know 6 trebuchets may be too much for 12 men but I expect the best from you two.... Or else. ..... That said, I wish you two luck." And with that last, rather ominous warning, Iris continued on leading Princess Rowan towards the Council Room. As they walked, Iris decided to keep her mind off distractions by asking the Princess a rather selfish question. Just a little something to maybe show that she's still human.
"Princess... If you don't mind me asking, do you think I'm a little.... Harsh on the Knights?"

Saphira nodded at the kings thoughts, but she then shook her head at his last sentence. "If they would try to kill you, my king, they would have to go through me. They would all die before they could even attempt a strike." Saphira shook her head again, strongly. "No, my king, they wouldn't dare."
The general did not wait to get a bird from the cage, writing a message. She then rolled it up and put it onto the birds leg, letting the pigeon fly. It was a completely black bird, rare and a only the king and Saphira were using them. Then, the general turned towards the king and nodded towards him. "Your majesty. You and... the boy... should then follow me." With that, she bowed and exited the tent, expecting the others to follow, leading them to the place, where they would enter the city over a ladder.
The pigeon flew to the castle, where a Knight found it, reading the message. His face got pale and he immediately ran, searching for the general. The small piece of paper was written on with black ink. The letters were little artworks and it looked like a masterpiece. But what the letters formed was far from as beautiful.
"His Highness, King Argon, as well as his son and myself are on our way. Expect us at the left wall in exactly 3 hours. Any minute that we have to wait from then on will be seen as personal insult against the king and his land.
Signed, Saphira Blackhand"
The Knight quickly handed the piece of paper to the general. She had to read it as soon as possible.
