Realistic or Modern We are the Sentinels

While walking the halls, slightly aimlessly, he felt a tap on his shoulder. Turning around he saw Sky and smiled widely. He then noticed the look she had and his smile shrank. "What's up?" he asked putting a hand on her shoulder.


"Just a friend huh? If you say so." Tay said with a smirk. She had no idea if they were anything more than friends or not but she liked to tease him. "Well I was asking about the band because I'm trying to start one, but all I can do is sing and play the uke. Think you'd be interested?" she silently hoped he would agree. @Skylark
 
Alaiya looked at her phone. No response. He doesn't want her to know where he is. Because she's a gross, ugly little girl who no one will ever like. The sophomore pocketed her phone, picked up her bag, and started walking back to class. The last thing she wanted was to talk to anyone. Her silence didn't last. She looked up to see Cara, the person that Kyle had explicitly warned her about, walking towards her. Well shit. Alaiya thought, looking at the ground. @Skylark
 
Sky looked at him wanting to cry she knew what she did wasn't good and what was going to possibly happen was worse "ok so please don't hurt me but something happened" she started off with. "Logan kissed me" "and then I told him to go away but he wouldn't and then he said if I didn't do what he wanted he would ruin my life but we didn't do anything but I asked him what I had to do and now he's thinking and I'm falling apart" her eyes started to water. She messed up she should have never talked to Logan.


Kyle smiled at the request for him to join a band. "Sure that would be cool could my sister possibly join she also plays a lot of instruments" he started to play another song. He smiled as he looked at Tay. @PenguinFox


Cara saw the little girl and laughed "aww what's a little baby like you doing all alone" she said as she approached the younger and small girl. Cara looked angry and if you made one wrong move she would hurt you actually I take that back she would hurt anyways. @Quiet Is Violent
 
Alaiya sighed. "I'm just... going to class, is all." Alaiya muttered, keeping her eyes fixed on her feet. Don't fight back. Don't engage. Just take what she gives you and don't make a scene. Alaiya reminds herself. She stopped walking a few feet away from Cara and almost surrendered herself to Cara's anger. @Skylark
 
David listened to Sky as she spoke. "Why would I hurt you?" he said as he brought her into a hug. "I'm not mad at you. Logan's a scumbag. Don't worry he's not going to do anything, he's all talk." he patted her back gently as he spoke to her. She was so upset and all he wanted to do was make her feel better.


Tay clapped excitedly. "Yay!" her smiled was wide and bright. "Of course she can! As of now it's only me and David, and well I guess you too, so we need more people. Are you going to the party tomorrow?" she asked sort of changing topics. Tay was the kind of girl who's brain moved about as fast as her mouth. Her thoughts changed as fast as she could say she changed her mind, so she often jumped from topic to topic when talking. @Skylark
 
Sky was comforted a bit by David's hug "how do you know that..." She asked as she hugged him tighter not wanting him to let go. She was afraid about what might happen to her


Kyle smiled "yeah I'm going." "How about you" he asked with a charming smile. His smile was not like Logan's at all it was soft and not a smile that he tried to win over girls with it was just his normal smile. @PenguinFox


Cara lifted the girls arm "you seem pretty weak" she then pushed the girl not extremely hard but still pretty hard @Quiet Is Violent
 
"I know because he's been dating my sister for the past few months. I've also had a couple of run-ins with him myself. Believe it or not he used to be worse before he started dating Tay." he gave a light laugh and pulled away. "You're going to be okay." David said with a smile as he looked into her eyes. Very gently he reached out and wiped a tear away with his thumb.


"Totally. Wouldn't miss it." Tay said with a grin. "I'm so excited for it, it's going to be a night no one will forget." she smiled a little mischievously but it quickly turned back to her normal smile. @Skylark
 
Sky's eyes widened and her sadness seemed to vanished "he's dating Tay!?" "That's not good..." "He's not a good person" she finished fear started to rise and you could tell by just looking at her


"So I heard you and Logan are together" "is it true?" He asked curiously. He kept playing an her smiled.


All of a sudden Sky texted him. 'Kyle please help Logan's threatening me" she sent it when she was walking looking for David but the whole message didn't send until just then @PenguinFox
 
David nodded. "Yeah we know. I knew for a while, she figured it out after the second time he cheated on her." he shrugged. "What can you do though. I made the suggestion to her that they break up, but I can't force to do anything." he smiled softly. "Though I think she's found someone else because she seemed really happy this morning."


Tay shrugged. "Maybe. Why? What's it to you?" she tilted her head trying to understand where he was coming from. A grin burst on to her face. "What are you wondering if I'm single?" she laughed "I'm just teasing." @Skylark
 
Sky sighed "ok" she "Who?" "Sorry I'm asking to many questions" she said as she looked at the ground


"Sorry my sister just texted me" he said as he read it his eyes shot open "Oh My God" he said fearfully. As the text scared him. "This is not good" he stopped playing and put the guitar down he put his head in his hands. @PenguinFox
 
David shrugged. "I don't know, she wouldn't say. She said that was how she normally is but I could tell there was something different." he lifted her chin with his finger. "Is there something else bothering you?" he asked looking into her eyes.


"What? What is it?" Tay asked scooting closer. Kyle was a nice guy and seeing him in distress was not something Tay wanted to do so she wanted to help. @Skylark
 
Sky looked at him "I'm just afraid" she said "I don't think he will let this go" the girl still was afraid she didn't know what she wanted.


"Sky texted me" "it's about Logan" he said as he read it again over and over and over. He still looked distressed and worried and like he was going to explode. @PenguinFox


Cara kicked her again and again even harder. Cara was getting her anger out at this girl and man did she have a lot of it. @Quiet Is Violent
 
Alaiya cried in pain at the first kick, but stopped after kick three or four. She looked at the leg coming at her stomach and rolled, a strange spike of determination coming to the small girl. She got to her feet, her hands balled into fists. "Stop it." Alaiya whispers hoarsely, her eyes filled with tears. @Skylark
 
David thought for a moment. "He probably won't, but he won't do anything about it. If he even tries anything I'll be there ok?" he smiled reassuringly and kissed her forehead.


"Now what did that big dumb brute do?" Tay sighed. The statement was half directed at Kyle and half directed out to the world. "Should I go handle something?" @Skylark
 
Sky smiled slightly she then hugged him she just wanted to be held and protected she hated being threatened and she didn't want her reputation to be ruined


"I don't know." "She said he's threatening her and I'm guessing how" Kyle still felt like he was going to explode. @PenguinFox


Cara laughed "you think you could fight me like I said you're a weakling I mean look at you" she replied laughing. @Quiet Is Violent
 
"I'm not weak!" Alaiya hisses. "I'm not weak, and I could kick your ass if I wanted." Somehow she's managed to get angry. She hasn't been angry for years. And now, she is. Something about today, maybe it was the rejection she was facing from Kyle, made it possible to get angry. And she wanted to fight Cara. @Skylark
 


America was wrapped around Lauren's arm as she listened to the two go back and forth. Who was this Brett they were speaking of? Everything was all a mess, and Delano really didn't know what to do. "Well, I suppose that's what he gets for leaving. Oh, but tell me you didn't ruin the boy's face? No matter how ignorant he was, the guy isn't too bad on the eyes." Lauren said with a mischievous smirk. There it was; like a blow to the heart. Lauren Hollingsworth was the epitome of unreachable when it came to America. However, the girl's hurt thoughts were shifted when Abraham started speaking up for her. Her hazel eyes shot a look at him reading a fearful, "What are you doing?" Whether or not he was trying to protect the black haired girl or simply use the whole situation as some kind of gain, Delano had no clue, but the aftermath of his words were even harder to predict. "Abuse? Babe, I think you got it all wrong. I saved her yesterday morning. Hell, I've taken care of her when times are rough. If anything, I'm America's savior." the brunette replied with a sharp tongue and a tighter grip on Delano's arm. "Besides, you're the one to talk. What happens when your little buddies turn on you? What happens when your druggie contacts are nowhere to be found? Darling, how about you think before you speak, yeah? I have dirt on everyone here, so I highly doubt you should be making open threats like that." Lauren's eyes were narrow as she talked. It was truly the first time that Delano had ever seen the girl truly aggravated in the two months she's spent with the group. What was she doing? Waging war? This whole thing seemed like a battleground and all Delano could do was look back and forth between the two teens once more. Shots were fired.

Abraham raised his chin as the brunette went on and on, hiding a scoff at the remark about Brett's face.

But when she started making subtly threatening him the eighteen lost his vague tone and his voice became serious, matched by his eyes.

"If you didn't so desperately come and hang with us older guys the last years here you'd only be the local slut. Don't forget that, because you may have some dirt on us, but you're the actual garbage pail around here."

His smile took on a fairly sweet edge, faked in an almost perfect way.

"And don't forget I'm friends with most of your ex's, I get all the details." The teen turned lightly to the girl in Lauren's grip, raising a sarcastic eyebrow at America.

"Does Lauren here tell you about what she does? I heard this one story involving a balcony, that was a good one."

The Italian felt proud of himself for not having let his rage have the best of him, but he still wasn't sure about the reasons that had pushed him to do so.

His blue eyes only stole a glance at Delano's form and a suspect entered his mind.

He hadn't developed a ceush in so, so long.
