Fantasy Werewolf-Vampire-Hybrid-Coven-witches/warlocks

Sneaux

Fairy Rings and Dandelion Seeds ❀
A small town is where our story takes place, a rocky beach on one side and a thick forest on the other. Vampires and Werewolves are slowly learning to co-exist and they’ve begun to accept hybrids. Werewolves find home in the forest, living in villages with many of the same species, while vampires call modern day apartments and gothic mansions their homes. Most hybrids are on the run, not quite sure where they belong and still searching for other hybrids. The outskirts of the town are reserved for the rich families, those that have been around for centuries and those with less money live in town. A coven of mages/witches are hoping to bring the species of werewolves/vampires/hybrids to their final demise. (Species Allowed: Vampire, Werewolf, Human, Hybrid, Mage/Witch)

Emma scowled and hugged her stolen 'lifeguard' sweater tighter around herself. She quickly cast a glance over her shoulder and relaxed a slight bit. Her brown hair was tosseled a bit. She sniffled and ducked into the nearest cafe as the clouds finally let down their heavy burden. Big fat raindrops started to pain the sidewalk a few shades darker and the smell of city rain floated up from the gutters. She let out a small breath and slowly walked to an empty table in the near back. She massaged her temples and kept a weary eye on the door. A waiter came over to her and flashed her a gental smile, "Can I get you anything miss?" He asked. He had a nice voice she quickly noted. "Um... just an ice tea?" She asked quietly. Her voice was small but slightly rich at the same time. Her skin was pale, but not so pale that she looked sickly. Her eyes were an odd bright color of blue which sharply contrasted with her hair color. The waiter looked at her for a few seconds to long and at last realized she had said what she wanted. "Yes, right away ma'am." He smiled and gave her a little silly salute. This earned a slightly amused laugh from her as he strode away to make her order, a slight spring added to his step. Mean while.. her attention never strayed far from the door. She'd run away. Again. This time, it wasn’t only her parents that was driving her crazy, but the man her parents had picked for her to marry-- and she had only just turned 18! Ugh. She groaned quietly to herself and shifted to rest her arms on the table, then her head on her arms. Emma lived a slightly high life in a huge house with her politician father, lawyer mother, and awesome brother- Sam. He was literally the light in her life right now. Emma is normally the type of girl who listens and does what she’s told, but as of late, what she was being told to do was rather outlandish and it was time for goody-good to not be so good. Sure, she’d run away before, several times infact, but these latest attempts had become more frequent. Her personality was being pushed to change.

Noah stood inside the library facing the doors with a can of special beige paint. Slightly lighter than the beige on the walls of the interior of the library. Standing up on a chair, Noah painted a rune in the shape of an eye above the door. Satisfied, Noah jumps down from the chair and organizes things back to where they were. The rune was hardly visible. You would have to be looking for it in order to see it. The rune above the door would trigger should a werewolf in human form enter the library. If the rune triggers, nothing spectacular happens. It would send a signal to its sister rune under the main desk where Noah typically sits. Thus, letting him know if a werewolf happens to enter the library. However it was break time for Noah and he temporarily disables the rune before walking out of the library. He pulls out his umbrella as it had begun raining and saw a nearby cafe. Stepping in, Noah notices a girl who seemed stressed, but otherwise the are was relatively empty. Noah sat down as a waiter took his order.

"Oh hello. Do you have any mangoes by any chance?" Noah asked hopefully. "No? Thought not. I'll have some coffee then." Noah said. As the waiter went off to get the beverage, Noah pulled out his book on runes. It was enchanted so that to regular humans, it just looked like an old textbook.

She groaned and rubbed her temple. A disastrous headache was setting in full force. She was not good at the whole stress thing. She swallowed and hurriedly thanked the waiter when he set her drink down. She looked ravished as she hurriedly drank. A man entered, and it startled her, but she slowly moved to ignore him when he just pulled out an old musty looking text book after ordering coffee. Though, his inquiry about Mangos did slightly amuse her.

Sam stepped out of the steele blue Jeep he had gotten as a birthday present several years ago. He knew she would be here. It was a small town without much else to do besides go to the library, drink or get coffee. And if he found her in the bar, he would not be pleased. He looked to his quiet friend, Ermac, and jerked his head in gesture to the building. The man simply nodded and they both approached the cafe. They entered and Sam easily spotted Emma and flopped down in the chair across from her. He clucked his tongue as he looked at her, a smirk on his face. "One of these days I'm going to actually bring you home and you will hate me for life," He threatened lightly, his eyes narrowed at his sister. "If you don't want to marry the guy, put your damn foot down and stand up for yourself," He scoffed, ordering a coffee as the waiter came around.

*Ermac stood quietly, eyes narrowed, as he studied a man with an odd looking book. He excused himself to Sam and moved over to the fellow. He patted the man's shoulder. "Sir, where did you get that book," He asked in a quiet, but firm voice. He meant the man no harm but was curious enough to ask.

Noah thanked the waiter as he came back with his coffee. The mage continued to read his book and sip at the flavorful beverage. Noah noticed two men enter the bar. Friends it appeared. On of them began talking to the girl who was here before Noah. Noah didn't think it was any of his business and began to read his book again. Suddenly, Noah felt someone put their hand on his shoulder.

"Oh? This?" Noah said while looking up. "My parents got it for me." Noah said innocently. Humans would see a regular old book, but other magical beings could see through the veil. Noah began pondering if the man could tell it was not a regular book.

"Sammmm." She groaned and laid her her head down on the table. "You know I cant get out of it... I have tried.. I've begged. I've pleaded."she sighed. "And... thank you. Some day ill make you yummy fried chicken just for being a totally awesome big brother."

"Running away isn't going to solve your issue," He exclaimed in exasperation as the waiter brought around his coffee, for which he thanked him. He turned to look at her. "Listen this whole... marriage thing sucks. I'm not saying go through with it or anything, but if you think Alex is bad, you're lucky that Vincent isn't the one that was chosen. He's a blossoming ball of fucking sunshine," He said sarcastically, lowly whistling.

*Ermac smiled knowingly, his pale eyes narrowing more. "Don't mistake me for someone of such ignorance," He warned the man and his eyes went back to the book. "Where did you get it, really," He asked again with more conviction in his tone than before. He knew what the book was but he had never seen one in his life, nor had the pleasure of reading it. Books on Runes were hard to come by and he wanted to know the location that it came from.

"I think ill just run away. Build a cabin in the woods." She giggled slightly.

She took another sip of her drink and sighed. "Maybe I'll... maybe I'll go..." she trailed off and absent-mindedly chewed on her bottom lip. Her eyes flickered past Sam, and to his friend. Her eyes lingered on him a bit longer than necessary. She'd always been fascinated by him... he was different.

Noah's smug look of innocence soon disappeared as the man took up a more serious tone. So he must be supernatural. The man must be mage as well since he is taking an interest in Noah's book. "Forgive me for my mistake." Noah said before taking a sip of coffee. "But really, this book, and others, were owned by my parents. They are now in my possession." Noah stated. "My name is Noah." Said the mage before standing up and extending his hand.

Sam scoffed. "It's not like mom and dad have crazy FBI body guard guys who can track down a flea that shit in the wrong place," He said sarcastically, shaking his head as he sipped at his coffee. "For someone so smart you can come up with the least rational plans I've ever heard of," He grumbled into the drink.

*Ermac took the man's hand in a tight grip, giving him a curt nod. "I'm known as Ermac," He said and his eyes moved back to the book. "Do you know of the original location, He asked, hopeful, as he looked back up at the man. "I'm sorry to push I have just.. never seen books of that nature."

*Vincent shook his head as he crossed the boardwalk and entered the cafe parking lot. He spotted the Jeep that Sam treated like it was a child, his nose giving a sniff to make absolutely sure. He moved slowly across the parking lot, eyes narrowed and body tensed in pursuit. He was a predator by nature and it showed even while he was in human form. He was wearing a dark trench coat, dark slacks and dress shoes. He had dressed to impress today as he was meeting the family his brother was betrothed to, and it seemed odd to have not met them yet.

She huffed and lightly glared. " I don't know what else to do!" She exclaimed. "Don't you have some friends i can stay with or something?"

Noah shook his hand before sitting down to finish his coffee. "It's alright." Noah stated. "I'm sorry as well since I don't know how my parents came into possession of it." Noah said admiring the book and feeling it with his hand. It brought back memories of lessons with his parents. "So," Noah continued, shaking away the thoughts, "Your a mage too?" Noah took a moment to glance over at the girl and he exclaimed something out in frustration to Ermac's friend.

Sam shrugged. "I have friends you could stay with but I'm not sure you would want to be there more than three minutes," He replied and shook his head, his eyes turning momentarily to look at the man Ermac was engaged in conversation with before turning back to his sister.

*Ermac crossed his arms over his chest. "I am indeed," He said and slid into the booth across from this man, Noah. His lips pursed in thought and he sighed deeply.

*Vincent entered the cafe and his eyes narrowed as he spotted the girl and her brother. "You two, let's go. Now," He ordered, pointing an accusatory finger at them both, his eyes narrowed and his jaw ticking.

Noah raised his eyebrows slightly in intrigue. He wondered if Ermac was a powerful mage, and if there was any special kind of magic he uses. Another man walked into the cafe and pointed at Ermacs friends. The new person seemed tense and .... Different. He seemed to be demanding something. "Are those your friends over there?" Noah asked gesturing his head towards the girl and two men.

She squeaked and was already standing up to run. She swallowed and blushed. Nottt himmm! She hissed in her mind.

Ermac turned his head slightly. "The new male is not," He said, his eyes narrowing. "He's a wolf," He told the new mage as he turned his entire body to face the situation. He approached carefully, eyes narrowed.

Sam rolled his eyes and got up. "I don't have to go anywhere with you, wolfey," He snickered, trying to get an edge out of the other man. It was common for Sam to instigate situations like these, especially when it came to a creature of another species.

Vincent scoffed and with a smug grin grabbed hold of the front of the man's shirt, staring down at him with narrowed eyes. "Might want to watch your tongue boy. I'm much more equipped to handle myself than you," He threatened before letting him go, a bit harshly as Sam went tumbling to the floor.

Noah raised his eyebrows in surprise as Ermac's stated the man who stepped in wasn't a friend. When Ermac stated that the male was a wolf he began to stand slowly. A werewolf!? I hate werewolves. Noah thought to himself. By the looks of it, a fight was about to break out too. Noah began to trace a rune on his hand. It was one for binding. If anything got messy, all he had to do was place the rune on the werewolves body and the rune would create magical chains to restrain his target. For now, Noah would watch the confrontation from his table.

Emma's eyes widdened as she jumped from over to her brother. She checked him over quickly before shifting her gaze up to glare at Vincent. "You didnt have to do that!" She snapped at him and started to try and help Sam up.

Malkavian stood at the counter, as he dealt with a few goth customers passing through looking at his wares. While he did not keep legit material up front he did have some out back for those special customers. Once they were dealt with he went to the door looking out the mainly glass doorway. The street was kinda busy, but pretty slow at this time of day. He went back to sitting behind the counter relaxing in front of a computer keeping up with the news of the world.

Malkavain after a few minutes of looking at news, stocks and supernatural events in the world he got up. Walking over to the door he looked out again. Faintly he could here the sounds of raised voices in the distance. Searching he came upon the appearance of a male arguing with another inside the cafe across the street. While normally he would not intervene with such a event leaving it to the stores own security, and staff this time was different. He could faintly see another male within the cafe placing a rune onto his hand. If he had not known what to look for he would not have noticed such a movement. He sighed flipping the close sign in front of his door then quickly grabbing his black leather jacket putting it on.

Stepping outside he locked the door before proceeding to walk over to the cafe calmly. Avoiding any cars in the road he quickly came upon the cafe entrance. Stepping inside he placed a old fashioned had on a nearby coat hanger, and looked upon the scene before him. His red eyes scanned the people there, and he spoke in a calm but strong tone' Is there a problem here? " he asked to them.

Emma glanced over. Great...another person to jump in the fray. When she ran out, this is not what she was expecting. Her eyes flickered from face to face. " Sammy.." she mumbled and slightly grabbed onto his arm. " I..I'm gunna... go ahead and... leave...." she told him in a very quiet voice.

"Honey, this is all on you," Vincent smiled. He then turned to face the new person and he quirked an eyebrow. "Not at all. I was hired to bring these two home is all," It was a small lie, he had not been hired but he had been told. "And there won't be a problem as soon as they get up and leave.

Ermac's jaw tensed as he moved to help his friend up off the floor. "Go," He told Emma harshly as he lifted the Hybrid from the ground and urged him forward.

Sam growled and spit at Vincent as they passed by him but Vincent just chuckled and turned to follow their lead.

Malkavain Raised an eyebrow at the werewolves words. He did not understand why he tried to lie to him Malkavians race should have bin easily discernible. When they left he gave a slight grin" Well loioks like this day just got better. " He said in his mind. A few moments after leaving Malkavian grabbed a cup of coffee taking it to go. Soon after he began to trail the group just keeping an eye out for any...Troublesome folk.

Emma crossed her arms and immideatly turned directions. "Art store." She sighed and beelined for her favorite supply store. She was very much into art, and had a whole room in their house dedicated to her work. Mostly half a wall was sagging from her paintings and drawings. She'd wanted to get into sculpting as well, but didn't much know how. So, she decided to keep painting. Now however, she was just going there for another get-away... and she needed more royal blue paint.

Noah watched from afar as another man enter the cafe. He asked if there was any trouble but the group shrugged it off and left. The man picked up some coffee and left, presumably to follow them. Noah sighed as he dispersed the rune on his hand. Noah picked up his book and headed back over to the library. It was certainly interesting meeting another mage. Noah walked into the library, activating his security runes and sat at the main desk doing paper work.
