Which will you be?



In a world where shifters dominate, each person carries one inner animal and it's up to them either adapt and grow into their animal or move on and leave their animal behind and join the mortals.

Dawn starts running through the forest hearing her paws hit the fresh dirt as she scans the area for other shifters. Dawn usually isn't one of the first ones to put herself out there, but seeing as she heard a sound from the dead silent forest and she's by herself, she doesn't have any other choice, but to check it out herself. Dawn slows down going behind a tree shifts back into her human form changing into a pair of clothes she always had tied to her leg. She climbs up the tree to scan the area more easily and keeps herself hidden behind some thick branches.
 
Winter stalked through the forest in her snow leopard form. She suddenly heard a crack in the tree above her. She jerked her head head up and glared at the shadow in the tree. She flared her great, feathery wings and lifted into the air.


" I see you." she growled. " Don't hide!"


" You're a shifter too." Winter purred. " I won't hurt you. I'm a friend."

Dawn comes out of the branches cautiously and snorts amused but at the same time she isn't trying to be rude, "But yet you growled at me and hi there." Dawn shakes her head, "Sometimes a simple greeting works just as fine." She runs and jumps off the branch landing on her feet.
 
Dawn stops turning back around, "Yes?" As she waits for the other shifter to come along, Dawn puts on her black hoodie knowing it's dangerous to be in the forest right now especially during hunting season.
 
" Erm. I'm sorta being hunted by this other shifter. I sort've stole his food for the winter...." Winter grinned sheepishly. " So I would be great if I had some other protection."
 
Dawn shakes her head, "Oi, now that really wasn't a good idea..." She sighs, "Who is the shifter you school the food from?" Dawn starts walking and signals with her head for the shifter to follow her, "By the way what's your name? If I'm going to be helping you, I should at least know your name." Dawn keeps walking until she reaches the tree where her bag is hidden. She picks up the bag taking her other black hoodie out and hands it to her, "Here, wear this. It's not safe out."
 
" The shifter was named Leon. He was a huge lion. Oh, my name is Winter. Nice to meet you. And thanks for the hoodie. Leon never forgets a face." Winter turned into her human form, and pulled the hoodie on.


"Oh, comfy." she grinned.
 
Dawn puts the bag on her back and looks back at Winter, "I'm Dawn and let me get this correct.. You decided you needed food, so you decided to steel, but chose to steal it from someone bigger than you.. I'm not trying to be rude or judgmental, but why didn't you steal it from someone who couldn't kill you?" Dawn starts walking toward her home and looks at Winter curiously.
 
"He is sorta my brother. But he hates me. I thought me wouldn't notice. But my little sister tattled." Winter follows and asks, " So where are we going?"
 
Dawn walks onto a hidden trail, "We are going to my house." As she walks onto the trail they finally make it to a small house that is hidden in between the forest, "This is my home, trash anything and you're cleaning it up." She unlocks the door going into it.
 
Phenex was flying through the sky with his ginormous wingspan and was flying over the forest to find food he really didn't need to eat that much since he was a Pheonix and kept looking around and spotted two animals and followed them high in the air not knowing their shifters to.
 
Robert walked through the thick forest, in his human form. He often liked being in his human form even when he was in the forest. Suddenly he spotted movement through the brush in front of him.
 
Dawn hisses, "You check out the one above and I'll get the other one." Dawns turns already shifted and running hidden in the shadows.
 
Robert stopped as he moved close to the figures, they were both animals with white fur and he was still in his human form, were they shifters? or just normal animals?
 
Phenex was circling all three shifters when he saw one of them on a tree and didn't know she was a shifter and swooped down with his ginormous body and tried to pick her up with his talons but missed scorching the tree and goes back up circling thinking "damn the animals in this area are smart"
 
Winter screeched as the huge bird swooped down and tried to grab her. " DAWN!"


Flames grew on the tree and she leaped off the tree, slamming into the ground and rolling. She gasped in pain, and realized that her shoulder was wrenched. She limped underneath a large rock overhang and laid down.


" Dawn...." she said, trying to call out to her newly found friend.


 
Ugh. I wonder how she's faring. Thought Winter, wincing.
 
Dawn growls at the bird, "Damn this bird!" She runs in front of Winter in a protectful stance, "The moment you see a chance to, run into the house!"
 
Robert stumbled and covered his eyes as the tree above him exploded with flames. He quicly burst into his wolf form letting our a loud roar/howl. He was probably alot safer in his wolf form then in his human form. Before he could do anything a large white leopard slammed into the ground right in from of him.
 
Dawn bares her feline fangs at both the bird and the wolf as the hair on the back of her neck rises and her claws sink into the ground, "Back off. Both of you!"
 
"Meh, okie. I'll try." Winter dragged quickly limped across the clearing to the house. She turned into her human form and opened the door. She flopped down on a chair and sighed. " Ow."
 
Phenex was in the air and spots all the animals in one place and dive bombs at them screeching barely missing them as his massive body goes over them heating up the ground and cutting down all the trees he ran into.
