Moving to another spot near the lab field, Glacier brought out the ball with his now-merged buddy and released it. As it floated into the air in front of him, Glacier tilted his head. "I shall call you... Snowbolt; would you like that name?" The buddy gave a twirl in the air, before nodding happily.

A smile formed on Glacier's icy muzzle. "Then it is a pleasure to meet you, Snowbolt... how about we train some?... It would be good practice." Receiving another nod, Glacier & Snowbolt walked back to the professor.

"Hello again, Professor... I wish to train my buddy."

Just as Eeriel going to leave the place, something really interesting happened. A very large move was moving, its a giant monster!

"Now that's a buddy that I want!" She exclaimed. She then summoned the water buddy she got before and hopped on its shell.

"See that? Go attack it, Toortle!" She pointed at the giant. The turtle buddy looked at her as if questioning her decision?

"What? Your name is Toortle now, deal with it. Now let's go!"

Like a jet ski, the turtle used a wave of water that it conjures to propel itself forward, bringing Eeriel with it. Once close enough the turtle wiuld launch an attack towards the giant rock!

The professor looked over the the turtle creature who'd endured quite a fair amount of training. He tutted and picked the creature up, removing the training helmet. He looked over to Annellanus and hummed. "I think this one is capped out. Why don't you go and catch a few more to see what you can find. There are several other zones to investigate.

(Wind Buddy has reached its limit. Go find some other buddy to torture.)

Rhinox naturally began crying the moment Izuru started commanding it to essentially risk its life against the large rock formation that was bounding towards them. "Aight ya little bitch. Imma give it to you straight. Either you tank that damage and save us... or we die. Game Over, no quicksaves and no restart" said Izuru, poking Rhinox in the back of its head. Rhinox looked at the big stone creature before looking back at its tamer before crying even louder. Assuming they'd come to some sort of agreement, Izuru had the thing attack the bigger thing.

As the two ended the training session, it seemed like Snowbolt was better at enduring damage as well; quite an improvement in such a short time!

"Wonderful job, Snowbolt... come, let us go back to the ice zone." Glacier beckoned with gesture of his head, before beginning to walk there; meanwhile, Snowbolt floated beside him, travelling along through the air.

After a return to the Professor's lab, Squink gleefully stocked up on more balls and another piece of bait. She had been taking a much more casual approach to the whole buddy-catching business and wasn't in as much of a rush to get anywhere now that she had her cool new Shadow friend. Sure there were many others like it, but this one was hers. Deliberating over a name for her edgy new bird friend, she began walking along on her way also curious on whether she should return back to the Mesa or go ahead and try somewhere else with her luck. She let the Shadow bird out of its ball as she let it perch upon her arm thinking about it.

"Your feathers match my dress, you're so pretty! Hm... maybe I should call you something that really brings out the life in you. Like, Sparkle. You really look like a Sparkle, even with your darkness. Oh, I can't not now that I've said it and thought about it like that, I'm gonna name you Sparkle, Sparkle~!" Squink grinned as she gently petted the buddy with her finger, humming as she wondered where to go. Her original next stop was supposed to be either the fields or the beach depending on what kind of mood she was in having planned that the beach would be rather relaxing, although perhaps with the time she had returning to the Mesa in order to try and get something else could prove something to do. Eventually she came to her own decision.

"Lets head to the beach next, Sparkle! I'm sure there could be some cute aquatic buddies or something there, what adorable little friend wouldn't enjoy a bright, sunny day at the seaside? I'm sure you'll love it too, come!" she grinned as she set off on her own trip with her first caught friend, Sparkle the bird of shadows. With an armada of ten more balls to capture new friends with, she hoped that her throws would prove a lot more lucrative this time around.

Kuro had stumbled upon a different Buddy this one far cuter and star shaped than the others. It had a shiny glow to it that made her want to get closer like a moth to a flame. Now was the perfect time to try and capture the star shaped Buddy.

She threw the Buddy Ball and hoped that it would work this time.

"Oh look, we're here Sparkle! It's just as pretty as I was hoping it to be! You know, I think trying to catch you in that Mesa zone and encountering all those little rock guys brought down my mood a lot, it's not that fun to not succeed although I guess we can't all be winners. I'm sure everyone else who's doing this catching thing probably has like a billion by now and done all the stuffs, but at least we're having fun doing science and exploring" Squink spoke to Sparkle the shadowbird as she looked around the Beach zone, taking a short stroll wondering what could be found around here. Taking such a trip from a dry and arid location to one so wet and lively was a nice change of pace. Thinking about it a little, she quite liked the beach even though she found it a little repetitive when people kept assuming she was some sort of octopus or aquatic person, wondering if she would run into any tentacled little friends while she was here.

"Oh Sparkle, imagine a cute little squid friend or something! Lets hope we can find something very special to try to catch and bring back, maybe this time we can find a really rare one. Maybe with you by my side this time I'll be a lot luckier, it took me a lot of balls to catch you, but you were very much worth it!" Squink said as she looked around, trying to look for any buddies that were in the vicinity. She was still pretty fresh to finding any, so finding anything that wasn't the same as what was common in the Mesa was new to her, although finding something uniquely rare that might surprise the other people on this little experimental adventure would be great.

    Finally! Griffin and Nickelas had finally caught a new friend. Both were excited. This meant Griffin had 2 adventure buddies! However, that excitement was cut short as another buddy came out of nowhere. It was huge and seemed a little agressive. While it would be cool to have one of those as a companion, Griffin figure Nickelas nor Marbell would be strong enough for it. So he put Nickelas back into his little ball, so they could escape quicker. The rational thinking was that if things like this were an issue, perhaps it was time to train his Earth and metal buddies.

    Action 1:
    go back to the lab for training

The beast looked at his master in confusion wondering what he means.

"That I don't need you."
It welped, confused on its existence. During the training session they were both stalemated in terms of power, however it could agree that the warrior had a lot more passion. The animals willpower couldn't match his own. The warrior truly didn't need the help of his adopted minion. Annellanus could battle this world alone but that's what begun to motivate their bond. Squeeing that it could help him in his battles, it just needed time.
"Are you going to prove me wrong?" He saw the fire in it's eyes.

The quest to get even stronger was unlocked but as any disciplined man knew, rest and recovery was vital. Flying around the armored father in rejoice. It was going to be a tough loving relationship and he'd have it no other way.

The sight of Rhinox headbutting the leg of the massive rock monster made Izuru think slightly better of it. Although he was still curious as to whether or not the little guy or girl could even do any decent damage to this thing. He had no idea as to Rhinox's gender. Honestly he didn't really care given that they were encouraged to breed and fuse these Buddies to their hearts content. Once Rhinox looked to Izuru for approval. He just sent the thing back out to attack the Rock Titan.

Ugh, this blows! That was my third B-Ball to...I should probably move on already. Kuro didn't want to waste all of her Buddy Ball's in one place. And seeing as she'd already gotten one Buddy, it couldn't hurt to just explore the other areas. She also still had some bait left, but using it didn't seem like it'd make her chances of catching one better anyways. It was at least nice meeting Glacier again, and no doubt he was making leaps and bounds with his Buddy already. Didn't that Professor say we could train our Buddy's too? I should get on that as well...She had no reason to return to the lab just yet, but going to a different area wouldn't hurt either.

Kuro walked until she was at the bounds of the Ice Tundra. The Mesa seemed to be the most popular location, but she still didn't like the idea of getting dirty...So she chose a more tropical location: The Beach! There was sand and sea water, if she closed her eyes she could probably pretend she was back at the docks in Azuran city.
When she reached the Beach, she noticed there was someone else there as well, who was also looking for Buddy's it seemed. Is that a...squid lady? Never seen that kind of beastkin before! "Hello! Have any luck yet?" Kuro greeted the squid lady.

But there was nothing to be found.

"This better not keep being a recurring strike of bad luck. The Mesa zone was bad enough, I hope it doesn't take me all day to find anything else than you Sparkle... " Squink sighed softly as she looked around, hearing the presence of something and quickly changing as she hastily readied a ball.
"This time for sur-" Squink immediately readied herself only to once again be surprised by the presence of a person rather than a buddy, although this time having been not as unnerved where she almost pelted them with a ball. Seeing a catgirl with rather fashionable clothes, she gave a little wave having kept Sparkle out the entire time, whom the shadowy bird was currently sitting on her head now that she needed her arms free for using balls.

"Oh, you're a person too. N-not that it's a bad thing, hi. I've been having a lot of bad luck and time with this catching thing, it took me so long to only get one, but I at least managed it. T-this is Sparkle, is what I named them. I'm Squink, I was hoping to atleast get something neat here next, but I haven't found anything yet... " she answered as she gestured to the Shadow buddy she caught in the Mesa zone.
"I'm hoping I can find another cute buddy, perhaps a little squid one or something, but I have no idea what's around here... how many have you found so far? I feel like everyone else would've gotten so many by now. I met someone in the Mesa zone way earlier just as I set off who caught a cute little metal one almost immediately. I got held up by like ten little rocky ones and struggled to find anything for ages after that..." she responded to Kuro as she kept an eye out, hoping to find something around the area still.

As each of the attackers did their part, The titan of rocks seemed to just notice their attacks. It let out a low rumbling noise. As if there was an avalanche happening within the depths of the rocky monster. It raised its arm in preparation to swipe down at the small creatures causing it discomfort.

If none of you can beat the highest number, each of you will lose 1HP. Once everyone has rolled their saves I will post again with the new damage.

Izuru was wondering what kind of minerals he could mine from that big rock titan once it was dead. He had nothing like a pickaxe on him but strapping Rhinox to a stick could yield similar results. Once the big boi began to launch its counterattack to everyone attempting to slap at him with their Buddies. Izuru commanded Rhinox NOT to get squished by the much bigger creature.

Michael observed as Professor Blanchard meticulously merged and bred the Buddies, leading to the creation of "Free," a dragon-looking Buddy with wind, lightning, and metal abilities. The creature's carefree and whimsical personality seemed to shine through even in the brief moments following its emergence from the chamber. Michael couldn't help but feel a surge of pride and excitement at the thought of what they could achieve together.

Michael, standing beside the professor, watched Free with a keen eye, already forming a bond with his new companion.

Just then, the ground began to rumble, and distant noises from the Mesa Zone hinted at trouble. News of a titan Mudruck causing commotion reached them, its massive form lumbering towards the area where others were exploring. This was the moment Michael had been waiting for—a real test of Free's capabilities and a chance to see how well they could work together in combat.

Without hesitation, Michael turned to Professor Blanchard. "It seems we have a chance to test Free's abilities," he said, a determined look in his blue eyes. "We're going to see how he handles real combat. Wish us luck."

With Free at his side, Michael dashed off towards the Mesa Zone, ready to confront the titan Mudruck. His steps were swift, fueled by the urgency of the situation and Free kept up easily, flying at his side in a lazy manner. As they moved, Free's presence was both reassuring and invigorating.

Calliope's eyes went wide as the Mudrock prepared an attack of its own. "Watch out, Gilgamush, mmhhmm! Use a... ummm... like a... defense thing maybe, hhhmmm? C-Can you do that, hhhmmm?" As if in response the earth buddy curled up and emmited spikes to protect itself from the incoming attack. "Woah, mmhhmm... Y-Yeah, keep doing that, mmhhmm!" Calliope smiled and cheered her buddy on in its battle. She smiled reasuringly at the squirrel girl. "We can do this, mmhhmm."

As Squink and Kuro spoke together, the wind drifted in, carrying the waves in. A small furry feathery little white creature floated near Squink, seeming to blow with the wind like a feather. It spiraled around the two of them with a sound that seemed a mixture between a cats purr and a pidgeons cooing.

"I'm sure you can find another, they seem to be everywhere but the most annoying part is to actually catch one. Speaking of which... " Squink spoke softly, her attention was attracted to the sight of an innocently floating around little buddy which looked like a little dragon.
"Oh, that one's so cute! Q-quick, I have to throw the t-thing-" she panicked, realising she wasn't expecting to see it floating around next to her all of a sudden as she fidgeted and had the ball she was holding slip out of her hands. Panicking in case it ended up fleeing, she immediately picked up a spherical object from the floor that she assumed to be the ball that just fell out of her hands not paying much attention to the different feel of it in her hands and throwing it. Realising it was the wrong thing and that throwing a rock at the buddy probably did nothing but anger it, she looked down and noticed the actual ball and quickly grabbed it.

"S-sorry little floaty thing, I didn't mean to do that, I meant this one" she said softly, embarrassed about her mistake as she activated and threw the ball. Hopefully the failure wouldn't have caused her to fail the catch.

Kuro seemed to have a lot better luck finding these Buddy's then catching them. She was bound and determined to try and make this one work, however! This Buddy was a small turtle with a splash of water droplets that floated in a sphere over its shell. It wasn't quite as flashy and cool as the others had been...but beggars can't be choosers. She was grateful to have even spotted one so fast!

She threw the Buddy Ball at it.
