Hey, so this is a first draft. I like using material of my creation but I'm not gonna deny this may look a lot like a lot of other things you've seen before ! Still, I kinda like it, I'm open to ideas, suggestions, and of course, RP's !

The whole world's description will be at the end for clarity purposes, and it will be chunky, so come back up here when/if you're done reading and are interested :D

-So my general thoughts are that the rp could happen in different eras of the world, this is a very basic description so it leaves a lot for us to make together. I feel like it's got potential for big scale wars in a WH-esque fashion, as much as for a much simpler planet of the apes vibe with revolution themes or just daily life too. Or a DnD-esque adventure. We can play it during any age really.

-The races spoken of aren't the complete list so it's all good if you had something else in mind. I would rather have a full race than "curses" ones, so lycanthropy and vampirism for example can be added, but werewolves and vampires would be living species, not a curse you catch.

-The rp can be not about humans at all, or about a HumanXnon-human too.

-I am imaginning a very Aetherpunk atmosphere for the "present" times, either a feudal kind of society or something more like in Arcane with councils and such. Again, open to suggestions if you have a preference as we rp.

Now for the chunk. Forgive the terrible first sentence, it had to start somewhere :D

In a world filled with magic, multiple species dwell, their fates linked by a dark past. In older times, Humanity thrived as the sole intelligent species, building wonders of technology, reaching for the stars and knowing no bonds. This evolution was halted when they reached a point, at which their science allowed them to fiddle with the very fabric of space and time, and joined the domain of magic. This was the First Age of the world.
By going so far in its quest for power and control, mankind brought its own ruin and lost it all. The chain of events is now lost to the ages. but humanity brought forth, one way or another, the end of their technological prowess. In events only referred to as the advent, magic was released onto the world, and with it came many different races of intelligent beings.

In this Second Age, humans had to relearn everything, having lost their might, and they did so while being in competition with wild beasts, monsters, but also elves, orcs, and many other creatures, all waging war against each other. Eventually, the most victorious factions decided to try and end the violence, thus starting the Third Age.

As the Third Age came, many races had gone extinct, the world was a calmer place with fewer races now coexisting. Humans had made it through, but were far from the top of the food chain by then. As bigger cities and societies started to emerge, technology rose in pair with magic. Humans, nature's weakest, were part of it, but resentment grew within their ranks for being treated poorly and being basically the remaining losers of the big wars of the Second Age.

Eventually, a faction of rebel humans grew strong and influent enough to topple the system yet again, leading to another wide scale war. The big human uprising of the third age resulted in humanity being almost wiped out and the destruction of many major cities.

Now in the Fourth Age, the present one, the remaining, coexisting races are thriving. Magic and technology going together allowed their society to grow to unprecedented heights while keeping to ancient tradition and simple ways of life, all to avoid losing track of what should be done and what should not. Medieval cities of epic proportions where beast people, elves, sentient dragons coexist in relative harmony in this arcanepunk era.

Humans, while not extinct, are now as low as they ever were. Most free humans live in primitive tribes away from the Dominion's societies. They are tolerated, so long as they remain low with no attempts at rising ever again. Most humans now, are a part of this society, only not as citizen. They are used for labor sometimes, but mostly kept as pets, slaves, entertainment, since most average citizens see humans as barely intelligent apes.
