housands of years ago, the EUNOIA REGION was nothing more than an overgrown island inhabited by a few species of POKÉMON. Then one day a new HARVEST GODDESS was born and descended from the Heavens, bringing magic to the land. The soil became more fertile, the fruit more sweet. POKÉMON migrating from other regions settled in EUNOIA and the population steadily grew.

Researchers from other regions noticed this shift in POKÉMON behavior and set off on exhibitions in search of them. The discovery of the EUNOIA REGION was monumental and once word had spread, more people left their homes for a fresh start. The HARVEST GODDESS was elated, but uncertain if she had enough magic to sustain both POKÉMON and humans alike. Thankfully, she would soon receive the help she required.

Out of thin air, a curious CELEBI appeared before the HARVEST GODDESS. It watched as she accepted offerings from the humans and blessed them in return. She tended to sick POKÉMON and granted them a second chance at life. The CELEBI determined the HARVEST GODDESS to be worthy and left behind an egg before disappearing to another moment in time. The HARVEST GODDESS accepted her blessing and poured her heart into caring for it.

When the new CELEBI was born, the HARVEST GODDESS was overjoyed. She taught it about the land and its inhabitants, content with how little or much it understood. A season after its birth, CELEBI left to help the HARVEST GODDESS by protecting EUNOIA’s forests. It understood its duty and was determined to carry it out. She was sad to see her friend leave, but it always made sure to pay her a visit throughout the many years that passed.

Until the day came that CELEBI no longer returned to the HARVEST GODDESS. She never gave up hope, but she could sense that CELEBI had not been in her timeline for many years. Without its support, the HARVEST GODDESS’ magic began to falter. The human and POKÉMON population had grown to an all time high. Industrialization and the rise of technology had done irrevocable damage to the region. Less and less people came to bring her offerings.

Day by day the HARVEST GODDESS was drained of her power, until her last night had arrived. Without her magic and CELEBI’s support, she knew EUNOIA would only continue to decay. In a desperate attempt to prevent this outcome, she appeared in the dreams of NINE HUMANS. Her magic could only reach those sleeping in the small town of WINDERMERE and the outskirts just beyond its borders. She turned to stone shortly after, in the GODDESS' SPRINGS.

In this dream, she told them of her and CELEBI’s origins. Of how she had not felt CELEBI’s presence for many, many years. That her magic had finally run out. She begged them to find CELEBI and save the region before it was too late. Without them, EUNOIA could not support the generations to come. When the nine chosen arrive, a mysterious figure greets them.

Experience with POKÉMON and HARVEST MOON games isn't strictly necessary to join, but you may have to read some wiki pages without it.

I don't care much about word count, but I do ask that posts move the story along rather than focusing too much on reacting. Plotting and communication will be key. We will give FIVE to SEVEN days to post once it's your turn depending on posting group sizes.

The minimum age for characters will be TWENTY, there is no maximum. All sexualities and gender expressions are welcome. I am looking for diversity in our cast, so I will place a cap if face claims are too similar. Please avoid excessive angst or main character syndrome when writing your apps.

I will be accepting up to TWO TRAINERS, with the storyline a gym leader or Elite Four might not be the best fit. TRAINERS can have up to SIX POKÉMON in their party, everyone else can have up to THREE. Region variants of Pokémon will be accepted as long as you have a good reason for your character to have one, such as being from Alola. As for shinies, I will be allowing them but you'll have to roll in the Discord in order to have one. We'll be generating a number and you can roll as many times as you want to get it. We will cap shinies at THREE, but there may be opportunities to catch one. I will not be accepting any legendary Pokémon.

There will be SPECIFIC POKÉMON in each area of the region, so anyone looking to catch one will have to roll to determine which it is. The number will depend on how many Pokémon are in the area, so it will vary. You will roll a 1d10 to determine whether you catch it, a roll of 6+ will secure the Pokémon but they'll break free with anything lower. You can throw as many Poké Balls as your character has. I will be incorporating a SIMPLIFIED INVENTORY SYSTEM that focuses more on standard items rather than anything that raises stats. The same system of battling NPCs will apply, but trainers will receive a +2 BONUS to their rolls. Winners for battles between characters can be determined by rolls or plotting. Battles will be one way characters earn money.

Apps are not first come, first serve, but I won't take too long to respond to them. If your app is accepted, you will have FIVE DAYS to complete your character sheet.
