Fandom Touhou RP Ideas.

Been getting into the Touhou series again recently and have been itching for RP. I'm just not sure what kinda rp to run or what kinda story to play. Just gonna put this out here if anyone thinks it would be fun. I'm thinking of something generally casual-friendly and to focus on character interactions.

I've actually thought about hosting a Touhou group RP that takes place immediately after the lunar invasion (and therefore long before the spellcard era),but I'm not quite capable of being the GM for a group right now. But maybe if more people show interest we can all brainstorm an interesting setting and story.

It does not necessarily have to be in the canon universe either. Just a fun setting to play with the characters would be nice. Or just some kinda story set up of any genre really. We can think it over if this gets more attention.

Anyway,laying out the ideas for my hypothetical RP because I've rarely told anyone about them:

• Takes place shortly after the failed lunar invasion: in order to prevent an immediate lunar counterattack, someone cuts off Gensokyo's connection to the moon, like what will later happen in Imperishable Night. The nights get shorter and the moon never rises, significantly weakening youkai who are otherwise stronger at night.
• Because of how many people were committed to the invasion, a lot of the existing factions/power structures in Gensokyo are weakened by the failure of the invasion. This leads to chaos as many smaller splinter groups form and try to recruit allies/make war on their rivals to gain more power.
• To top it all off, the incumbent Hakurei Miko has disappeared in the aftermath. She must be retrieved, or a suitable replacement to receive the blessing of the Hakurei God must be found.
• Among other things, Makai/Pandemonium led by Shinki is currently intersecting with Gensokyo, and will not do so again until centuries later, early in Reimu's career.
• The players take the role of a faction of youkai and other supernatural beings (and maybe some spiritually/magically gifted humans) who form in the wake of the failed invasion, and pursue the three goals of re-establishing connection to the moon, subduing the more belligerent factions, and restoring the Hakurei's duty, essential steps that lead to the more stable state of Gensokyo "today".

I was introduced to Touhou from a friend on Discord, and now I’m even considering getting some of the games.

I also have some OC’s if you’d like. I don’t really play Canons, but I can try too. Also, note that I’m a Crossover junkie, so basically if you allow that, I would be more than happy to do some.
