    god, I've been waiting days for my roleplays to start and I'm beginning to lose interest. if it isn't going to happen I'm to have shut it down. I never getting that 500 post. what's a point? I worked on these roleplays right here and no one bothers giving them a chance. you guys are right. no bother cares about me, I'm just one of the many fish of sea that wanders aimlessly like a ghost. at this rate why am I wasting my time anymore?


    i honestly don't how i can at least get people look into.

    God it's impossible to get 500 post at this rate. I'm too goddamn picky and most of that stuff I've seen just feel to integrating or already going. I freaking seriously want to join an actual role play right now. (Also, for sorry for sounding like a baby but I'm gone darn serious)

    General discussions is a great place to go. There are lots of fun conversations going on there. You can easily get a hundred in a day by going through those.

    Also, people tested it out and uploading images to a gallery on RPN also counts.

    okay, so, I'm planning on doing a rp and one of my characters is a young man raised by talking wolves. the things is, though, that he speaks in broken English because of his time living with the wolves since he was only 6 years old. so now, I'm asking how I can write in broken English to show he has a poor grasp of it.

    I could make the snarkiest joke right now. "You did a great job just then", but I won't.


    You could just... 'just do it' without any inherent rules. Just intentionally put some strange syntax and really strange choices of words here and there. I don't think it's really that complicated; just think of a sentence then say "Now, how could I say this in a stranger, less intelligent way?"


    Can I ask why it's always wolves though? I like dogs too, but it's always 'raised by wolves'...

    Well my advice would be to speak sorta like a person who is not a native English speaker for starters. Have your character forget or plain just not know certain words occasionally. For example, your character does not know the word grass so instead they describe it as the earths green hair (I actually heard that once) or call a duck a water bird. Make them speak a lot with their hands, motioning towards what you are talking about instead of using the actual word. Remember, your character likely doesn't know how to read or write, and there are a lot of words in civilized human society that wolves would never use/know so your character probably hasn't even heard a lot of the terms people are going to use around him. I imagine that wolves, talking or not, are still primal beasts and so their sentences will be short and to the point... maybe they don't even use full sentences. For example, 'sun comes' instead of 'the sun is coming up'.

    Hmm. I would just join any RP that you like, and learn by doing. Most people won't judge your grammar. They care more about your content than your grammar (at least, that's how I feel!).


    I know that I've learned a few grammar tricks and new words in my... however many months of being here. :)


    There's always a chance to improve!

    Hm, not really low.  If these are "picky" then some of the requirements I've seen are downright tyrannical.  Read one user require the avatar of their partner had to match their character.  Teenagers are also not exclusively used for high school RPs.  I also run a HS RP, my hurt feels (joke).


    Now, in regards to detailed posts... I would say that you're definition and mine on what detailed means are different.  So you'd need to specify exactly what you mean by detailed since some may view detailed as a minimum of 20 paragraphs while to you it could be 1 paragraph.  Originals do get their fair share of interest here as well, so I don't think that is an issue.  But even with the best promotional skills for an RP will not make it long lasting.  I've only ever had one super long-lasting RP and that was YEARS ago.  But I keep trying.
