I've been writing for over 10 years. I enjoy post apoc, fantasy, vampires/werewolves, slice of life, mystery, action, thriller, futuristic, medieval, etc. I mostly prefer playing OCs myself since it gives me a bit more creative freedom. I'm a paragraph poster and like a frequent posting pace. I really appreciate writing that SHOWS rather than tells what's happening in a scene, which is such an easy trap to fall into as we all know. Feel free to message me as I'm always looking for a fab partner or group to write with!

I started off roleplaying on the tabletop as well... 2nd ed. ad&d, Battletech, Glorantha - those types of systems. Before long I started running 'games' through e-mail for my players - to flesh out backstories, complete small solo adventures and that sort of thing. I learned over the years that I much prefer the slow, steady freeform roleplay that collaborative writing offers. It's not the same as on the table, not by a long shot. Text-based forum RP is less exciting than rolling dice on the table, but it does offer a way to more carefully push back the boundaries of your imagination and create something that (with the right partners) can be truly exceptional, and will give you fond memories upon rereading for years to come.

That's my experience with it anyway. Good luck finding partners.
 
Hello there! I recently went on a hiatus on a previous site I used to be on, come to find out now that it was archived. So I moved on to another site and heard about this place which was a recommendation made by an online friend of mine. A little bit about myself, I am non-binary, but dont mind playing the roles of women and men, I'm very LGBTQ+ friendly, and I really love anime, marvel movies and tv shows. To name a few for anime, I recently have been hooked on My Hero Academia, some others I like are Inuyasha, Oruan High School Host Club, Assasination Classroom, Magi and the Magic Kingdom, etc. Some TV shows I really love are Supernatural, Criminal Minds, Loki, The Walking Dead, etc. As for all of that, I think that is all I can think of at the moment. I'm just glad to be here to meet new people to rp with and meet! :)

  • What interests you have within roleplay, such as genre or settings: I’m guilty of hoarding slice of life type tropes. ‘There was only one bed’ or hurt/comfort style plot. I do get the inspiration for more drama or action though!
  • What interests you have outside of roleplay; such as a hobby: I knit and crochet, as well as cosplay in a non-pro setting.
  • Why you decided to join RpNation: Honestly? It was recommended by someone when I asked for a good site to do both fandom and original roleplaying content.
  • Write about your pet (if you have one): I have two cats (Karen and Rose Tyler) and one tarantula.

I come from Quotev, where I still pop on every once in a while under the same username. 9 times out of 10 you can actually find me on most social media sites using the same username. It started as an old gamertag and never changed.

I'm a nightowl as I work third shift, so that is when you're most likely to find me online and responsive. I'm here to chat and maybe RP some.

i've been roleplaying for precisely 14 years lmao cos i can still fetch my very first posts on gaia online. this is a hobby i enjoy a lot because i'm esl and i learned english especially through writing... twas a process. i'm mostly a slice of life writer but i can clown with a lot of stuff - hope i can find some new partners around here!

Okay so it took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure out that I had to verify my email before I was allowed to post or edit my avatar. Then of course this computer doesn't have any of my avatar photos. My current one is art I had made for me many years ago. It's one of two I consistently reuse. Sadly I don't know who the artists were and haven't received a response from the old sites </3

Anyways: Call me Pakku, I started RPing back in 2007. I've been on and off again has life gets hectic sometimes. I will usually post several paragraphs once every day at a minimum. At the moment I'm only interested in 1x1 roleplays and my partners will always have a heads up when I am either taking a break or going away.

I'm usually interested in Sci-fi/Fantasy stuff. Only things that I have *no* are romance focused RP...and a few other things that are actually against the rules so that works out actually! I also exclusively play males as my main. But I've no issue juggling multiple characters of any gender. Generally I'm the ideas guy who comes up with all kinds of things. My strengths are humor, worldbuilding, and maybe action sequences. My weakness is sounding good in as few words as possible.
My other hobbies is video games! I'm sure that's not a shocker. The only MMO I consistently play is Final Fantasy 14 if anyone here is on the Faerie server let me know!

I'll be making a 1x1 recruitment thread if anyone's interest is piqued. I'm particularly interested in Dragon Age Fandom RP right now. I have 3 OCs: Male elf, Male Tal'Vashoth, Male "Human" (Semi-self-insert MGiT)

I'm a Gay married man and we have 2 cats and a bird. Even though my husband is the animal lover it's a running joke that if magic were real I'd probably be a ranger/druid with special animal powers. Because I certainly have a way with animals and I fucking *hate* it. Sure it's convenient sometimes but at the same time they will. not. leave me alone!

Hello! Im Resurrect, or Rezzy for short! ive been on the RP Scene for about 7 years now, though this is my first time on this site! Im a fan of medieval fantasy, and dystopian/futuristic RP settings, though i can really get behind anything. Other than RP i like to game a lot, and thats pretty much it outside of work. And I joined, just because of a friend! Pleasure to meet you all.
 
Resurrection Resurrection What kind of RPs are you looking into? I do favor the categories you mentioned. At the moment I'm craving a Dragon Age RP, but maybe I'll be comfortable with a 1x1 RP with a plotline/pairing you are craving.
