Hi! Just call me Gadg-eight-eer. I was born in the early 90s and my author avatar is a reflection of how I just sort of stopped caring about my physical age shortly before I turned 11. I've been roleplaying since the late 00s but it seems even sites from as recent as 7 years ago are no longer around. I've been busy in that time with everything from writing a never-completed novel about alternate timelines, to a total mental breakdown, to trips to South America to visit relatives, to publishing a book of short stories, to moving ~1000 km from my hometown of 25 years since then. I'm asexual so I'm glad this place has rules against sexual roleplay; it would be a pain having to restrict that kind of thing myself.

My favorite pieces of media are Pokémon, Codename: Kids Next Door, Animal Crossing, Dark Chronicle/Dark Cloud 2, the newer (post-San Andreas) Grand Theft Auto games, Spore, Inception, Nobilis (well, the 3rd Edition anyway), Starbound, Splatoon, American Truck Simulator, the No Game No Life anime (as horribly riddled with Isekai clichés as it is), Glitch Techs and Star Citizen. Now would probably be a good time to mention I consume a lot of fiction and keep relatively close tabs on what I've seen going back over a decade.

Fair warning, I can't stand seeing children die in works of fiction, even RPs. This includes large numbers of people dying (say, a small city or large airliner) that is broad enough that one or more children not being among the dead would be inconceivable in real life. I'll give a pass for backstories as long as it's not a horrifying gorefest, but it will not be allowed over the progression of any of my RPs and I will be leaving any RP where it happens and the creator decides to allow it.

Aside from that, access to at least clockwork technology is something I look for in an RP setting, and I have a particular interest in "Y2K Aesthetic". Any level of magic is fine, but I prefer when said magic is either on-par with the capabilities of technology, or can be easily combined with the inferior technology to create hybrid mechanisms that make magic's superiority more palatable. Keep in mind that I mean either "swords and sorcery" magic, "Harry Potter" style magic, or Eastern Mysticism style magic like chi energy; Things like superheroes, ghosts, psychics/psionics, and angels and demons just seem to mesh better with my perceptions of tech than wizards or gurus.

Despite all this, I respect the intent of an RP. If I like your setting, I'll ask questions to be sure whether my character can fit into it without feeling shoehorned, but I try to have enough sense to not ask for any changes to be made to the setting on my behalf, and I am willing to modify the "baseline" interpretation of my character to fit your world better.

Sorry for the wall of text! I hope I can have fun in this community without running into any conflicts, and will do my best not to be the start of an argument.

Hey There :)! I've been In the Roleplaying Community for about 6 through 7 years, Though I have taken a Break for a while lol! My Interest mainly Include Videogames such as Far Cry and Fall-Out, But Also Assassin's Creed and Red Dead! But i am suler awkward around New People Lol!

Give me some times and I'll Be a Chatter Box with OC's and Ideas for Any Roleplay's! my hobbies also Include Reading Mythology, Going on Walks around my Neighborhood and Writing (Sorta Ironic Lol). I own Three dogs and Two Cats :)! They're Lovely Little Cuddle Bugs if you give them the Chance! But Anyhow, I mainly decided to Join RPNation after mindlessly scrolling to find a Good Roleplay as I had been Bored for a Long Time! (Plus no Current RP partners were responding sadly.)

I've got like 6 years of Rp experience on me, so you could say I'm quite a seasoned veteran.

Anyway tho, I am not huge on OC's since I've never roleplayed with mine, but I'd certainly try it out.

I'm from Germany so excuse my English Grammar, especially commas, I'll never get those right :').

My favorite fandoms are: One Piece, Harry Potter, BBC Sherlock and Owl House.

Anyway, I'm the brother of Gadg8eer, who also joined just recently. My roleplaying experience dates back to 2003 on a little-known and now-deleted Sonic fansite called the Sonic Zone Forums, though I'm not just a Sonic fan and have a huge variety of interests. I consider myself a very creative and literate person, with a million ideas at a time and only a handful that really get finished. However, I'm also very much not a fan of interpersonal drama and will actively avoid it. Mainly I'm just here to have fun, meet new people, and improve my writing skills. I look forward to introducing you all to my menagerie of weird characters.

Ex Roleplayer and part-time Meme-Lord, trying to get back into the ol' razzle dazzle.
I'm 21, although I might come off as older due to me not having had Internet access for a long time (I swear, say what you want 'bout the net, but never have I felt so out of touch with my generation).
I used to write a lot, but recently inspiration is a rare resource to come by. At least for me. Always been a problem, but now my head is like, I dunno, just playing White Noise. Ehh. Hoping to get that fixed here.

As far as RPs are concerned, I only give Slice-of-Life things a hard pass. It's nice to have Slice-of-Life moments in an RP, but just that and nothing else or too less of the other stuff (action, fantastical elements etc) just isn't my cup of tea.

That said, I'm not one to discriminate, neither people nor ideas, so I don't wanna count out SLO entirely, maybe there is an idea out there that makes my Electrons leave my body, leaving me highly positively charged.

I'd tell you "I'm Astrauss," but part of me is discussing whether or not I'll be changing my username. I'm not fantastic at these, but I like writing and I am not into playing canon characters or doubling. * I am a little bit of a veteran of roleplaying for admittedly 20 years!
* I typically do 1x1 RPs, but don't mind changing it up to group or dice-based! I also prefer novel-style over quick-replies.
* I typically stick to JJBA or MLP Roleplays in terms of world building, but often utilize OCs in lieu of canon.
* I am currently working through a CompSci degree of sorts, and can sometimes be absent curing competitions.
