Spooky Scary Skeletons!
So, in honor of my new favorite game, I wanted to try and set up an RP with some of its flavor. I'm thinking of a semi-literate roleplay (1-3 paragraph replies) encompassing elements from Jurassic World, Terra Nova, The Walking Dead, and Mad Max, with the setting being in the far future post-apocalypse with humans, androids, cyborgs, and mutants (kind of like furries / scalies, but none of that yiff stuff).
The goal in this crazy world would be to survive against the insurmountable. Original species of dinosaurs roam wild across the entire globe, hybrids lurk in the most unexpected places, and the sentient species must try to recover the lost technologies, all while surviving each other. To make matters worse, the entire population of humans and mutants carry a virus which turns them into mindless flesheaters upon death. So not only is there threats to life from outside civilized compounds, but any sickness could render you dead, and inevitably anyone else around you.
Androids have made detection of the post-death reanimation easier, but it is hard to tell whether or not the AI of these machines is keeping humanity's preservation at the forefront of their processes. The three laws govern them, but who knows if they still apply this far in the future. Even the cyborg humans and mutants have trouble fitting in. Nothing is more terrifying than a reanimated cyborg who can run faster than a Harpymimus (fastest running dino at 25 miles per hour) and chew on you with more power than a tyrannosaur.
Technology is as much gold as it is poison these days, and it's a matter of whether or not you have the utensils and/or smarts to unlock the potential of the devices available. Will you use your technology to further scientific research, arm yourself against the rest of the world, provide more food for your compound, or will you take matters into your own hands and experiment on mutants or the fauna around you?
This is my idea, and I'm wondering if anyone is interested? The story will be better fleshed out if there's a good interest for it. I just don't want to go through the effort of making a backstory if people think it's crap. :3
