Fantasy ignore this

Also! The 2(+?) that were interested in playing the Nightmare Child role should definitely discuss that here!

I'm potentially interested in the Nightmare Child role as well, if no one else decides they want it.

"Anything"

Just wanted to clarify something about the summoning-demons thing. It says that the demons last until the blood stops flowing from the wound, does that mean the wound has to be open at all times while the demon is possessing them/giving them powers?

That's more or less what I figured but did you have something else in mind? I imagine it'll be a fairly flexible system.

If I were the Nightmare Child I was thinking a girl with great power but no idea how to use them and as a result seems weak, but by instinct or accident has moments of pure destruction.

If I were Human, I'd be a cyborg ninja girl who's fucking awesome and guards the Nightmare Child like a no nonsense badass.

If I did a walker it would be a female demon who was outcast from actually starting to feel feelings for real and follows the Nightmare child in hopes of change.

It just means there's a limit to how long you can use a demon's powers. If the more serious the wound the more powerful the demon, and you have to keep the wound open and bleeding to keep the demon's presence, you'd bleed out faster the stronger the demon. Just an interesting dynamic.

What causes the wounds to heal though? You said the sacrificial wounds heal extra fast, but they have to remain open for the demon's power to flow. Is something keeping it open, some spell or command that can be ended?

xD Don't try to ration it, lol, just think of it like Deadman Wonderland

The wound is kept open normally as you'd expect from a wound, but unless you want to bleed out and die once you're done doing what you need to you might bandage it up and once the flow stops, then the regeneration process might proceed pretty quickly (or something to this effect).

To address a message I got about powers, Mutations, Possession, and Summons are all different.

Mutations: This is kind of like a curse, demonic influence permanently warps your body (maybe an exorcist can do something about this but it's a big if), so your hand might be disfigured into a massive blade of bone and you might have like insect eyes or something. This may or may not affect your mental state.

Possession: This is when a demon inhabits your body. All Devil's Children are considered possessed by default - it can speak to you inside your head, and if it's controlling the body, it gets to communicate and interact with the outside world in place of its host. The way you draw out a possession demon's abilities (without them being in control) is similar to the ways one might cast demonology spells like summoning.

Summoning: Most but not all summoning means you're calling forth a demon to serve as your familiar (which can include your possession demon if you're possessed). It lasts until the spell hits whatever limitations that it has, such as the lack of spilling blood.

Everything Else: Other spells fall under the blanket demonology category - stuff like temporary mutations, psychokinesis, tongues, etc.

Also can I have your Character Sheet code? xD
Code:
[FONT=Book Antiqua]Terumi[/FONT]

[FONT=Book Antiqua][imageFloat=left] [/imageFloat]

Name: Terumi Ueno

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Species: Human

Role: Survivor, previously banded with the Sakura Academy faction

Personality: Terumi is the type to try and keep her chin up in life, even in the midst of a demon apocalypse. She enjoys the little things in life, and if one were to ask her why she fights, it would be to protect those precious little things. She readily trusts others, but only to a point - she is no stranger to traitors and has long since stopped being surprised by them. If only things were how they used to be. . . was a life of chilling on the couch and watching anime too much to ask for!?[tabs][tab=Skills & Gear][/tab][/tabs][/FONT][tabs][tab=Gear & Skills][FONT=Book Antiqua]Gear:[/FONT]

[Tool] Knife: Can't be caught without one of these.
[Tool] Spray Can: These come in more handy than you think.
[Tool] Demon Blood Vial: Summoning reagent.

[Weapon] Iron Pipe: Ol' reliable.
[Weapon] 9mm Pistol: Nothing amazing but it'll do in a pinch.
[Artifact] Newblood Grimoire: A hellish tome that describes summoning techniques for simple demon familiars among other spells. It's difficult to decipher.

[FONT=Book Antiqua]Skills:[/FONT]

[Technique] Ricochet: Terumi has developed an uncanny ability for making her shots round corners.
[Demonology] Lesser Hell Hound: A summoning spell for a lesser demon, requiring a large symbol to be drawn in demon blood.
[Demonology] Blood Warp: An enhancement spell that requires one to draw their own blood and coat their weapon in it, giving it increased power and making it prehensile.
[Skill] First Aid: This is practically mandatory for anyone even considering involving themselves in demonic arts.
[Skill] Navigation: Terumi rarely gets lost, even in new cities or unfamiliar terrain. And for a place that she is familiar with, she can instantly slip through the cracks.

[FONT=Book Antiqua][/tab][tab=Biography]Terumi was a student of Sakura Academy when disaster struck. The school's staff and students stuck to one another like glue, using their campus as a bastion of defense as they used their manpower and supplies to help those in need. However, after a deal gone wrong with another faction, she was among those blamed and booted from their group - now, she wanders the hellscape alone looking for a place to belong.[/tab][/FONT][/tabs]
Here's what mine looks like in code form!

Just as a heads up I'll likely start the thread up some time this week, maybe after 2 or more character sheets roll in

Can someone be an exorcist and a faction member or does faction member mean demonologist ?

"Ram use roll-in!"

DDC shrieked at the lazy boy in the midst of a blood-boiling battle.

Faction member just means your character is part of an organized group that's probably given themselves a name so they don't conflict with each other!
