Merdell Academy is home to the future leaders of Myerium, a world struggling to recuperate after a world war. The current rulers of Thanade, Aveoul, Myndok, Yystan, Lweste,and Eryanda agreed to make sure the freshly established treaties stayed for as long as possible and prospered. So they all agreed they’d raise their heirs together. Each royal family sent their heirs and champions to Merdell Academy in order for them to create bonds. Merdell Academy will teach them of acceptance, how to hone their kingdoms unique abilities, and how to be a proper leader. Make Myerium prosperous once more with us.

Hey! I'm xCharm and I hope you join this role-play! It's high fantasy and takes place on a different planet called Myerium. There are six kingdoms, each with it's own unique culture. Everyone in this role-play is a "mage"Every kingdom has an ability called a "specialty" that only the natives can do. Here's the list.

Thanade Kingdom: Necromancy; Raise and control the dead (Champion; Taken Heir; Taken )

Erynada Kingdom: Shape Shift into Animals and talk/control to them (Heir; Taken Champion; Taken )

Aveoul Kingdom: Super Bodies; Enhanced strength, durability, speed and senses ( Heir; Taken Champion; Taken)

Lweste Kingdom: Light Manipulation/Summon & Illusions ( Heir; Taken Champion; Taken )

Yystan Kingdom: Weather Manipulation; Create storms,tsunamis, earthquakes etc..(Champion; Taken Heir; Taken)

Myndok Kingdom: Telekinesis and Telepathy (Champion; Taken Heir; Taken)

Your character in this role-play will either be a "royal", the heir to your chosen kingdom or its "champion". A person who's the best at the kingdom's specialty. Putting the ruler of the kingdom at a cold second in terms of magical power. While the royal will be training to become a ruler, the "champion" will be learning how to lead a army.

A more descriptive lore will be up when the role-play is, which will be up when enough people are interested. ^_^ This role-play will have 12 slots in total available. I´d love to be the champion of Thanade. I have something in mind for such a character already. ^^
I'm glad~! The strongest necromancer taken already? I'm so excited to see what you'll come up with.
 
Question. Are enchanted items a thing? Is that something only a specific country could do?
There's these things called vessels. " All magic users can create vessels. Vessels are objects magic users can channel mana through or keep mana in. Vessels can be wands, staffs, orbs, necklaces, rings, swords, anything imaginable." This lore refers to a ability all vessels have, "release". Since your character will be a Thanade, here's the power of a champion's vessel "release".

" In the 2nd year of the war, Thanade’s champion released. It was terrifying. Every corpse that was semi sturdy rose, it was the reason Erynadians were forced back and lost the "First Garden". You may think, what’s the big deal? People rose the dead in the war all the time. They did but could one person raise 500,000 at a time? No, only on that day were corpses risen in such an amount. Those new dead swarmed like the bugs soon to appear the next week. They had little strategy but overwhelming numbers. They destroyed platoons one after the next of Erynadians, eating soldiers alive, rising right back up after every single lethal blow until they were in pieces ..... It was called “The Week of the Undead”. "
 
Just to clear it up just in case, release is a one time thing. It's a "once in a lifetime" spell. Vessels aren't always that powerful.

My first concept for the character is supposed to own a mask, with various effects that have no real power by themselves. Example given, glowing eyes and a change of voice, when the mask is worn.

Or, another example, imagine Thor and his hammer. The way he calls the hammer to himself. Thats what i meant with "enchantment" stuff that doesnt really bring power, but is useful (or just a gimmick).

Ooo~ The mask idea is allowed, the explanation to it- a spell was cast on it. ^_^ I actually quite like it.

It has a very, very interesting feel to it and I'm generally a sucker for these academy ones so I knew I was going to be hooked! ;)

I have a little more questions concerning the necromancy. Since, you see, necromancy is simply magic intertwined with death. Now, my question is, could the strongest necromancer go beyond just reviving the dead? Oftenly, strong necromancy is revolving a lot around the "soul", rather than just simply zombies. My question here is, do i get a bit of freedom with my characters magical potential or is it more set in stone?

Having a champion OC has it's perks and one of those perks is breaking the boundaries of your kingdom's specialty. So yes, yes you may.
 
And how would the heir's abilities fair up against a champion if I may ask as a matter of comparison? :)

A champion is the strongest in the kingdom's specialty but the heir is second to NONE BUT the champion. So, if I had to do a comparison....
A champion's power would be a 11/10, a heir could be a 10/10.
A heir is very much so strong, but a champion can do things a heir never would think possible when it comes down to the kingdom's specialty. For example, Kitten's character might actually be able to REVIVE a person. A heir could never.
 
I get ya, I think that'll be a good dynamic between the Heir and the Champion of Aveoul since the abilities they possesa invariably lead them to physical combat. They would be sparring with each other nonstop!
