FableWood. A place where stories come alive. Legends are real and the characters of fairy tale are made of flesh and blood. This world has always been separate from the world you know, yet connected to it. Our imaginations give it form, our dreams give it power. Without dreamers, the world of FableWood will cease to exist.
Since the first tale was told, tricksters have walked our minds; their mischief treading the line between good and ill. They are powerful in their cleverness, their ambition and their creativity. From Sly Fox, in all his forms, to Raven, to the Monkey King, to the timid rabbit and the tiny spider. Each has earned their own place in story. Each has a light side…and a dark…
…Something has happened.
Something in FableWood is terribly wrong: The once peaceful forests are being plagued with dark creatures, half-real, half shadow. The moon has been cleaved, half a pure, pale, pearl, and half glowing the colour of freshly-spilled blood. The light of the moon is no longer gentle and cleansing, instead it is sharp, and under it, creatures are turned slowly to madness. The tricksters of FableWood, who have stood so long as pillars of the world, the only ones who may have understood this madness, have gone missing.
It is as if the very soul of FableWood has been rent in twain, the fabric of the world imbalanced. Now it seems the cloth of the world is beginning to rip, the magic turned wild is summoning people from the real world anew, and without calling.
As denizens of FableWood you have a choice: find out the cause of the world’s madness and stop it, or join the forces of darkness and help tear the land apart.
As real-worlders dragged to FableWood, the dreamers, the very creators of the world, you will begin to develop unimaginable powers. Will you help save it?

Get ready for another run of fantastic fairy tale adventure!
You can play a real-world human who has been dragged to FableWood by unseen magic, or you can be any creature or character out of fairy tale or legend with some exceptions which I have reserved as Npcs relevant to the story. All the fairy tale characters live together in a single world with many different parts to it. They interact, they know of each other and many of them are friends.
There will be several tricksters available as playable characters (list to be provided later) but they are only open to application via a writing sample, PMed to me before you post a CS. These characters will be tied to the story line so the players who want them MUST stay active. Do not apply for one if you are not sure you want it. If you do apply and are accepted to play a trickster and you leave without warning (you can leave, you just need to notify me) for longer than a week you will not be allowed to rejoin the thread with your trickster character. Again, if you aren’t sure if you can handle this commitment, please don’t apply to play a trickster. You can start with a different character and if you feel you want a trickster later you may apply.
Human characters will start with no powers, but will slowly develop their powers throughout the storyline and become more powerful than the denizens of FableWood.
Gods will not be characters in this thread. Example: Loki is a trickster, but he is not a part of FableWood. No exceptions.
Heroes in myth will be permitted.
