5 years after a massive Drone uprising due to a deadly virus put humanity on the edge of extinction and locked up human streets and buildings under the threat of death, took out any form of Comms, and destroyed any form of travel that wasn't locked up and protected, it seems only a few humans remain. The remaining humans have took up refuge in whatever they could find and have hunkered down to survive another day, taking care to be as careful as possible to not set off their sensory systems. Those who lived with them everyday have had to live with the hard decision of having to take out or shutdown any human-like robots or robot-like humans (aka cyborgs and androids), and move on. Families torn apart by this devastating virus, Billions upon Billions of lives ended by any sort of Artificial Intelligence, the environment overgrown and abandoned, devoid of human life. The only thing that walks the streets are robots aiming to kill you
Humanity is scattered around the earth. Survivalist camps have been set up, forced to use more primitive technology as all the AI is out to kill them.
Hunters hunt and forage for food, whether it means killing animals or scavenging what they can from houses and stores
Teachers take care of the children
Doctors provide aid for the wounded
Farmers provide the home-grown food
Engineers maintain any defensive systems and fortifications, as well as stand ready when it's time to set up comms
Computer Scientists are looking to reprogram any robot captured with systems intact and do what they can to eliminate the devastating computer virus
Mission Runners, who come in all different types, brave the frontlines, rescuing and escorting any and everyone who needs to leave the wire.
The day in the life of a human is a constant struggle for survival at the hands of not just superior firepower, but superior firepower THEY created. These people, however, have one thing that drones lack: Camaraderie. The humans will link up, gather up, and then begin the pushback. Through thick and thin. Through gunfire and sickness, flesh and wire, one thing always stands: The willpower to fight for your own humanity and the lives of those around you give you something that will never die out.
Alright, so this RP is a survival RP dedicated to teamwork, survival, and deep thought. I need a Drone Generator. This player's sole purpose is to create as many drone variants as possible and toss them in when someone fucks up. Makes too much noise, pops off a shot without a silencer, trips on a rock and their gun clatters on the road, whatever. Something happens that'll trigger a Drone's sensory systems, you bring in a Drone to fuck them up. I think this will be a bigger step up than a person who's in the Mission Party creating, controlling and fighting both sides. Your entire purpose is to kill off the Mission Party
You can use cybernetics, but they're not the focus. No Psionics, since that's just magic. If a part of you can link to any kind of wifi, bluetooth, computer or whatever, it's allowed, but heavily discouraged as that'll mean you'll be effectively in a CONSTANT mental/physical struggle against the parts of you that'll be affected by this virus.
With my desire for a Drone Generator in mind, that'll tell you that these drones are designed to be a THREAT. This isn't like in Zombie settings who you can mow down with ease with a good automatic gun. Oh no! It can happen to some, but some of these Drones would be Military-Grade, with armor and whatnot, as well as armament of their own, superior stuff and maybe even Radars or Seismic Sensors, Night Vision or Thermal, Infrared, Rocket Launchers, Miniguns. Oh yea, and Drone Generator also extends to Androids, since they are AI as well
This is all for the sake of deep thought and teamwork. You often get those who just want to walk the earth as a lone wolf in Zombie stuff. That's fine, but here that's not realistic if you aim to survive long. This isn't just gonna be some sitting at the same place type RP either. There will be advancement. Comms (TV, Radio, and Internet) need to be set up, survivors need to be rescued, and cities need to be cleared out
