Futuristic Space Truckers OOC

hey look i actually did shit guys
good god i was not ready for this
like 21 people holy hell

Mm... with this many people, I may have some difficulty. I'm only around during 'normal business hours', meaning I don't post on evenings or weekends. That tends to put my schedule backwards of everyone else's, making fast-paced roleplays difficult for me to keep up with. It gives me a lot of time to make in-depth posts, though, which is a big plus in the more detailed-style roleplays. It's up to you if you think this is going to be a problem.

Another caveat: I have difficulty reading coded posts. I can usually muddle my way through coded CS's, but if code is being used regularly in IC posting, I probably will drop out to avoid dragging down the pace.

What do you think?

i work nights (weekends too) and sleep during the day i know how you feel ;-;
it doesn't cripple me too much though (and i usually read during breaks)

Well from previous experience only like 25-50% of people who initially expressed interest actually contribute to the RP.
Also i never really use code.

Time or work hours don't bother me. I'll use ally be on in the evenings PST.

Well actually since i read that a second time i think I interpreted it wrong

crumbelivable crumbelivable i'd like to reserve the spot of engineer

What kind of engineer?

I'd like my character to be a mechanical and civil (structural) engineer, but I don't want overlap, so if you're going for those, I'll pick a different character... but if you're doing more electrical, software, and/or chemical (fuel balance and computer functions, power supplies, etc), it would probably be fun to have two different engineers who work closely together to keep the ship running properly.

i was aiming for powerplant/propulsion engineer, which may have a little overlap though i'd be confined to the engine room, and not be involved with conventional or hull type maintenance or machinery.

But yes another miserable grimy wrench monkey would be nice

Excellent. A little overlap is probably not a bad thing. It means when something goes bad wrong, they can fix it faster.

Dirty monkeys

The only good monkey is a dirty wrench monkey.
