  • (If anything, as horrible as the cat-calling is, it's a nice reality-check. So what if you got powers? Life goes on, your best friend remains your best friend, guys in gangs keep cat-calling you. All the little things stay the same.)
  • You smile at the black humour of it all;
  • "You're an arsehole." you tell him in a friendly tone.

  • You should probably call her back while you walk home.
  • ...You should probably tell Kat beforehand that it's Toybox you're calling.
 
4. Look around the way you came. You must have lost it somewhere. If you can't find it, ask Kat to borrow her phone. If she doesn't let you, head back home anyway, and contact through e-mail.

  • You backtrack, hoping to find where you dropped it in your mad dash. This is just fucking typical and, yet again, you are pissed as all hell.
  • (If you can't find it & you think you remember Jeweller's number, you ask Kat to borrow her phone).

((Actually belated realisation - we're trying to find the new (thought outdated) phone Toybox gave us. Do we know it's number yet? I'm cool with saying Maria memorised it at some point, but honestly it took me multiple years to memorise my own number :P  ))


Option 2 / 4* (call the phone)

  • A bunch of white guys, out at dusk, just loitering in your neighbourhood? Worst case scenario they're Knights but honestly they don't have to be Knights to freak you out. Not all the racists, sexist guys joined the Knights. Plus Kat is nervous too - you gotta look out for each other.
  • *You cross the road, putting some distance between you, and an idea strikes you. You could facepalm - you can't believe you didn't think of this earlier!
  • "Hey Kat, can we call my phone? We might be able to hear it."

  • *You cross the road, putting some distance between you and the guys, and continue to try and look for the little flip-phone.
 
Option 2 / 4

  • You almost have a heart-attack when Jeweller addresses you, until you remember you blurted out your sisters name when you met. You should probably ask to go solely by Helix.
  • They... you're pretty sure they didn't say anything about not telling people? You want Kat along, emotional support and all that, but you get the feeling showing up with an announced guest wouldn't be a welcomed move.
  • You ask Jeweller if it's okay if you bring Kat but first...
  • Mum said no pets. Then, in a fit of Tinker mania, you went and made a pet. A battle hardened pet, but nonetheless. You can't bring her home. But...
  • "Hey Kat, how do you feel about getting a dog?"

Ask if Kat can come along. No harm in that, as long as you phrase it well, and the answer should give you some basic guidelines.

[3] Silence. There's really no way to respond to that without probably giving the impression you're hiding something or divulging much more than you are willing to share. Instead, you ignore the question, making a show of inspecting your pupper.

  • "...huh. Not actually a bad idea." You had thought that getting somewhere besides your home would be too costly to even consider but you hadn't actually considered just making a new home. That could be a real option.
  • Except the way Kat phrased it - lair - well, uh "I'm not sure I'm that committed to supervillainy," You're not even a supervillain, exactly. Toybox doesn't count, right? It's not, like, drugs and protection rackets. Though having a home away from home does sound like a benefit. Unless you could arrange something with Dodge? You're still not 100% on how Toybox works.
  • Until then... "Would you mind her?"

I change my vote to this. But default my vote to Option 1 Silver if you don't want us voting for all the options.
