They didn’t mean anything by it. They just weren’t interested in watching news stations constantly. Though hearing that universes merged was a new one. They’d have to do research on that later.

After running around the restaurant, serving other customers, and popping in and out of the kitchen, Aimee returned to Stella’s table, a tray and ice tea in hand. She set the glass down. “Here we are, I hope you enjoy!”

Once finished Aqua gently moved the sea creatures off of her as some decided to investigate the new addition to the tank a little further. The mermaid swam towards the surface pulling herself out from the water and on the the platform.

It took her a while to get back down, as she had to dry out her tail to transform back. Finally she managed to meet back up with him "so that's all right?... the filter is all ready to go?" She asked walking over to him.

“No problem! Let me know if you need anything!” She said as she hurried over to another table needing help.
As her shift ended and customers began to disappear, she left to a room in the restaurant labelled ‘Employees Only’, changed out of her uniform apron, and returned to the main area with her backpack in tow.
“Thanks, ‘Tino.” She said to the cook in the back of the kitchen, who warmly handed her a day-old slice of coffee cake that hadn’t been purchased by the customers.
She sighed as she sat down at an empty table tucked away not too far from Stella’s, and began catching up on her studies. She was grateful they let her stay and study, even if it was only during the slow hours.
