Hello, and welcome to Camp Lake Lodge, here we provide services for children who are... quite challenging, troubled, even. For the entire summer, we will take your child off your hands and reform them into functioning members of society. When you pick them up at the end of the summer, you’ll barely recognize them.

Here at Camp Lake Lodge, we pride ourselves on our strict disciplinary actions as students are expected to follow the rules, no matter who they happen to be. Failure to follow said rules or orders given by the camp personnel will result in punishment based on the severity of the crime at hand. Stealing something from a fellow camper will result in kitchen duty, while fighting another camper or member of the camp will result in infinite solidarity, where campers will have adequate time to consider what they have done and how they may make their mistakes right once more.

We believe that all children should have a chance at rehabilitation from a life of hardships and troubles. It is for this reason, the camp has decided to accept students of all genders (i.e: male, female, trans, asexual, etc) within our walls. We are aware of the concern this raises among parents and guardians, but rest assured, we will be closely monitoring campers at all times and shenanigans will not be tolerated. Students caught breaking these rules will be properly dealt with in a timely manner.

It is our pleasure to open our gates to the public once more, and to do whatever we can to help make today’s youth tomorrow’s success story. A camp designed to “rehabilitate” troubled youth. Sounds fun, eh?

Wrong. At Camp Lake Lodge, children from all walks of life from each state in the U.S. are brought together for three months of sheer torture. The camp is nothing compared to how it is advertised to parents, and no amount of letters sent home or complaints filed about maltreatment, there is never enough to have the place properly investigated. Instead, it is up to a small group of campers to band together and survive the camp of nightmares. What does this entail? Oh, I’m glad you asked.

Most days, exclusive to the short weekends, camper are expected and required to go to specific classes, as if in school. Between classes is a designated time where students can mingle and get to know one another. At this time, many students devise plans to push the rules to the limit, or better yet, how to escape this hell hole.

How far will they go before they are caught? Repeat offenders have plenty of experience with this place. They know the ropes, the rule of the roost, they know the ins and outs of the entire camp. They are the ultimate troublemakers, the exact type your parents had warned you against.

HISTORY — Born into a family of socialites, in the city of Albany, New York, Adrienne grew up a loyal and obiedent child, following each and every one of her parents’ strict rules. She was a rather intelligent little girl, and was often praised for her academic achievements. That is, until she reached the fourth grade. She was teased and talked down about her appearance, as she was considered overweight to those around her, and this only grew with her as she went into the sixth grade. Frumpy, greasy, chubby Adrienne. Zitty, dorky, ugly Adrienne. Weak, slow, slobby Adrienne. And when she looked in the mirror, that’s all she saw of herself. An orge looking back at her in the mirror. Her mother and father noticed this spiral soon enough, and did their best to support and enabled their own child to change. She was assigned strict eating regimes, constant exercise, and was left little room to socialize with school in her mind’s eye. Miraculously, she was able to lose thirty pounds in the course of three months, and went on to lose another thirty reaching the six month point. Others at school eased up on her, but still found the time to constantly call her names and pull her hair and kick her kneecaps. And it was all her fault, as Adrienne and her parents believed. Many nights she would be found sobbing in the guest bathroom of their townhouse, holding a sharp object to her wrist, cutting and mourning the loss of what she once had. Then came the night and day moodswings, one moment she would be absolutely fine, the next she would lash out at someone for something innocent that they had done. Her parents only tried to intervene when their own public image began to deteriorate because of what Adrienne would say or do. No matter what they did to fix it, they only ever made it worse. They yelled at her when she refused to eat, only then to be told she would starve and leave the family reputation in the dust. This only caused her to fully rely upon her habits, until one day. Before the summer has started, Adrienne’s parents received a letter from Camp Lake Lodge, informing them that their camp could fix their daughter. They applied to the camp almost immediately, but failed to read the fine print. You’ll barely recognize them.

HISTORY —
Growing up, Constantine was never alone. He was always surrounded by his siblings and father, he did meet his mother up until the youngest of the five children she had was born. He had two older brothers and two younger siblings making him the direct middle child, the third oldest and then there were also two younger than himself. He grew close with his younger brother Reed who had been born without the use of his legs, or rather, he was born with a disease and it had been luckily caught early on. Constantine was constantly looking out for his little brother, as well as his younger sister Silvia, for as long as he could remember. When Reed started losing the use of his legs at a young age and then becoming bedridden, Constantine didn’t know what to do until he found himself joining some athletic events. Constantine older brother Alistar was highly involved with athletics and a ‘fight club’ situation. Constantine has been morphed into a mini version of Alistar, that is before he became a violent mess towards the family. Constantine constantly got into fights at school, out of school, anywhere pretty much. Jinx grew up in a very chaotic home. Her parents were constantly at each other’s throats and she would always hear crying her even hysterical laughter. Being as young as she was when a lot of this happened, she didn’t understand any of it, only having her brother, Jonathan, who was about four years older than her. He was and even still is her anchor, always keeping her down and as calm as he could. He of course understood more than she did, but what the siblings hadn’t known for the longest was their mothers drug and even alcohol abuse. A few years of this had finally escalated into their divorce in her fifth and final year of elementary school. Her father had sat down to speak with her of the following court date, unsure of any of it. It had caused her to grow her well known anxiety of now, dreading the start of the never ending nightmare her parents brought into her life.

A year into middle school, Jinx had come home to find her brother red faced and oddly upset. He had never really let her see him cry, it was rare to even see him. The news given to her was her mother’s death. An overdose they all had seen coming, yet it hurt so much worse than the divorce ever did. Since then, she still has a little trouble coping with it, one of the few reasons they decided to send her off to this odd camp. Of course, she wasn’t really wanting to come, but being forced doesn’t help with your own choices. The other reasons for her reason of coming did happen to be that her depression was becoming more than they could handle, putting her on medication for it, but the anxiety only worsened with this.

Aaliyah grew up in a very small town in Louisiana. She is from a strict Christian family, her father is a pastor and her mother a housewife. She’s the youngest of two girls. Ever since she was a child her parents had high expectations for their daughters. The two of them were mentally abusive to their children. Aaliyah’s sisters were happy to conform to their parents’ ways but Aaliyah was different, making her the their main focus. In the beginning things weren’t so bad. She followed the rules for the most part, attended school, and made good grades. Things changed when she hit her teens and decided that she wanted more freedom. The stress of being the perfect, church girl began to get to her and she tried to talk to her parents about how she felt. Being the people that they are her cries went unheard and instead she was punished. Her parents had managed to turn her sisters against her and so she had no one. Things only worsened when she came out as bisexual. Aaliyah began to not care about the opinions of her family or anyone else because no one would offer her compassion.At the age of fifteen Aaliyah was sent to Camp Lake Lodge. After returning for the first time she seemed like the perfect child and her parents were appeased so they continued to send her. [ brief backstory ]
Chaska grew up in a chaotic home. His father was a drunk, as was his older brother, and the
two of them often teamed up to beat Chaska when they considered he deserved it. His mother
was also a victim of this abuse, and though it tore her heart to pieces, she was too afraid to speak
up and act out. The Browns never had much money, always lived paycheck to paycheck, never quite
able to make ends meet at the end of the month. It wasn't unusual for the household to go without
electricity for a few days before the bill was finally paid. Chaska started committing petty crimes at an
early age; a chocolate bar here, some kid's sandwich from home there, at the time he told himself that
he needed it more than them. Eventually he evolved to more ambitious things like household belongings
and money, it quickly became a game more than necessity.

School was a hell of its own. Puberty came late, and he stayed small for a long time, making him victim to
merciless bullying. Whether it was his hair, the lingering smell of alcohol on his clothes, his secondhand
jeans, or the fact that he found reading particularly challenging. It was the school counselor who discovered
Chaska's dyslexia, and it was the same counselor who called CPS on his parents and sent him into foster care.

Chaska never fully adapted to foster care. He became angry. He instigated fights, he purposely misbehaved at
foster homes as to be sent back, he became a wild card with no sense of security. Everything continued to
escalate until a foster family took him in and resisted his antics. Whether it was finding him passed out drunk
in his room, picking fights with his foster siblings, throwing plates on the floor, whatever the outburst, they didn't
relent. His foster sister was the one to get through to him. She made him understand that his antics were only
hurting himself, and that these foster parents were not going anywhere. From then on, Chaska began to let them
in. He discovered family dinners, attending sports games, helping his little foster brother with homework, he got a
brief taste of what a normal household should be. Until he fucked up.

The details aren't too clear to Chaska, and what he does remember he chooses not to talk about. However, this was
what compelled his foster parents to send him to Camp Lake Lodge. Despite what Chaska believed about the situation,
they refused to believe him and sided with their daughter. So, now he's forced to be here, and he isn't happy about it.

HISTORY(BACKSTORY) Kiara's story is one you've heard a thousand times before. A piss drunk father and a mother too doped up on pills to be responsible for herself, let alone a child. Really, Kiara finds her upbringing so cliche that she wishes she grew up in a normal boring home just so she can have an excuse to complain about mundane things; and would often times throw tantrums just for a sliver attention. It isnt surprising that the girl was forced to grow up faster than her peers, her maturity blossoming at the young age of 11. She started getting into real trouble as soon as middle school rolled around: smoking, drinking, and excessive partying was just the beginning. It wasn't until the girl started bringing pocket knives to school to cut people that got on her nerves that... well... her parents had to take action.

BODY TYPE He’s tall and thin, but definitely pretty fit as he has been physically active throughout his teenage years. While he didn’t play sports like the other boys at his private school, Liam has been playing in bands since he was fifteen and has done his fair share of carrying around equipment and performing trying physical tasks.
HAIR Straight and dark brown. The ends are darker right now because black dye is fading out but his roots have mostly grown back in. You really can only tell in the sunlight.
EYES Dark brown like his hair and telling of his emotional exhaustion almost all the time.

PERSONALITY Liam is a ticking time bomb of emotion and trouble. He goes to great lengths to control his mental health and keep himself together, achieving some feigned reality of a somewhat normal teenage boy. It all falls apart every time. Eventually Liam will spiral back down into a darkness that neither he nor those around him can predict or understand. Depths of strange anxieties and depression and a severe fear of the uncertainty of life. When this happens, Liam lashes out in ways he often times regrets and is completely ashamed of. So many of his outbursts have turned violent toward others, which is one of the primary concerns of his parents when they sent in an application for their son to the camp.
While he is mostly introverted, Liam does like to have a close circle of friends, but struggles with trusting others or even himself enough to get too close.

HISTORY: Liam was in and out of the system until he was seven, as a result he has no idea who his birth parents are. At that age, he was adopted by a couple with no other children. They were incredibly kind and Liam was made to feel welcome from the very start.
But it never felt right. The big house, the loving extended family, the showers of gifts and attempts of affection. It was nothing like the life he had known and he craved some familiarity.
His new parents were heavily involved in a small church in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Liam had to attend every Sunday morning throughout his childhood and preteen years. He made one really good friend there, a kid named Tyler.
Tyler was a rebel, he stayed in trouble for being disruptive in sunday school and he was even more trouble at their actual school. Liam clung to him throughout that time in his life because Tyler made him feel brave. Liam had still not learned to fend for himself, and he couldn’t figure out how to fit in with all the other normal kids who had grown up in stable homes. More than that, Tyler was familiar, trouble and unpredictability were familiarities that brought him comfort.
Liam’s parents dropped a bomb on him when he was thirteen by telling him they were moving to Atlanta, Georgia. Away from everything he was used to in Pennsylvania. Right after he had finally found some comfort in his new life.
At first Liam hated Atlanta, but he hated most of all being away from Tyler who he had secretly developed a crush on. He tried to let it go and make new friends in his private school, but it never worked out. When he got a little older he started hanging around some of the kids from local public schools and discovered his greatest love in life: music. Liam started playing guitar when he was fifteen, and it has been the only consistent thing in his personal life. Many other interests and friends and crushes have come and gone, but music has stayed unfailingly by his side.
After involving himself in a few bands, Liam was opened up to a world of mind altering substances and drama that would forever rock his world in the worst way possible. He got in real legal trouble right before his sixteenth birthday and was taken into custody. That was when the screaming match with his parents happened and they swore that if he didn’t get a grip, they would take more serious action.
Liam ignored their warnings, and continued down a path of vices and whatever he could do to make himself feel “right.”
One day, Tyler contacted him through social media to see how life had been since they were separated by the move. They started talking every day, and Liam fell even more in love with his childhood friend than he had ever thought possible.
Tyler had feelings for him, too, so he had said.
Then it happened, Tyler got a girlfriend and he didn’t tell Liam. Liam found out through social media and confronted his best friend about it, but Tyler blocked him off of everything and refused to respond.
That was when Liam went completely off the rails, and how he ended up at the camp for the first time now that he is seventeen.
