Name: Zach Patton

Gender: Male
Appearance Notes: Zach has full tattoo sleeves on each arm, and both ears are fully pierced.
Personality: Zach, though he does enjoy the company of others, would much rather spend time with his guitars than with people. He's normally pretty quiet, and spends most of his time watching and judging others. Because of that, he can come off as kind of an asshole. He's not the kind of person to sugarcoat his opinions of people.
Ability: Electricity generation and manipulation.
Limitations: Zach has to build up a charge, so his ability isn't immediate. He pulls energy from existing electricity sources, so the fewer energy sources he has nearby, the weaker his abilities are. He also can't use too much at one time, or he risks shocking himself into unconsciousness.
Drawbacks: Zach's shock attacks aren't easily controlled, and as such he can accidentally chain the attack to other targets he didn't intend on. Because of that he tends to limit his attacks to touch, instead of launching lightning at enemies, which drastically limits his range. He also takes the full brunt of his own attacks whenever he uses them, so fighting for too long tends to wear him out even though he's grown used to his own electricity.
Preferred Tactic: Incapacitation.
Background: Zach's always been a kind of 'black sheep' with any group he was a part of, even his own band, the 'Mourning Report'. The band was fairly successful, and Zach was able to keep his ability in check, for the most part. However, he unleashed his power when a drunken fan hurled a beer bottle at his head one night while his band was playing. The bottle shattered and blinded his right eye, causing him to go into a rage. He let loose with lightning on the front half of the crowd, fatally injuring four people and blowing the building's power at the same time. He used that distraction to get away, but was captured soon after and sent to the Academy. This is his second year at the school, and he still doesn't feel like he belongs.

Other: To increase his attack range, he carries what's known as a 'smiley'. A long length of chain, with a padlock on the end of it for weight.
