  ong has the animosity between races been festering. We're greedy and unkind, a force beyond nature that takes what they want when they want. Both Beast and Man feel the wrath of our foolishness. We should have seen it coming. In our haste to destroy each other, we have scorched the land and broken all hope of a future.
  
  It's been 5 years since the race war came to a halt. It hasn't felt like very long at all. Trees are burnt and the earth still doesn't grow what everyone needs, but most agree that famine is better than war. Your home continent of Aesren is finally starting to go back to the way it was before the conflict, though slowly, and you are headed off to the country's finest acadamy, Atlaysia. It is one of the few schools left untouched from the conflicts and later consequences, the only multi-race school to exist on the continent.
  
  Both Beast-men and Mages go to this college to refine their inherent epithets, butting heads with their respective rivals and learning with their friends like any other person would.
  
  But Atlaysia still falls into the prejudice like many other places of Aesren, meaning well, Were-Beasts get the short end of the stick. But that's how it's always gone, the mages subjugate the beasts and the beasts live as the commoners would. It isn't in the Beast's nature to stay quiet or let others win and It isn't in the Mage's nature to lose or concede their position.

  Were-Beast forms are all some type of predator, they're beasts for a reason. They tend to be more aggressive than humans and often have beast traits even in human form, such as horns or tails. This is set in a medieval setting with human nobility, mana usually runs in noble families so you're free to choose a rank if you wish.   Val has a striking figure intimidating but undeniably soft, though strong. She often has a big grin on her maw, which tends to scare mages who aren't used to her sharp teeth. Her hair is wild and fluffy, more like a tangle of fur than any human's hair. Val's eyes are striking, a bright amber orange with splotches of bright blue in them, across one of them, lays a long thin scar almost invisible unless you're looking for itit. A pair of perky ears sit high on her head and match the tail she wields.   Val's beast form is long and lanky, standing at almost 8 and a half feet tall when on her hind legs and sports 3 pairs of white wings on her back, a pair of crecent horns on her forehead give the regal being and eatheral look. She is noticeably more animal-like then many other beasts, preferring to be on all fours. Val's snout is sharp and looks more fox-like then anything, her ears are long and very expressive.   In her youth Val was very different from what she is now, her hair was stark white and her eyes completely blue, there was no darkening on her limbs, she still had a uniquely beast like appearance. Her beast form was also greatly different in childhood and teen years, lacking her distinctive cresent horns and didn't have any wings until teenagehood.     Valenthia was born in the city of Werspe, her parents struggled to keep her and her older sister afloat, eventually abandoning them, she was too young to even remember their faces. She often went hungry and cold but managed to survive in the harsh cities day by day, begging and pleading for the humans to gift her food. Her sister resented this life, turning to theft and other unsavory means to try and get them a better life, Val didn't blame her but she never minded the treatment she got.     By the time she was 13 she knew why her sister was so angry, she had become less of a puppy and more of a monster. None would give her a scrap of meat and she suffered for their greed, her sibling decided that she was old enough that they could travel. an attempt to make it to one of the were-cities. It would be dangerous to cross the barenfoodless land, but it was better then staying where they would starve anyways.
    
    She and her sister travel for long days until a year had passed on their journey. They were nowhere near somewhere they would be assured to be safe. So they settled. Into a small nameless town south of the Atlaysia academy. Val's sister found work and soon they had a small place to themselves, the most any were-beast could do for themself.     At age 15 Valenthia was accepted in her first academy. One after the other she honed her skills the best she could going through many different schools and gaining quite a bit of infamy for her ability to find out secrets and get into places she should be.
    
    She waited patiently until the very day she turned 18, the day she could start applying to go to Atlaysia, a chance to live a good life. It seemed the college also had their eye on the local prodigy and almost immediately recruited her, for her talent in combat, debate, and general smartness.   Personality

  Lelia is a rather odd girl when you first meet her, especially for a Etherian mage. She isn't very soft or optimistic, she's rather cold, quiet, and standoff-ish. Due to her upbringing, she doesn't trust many people, she has some residual paranoia about the world and tries to keep others from getting close enough to hurt her. She usually has a serious and sometimes upset look on her face, quickly looking away and avoid other people's gazes. Everything is an act she forces herself to have, behind close doors she is kind, caring, and sweet. It might take some work to get through it but once Lelia starts to open up, you start to see her genuine personality and how fiercely loyal she is to those who gain her trust. When it comes to romance, she is very unexperience with genuine interest towards her which result in her being flustered and unsure of how to react, usually blushing and stuttering until she is able to get away or whoever is flirting with her stops.

• Past History:

  Lelia was born from 'selective breeding' to put it into simple terms. Her mother was born with an emblem on her hands and when she was finally old enough to bare children, she was quickly married off to a husband of a higher class to bring the family wealth and status. Lelia was the youngest of five and the one who is blame for causing her mother's death. Her father was bitter about this and treated her harshly because of it. To his displeasure, none of his children seemed to carry their mother's emblem sigil. He treated them all roughly and was a cold man to them despite their accomplishments, especially Lelia. It was no surprise when his children started to rebel against him and cause trouble all around Mersmor. Their family name started to gain an ill reputation.
  
  When Lelia was about thirteen, she was married off to rich man twenty years her senior. He treated her like a housemaid, hurting her, and berated everything she did. More than once Lelia tried to run away but was brought back to him, that was until The Scorching. Her husband was among the last mages sent to fight the beast of flames. He did not survive. Lelia was widowed and sent back to live with her father.

  
  
  

  Present History:

  Life back at her father's wasn't easy but she could easily escape his attention and go off on her own, not that he cared. Lelia started to hone her skills in hopes of being accepted into the local boarding academy, her father was all too happy to send her away and she was as well...That was until she actually attended, it seemed rumor spread about Lelia. It started with being widowed at such a young age and grew from there, adding her mother's death and actions of her older siblings in the community. Lelia felt she couldn't runaway from her past and so she did what she needed to and built up a barrier against everyone around her. She kept her head down and kept going, which resulted well for her, her intelligence and skills were recognized in the form of an acceptance letter to Atlaysia.
