Age: 611

Mental Age: 16-18

Gender: Female

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual.

Q: Regular or Irregular? ->A: Regular.

Species : Princess. Formerly human.

Personality: Straightforward and blunt. Murin says things as she sees it and doesn’t hold anything back. Why would she have to bother with lies when she’s a princess? In that sense, she is a fairly honest person. Honorable as well. Murin would never attack an opponent while their back was turned. Nor would she betray those she’s made an alliance with. Acting in such an evil manner, giving up on one’s true self/friends to climb, resorting to trickery…all of that is a sign of weakness in her eyes. And Murin has unshakable confidence in herself and her own strength.

That doesn’t mean that she won’t acknowledge her own defeats. It simply means that giving up isn’t in her dictionary. Unlike most other princesses, Murin is hardworking and has a strong sense of duty. She’s also very determined about getting her way to the point where she can be described as prideful and stubborn. Murin is somewhat vain, in the sense that she judges things by their appearances. However, the trait that makes her stand out among the other princesses is Murin’s greediness. Even though she’s a princess, Murin is frugal with her spending and and a miser. She always seems to want more even though as a princess, Murin had already been given a large sum of wealth. This is due to Murin’s poor upbringing prior to receiving a portion of Zahard’s power. She haggles with shopkeepers, hoards her wealth, spends carefully, and always seems to be itching for more. Old habits are hard to get rid of.

Even after all the years of becoming a princess, she still finds it hard to call Zahard her father and the other princesses her sisters. While she is loyal to the Zahard Empire, she still considers the Yongsung Dojo to be her real home. She also dislikes Enryu and blames him for the misfortune of the Yongsung Family.

Positions: Fisherman(mainly), Defender(sometimes), Anima(after receiving the ‘Coil of the Dragon’ from her biological father)

Affiliation:
Zahard Empire, though she is friends with a couple of Wolhaiksong members…including her sister Yuri Zahard.

Abilities and skills:

  • Martial Arts Master—Having trained at her father’s dojo in the 43rd floor since childhood, she eventually surpassed her father and became the master of the Yongsung dojo after inheriting the ‘Coil of the Dragon’. Her style of fighting bears similarities to Shaolin kung fu and incorporates lots of powerful kicks, punches, throws, and sweeps. Hand to hand combat is her forte, though she’s been known to use staffs and swords in combat as well.
  • Proficient swordsmanship—She experienced with wielding swords and has practiced using Spirit Fang, being able to ignite it a wield efficiently. She’s nowhere near close enough to be the best swordsmen in the tower, but having the strength of Zahard makes up for anything she lacks. She’s was also tutored by members of Arie family before entering the tower.
  • The blood of Zahard—After receiving a portion of Zarhard’s power, Murin gained immense physical capabilities and heals faster than a normal person. Normally fatal injuries don’t kill her. In addition, all the skills that she had before becoming a Princess were greatly enhanced. Her punches and kicks generate shockwaves.
  • Very high Shinsoo Resistance—It was already decent as a child, but after receiving the blood of the irregular Zahard…yeah. Let’s just say there’s a reason she’s been asked to be a defender.
  • Advanced Shinsoo manipulation—She mainly uses the flow control to reinforce her body. Murin can use it to strengthen/harden certain her muscles/skin/bones, speed her reactions, control her metabolism, and even enhance her senses. However, her shinsoo manipulation is such that she can also reinforce or weaken the bodies of others. By sending her shinsoo into them, via physical contact, she can disrupt the shinsoo flow of her targets, limit their movements, strength, and senses. Alternatively, Murin can enhance these physical qualities in her targets as well. The techniques she uses to do this are called Heaven’s Black Curse and Earth’s White Blessing respectively. They fall under branches of shinsoo techniques having to do with body manipulation taught in her dojo. Murin is excellent at reading and controlling the shinsoo within living bodies.
  • The Coil of the Dragon(tattoo on her arm)—A spell of domination that’s been passed down from her family for generations. Said to be a gift from the guardian of the 43rd floor to her ancestor before its death by the hands of Enryu, it gives her the ability to subjugate/charm all creatures that have a lesser willpower than her own. Essentially she can force her victims into a contest of dominance. She mostly uses it against Shinheuh, since they have less resistance against it, but theoretically the spell works on all sentient beings. However, should she use it on an opponent with a stronger willpower than her, the spell will reverse on her. It glows golden when activated.

Weapons (if any) +their capabilities:

  • Spirit Fang--> A fairly normal looking katana that was forged and refined by the soul of the Yongsung founder. It’s a D-rank weapon that becomes A-rank when ignited. The blade glows crimson and can cut souls, leaving the victim’s physical body undamaged.

History:

Born on the 43rd floor, the floor of death, Murin Yongsung’s life has known battle since childhood. Her family had existed in the 43rd floor long before the guardian’s death. The Yongsung Dojo had been famous back then. A place for Regulars and Rankers alike to learn the Yongsung Style of martial arts, train, discipline, themselves, and become stronger. The Masters of the Yongsung Dojo have always been Rankers, some even high Rankers, and the descendants of the Yongsung Family were respected for their fighting prowress. They’d been the chosen Rulers of the 43rd Floor. However, everything changed when Enryu climbed the tower.

After the 43rd floor guardian’s death, the Yongsung name lost all of its notoriety and their right to rule vanished. The 43rd floor became a floor of death…a lawless area. Members of family tried to keep order, but were killed in the process. They lost everything, their fame, their wealth, and their power. The Yongsung Dojo became forgotten over the years, as the occupants that had once lived in the 43rd floor left. In their place came criminals who wanted to exploit the area uncontrolled by Zahard--people who wanted to control shinsoo freely without restraint. The Dojo lost all of its disciples and became riddled with debt. No one in the Yongsung family had been chosen to enter the tower for centuries. This was the world that Murin Yonsung was born to.

As the eldest child of her family, Murin was trained to eventually take over the Yongsung Dojo. The young girl proved to be a prodigy. Within a decade or so, Murin surpassed her father in skill, inheriting the Coil of the Dragon and the Spirit Fang and became head of the Yongsung family. She defeated all those who challenged their dojo. However, that wasn’t enough to rid the family of their debt and restore the Yongsung dojo to the way it was. So Murin decided that in order to help her mother and her younger brothers, she would have to discard her name and become a Princess of Zahard. Her father was against it. He told her if he wanted to leave, she would have to defeat him and give up being the head of the family.

So she did. Murin joined the competition to become Princess a century later. It had been a cutthroat selection, especially when her opponents were girls of the 10 families, but with her determination and talent, she carved her way into the position. Thus Murin Yongsung received a portion of Zahard's strength and became Murin Zahard. With her new position, she was able rid her family’s debts and pave the way for the revival of the Yongsung Dojo. She enjoyed a life of luxury that she'd never experienced before. Even though she was no longer a Yongsung, and could no longer provide an heir to continue the line, her ascension brought fame to the Yongsung family.

But that wasn’t enough. Murin wanted to restore 43rd floor to the way it was. To return her family’s position as the Rulers of the 43rd floor and bring back order to the lawless floor. And to do that she needed to become a Ranker. With the title of Princess, Ranker, and possibly a 13th month weapon, Murin was certain she could reclaim 43rd floor for the Zahard Empire. So when Murin was chosen to be regular by Headon, she climbed the tower with the goal of re-starting the 43rd floor tests and finding a new guardian.

She was last seen on the 80th as the strongest B-rank regular. Her next test won't start until another 5 years...so she's "training".
