This nickname was given to him however after the Battle of the Broken Mountain when the side he was fighting under as a mercenary was ordered to make a charge up the side of a opening in the cliffs of the mountain, and he was the only survivor of the suicidal attack. As the dust cleared and the fires calmed....they saw him....

Eats meat but has a soft spot for fried vegetables. Has never had human flesh. Eating a enemy is disrespectful. You should kill them, but you should also respect the humans who were brave enough to stand against you.

Masamune is known as calm and quiet. His voice is deep, low, yet soft. He rarely yells. To him, silence is golden and often, you can tell more by showing then telling so he doesn't speak unless he has something important to say. Idle chit chat is often confusing for him. While he dislikes humans, he does not commit endless slaughter against them. He is of course a yokai and on the yokai side of the conflict, but is known to be one of the more neutral minded of his kind meaning he is not pointlessly cruel. He follows through on deals and does not break his word unless it's incredibly important to do so. He is more of a solitary individual and has few friends even amongst his own kind. He's one of the last 9-Tailed Kitsune alive, but he does not associate with the others. He was exiled from his own kind many years ago. Is known to work alone though will often serve as a mercenary but only for a promise of a single favor once his contract is up. He dislikes most other yokai but not all...dislikes all humans....is known to stare blankly in the distance and ignore people. always remembering the day when everything was okay...then he remembers when it all went wrong. Maybe he seeks peace? Maybe he seeks death? Maybe both?


History -


Masamune was born of a 9-Tailed Kitsune called Lord Eto and a 6-Tailed Kitsune called Lady Mana in a small village. Both were killed before Masamune gained his first full tail for reasons he never knew. He stayed within the Kitsune lands to the east of where the sun rises and was happy of course. The King of Kitsune, Lord Sotetsu Mishima, a 9-Tailed Kitsune himself was assassinated and this threw the lands of the Kitsune in turmoil and civil war. Many different 9-Tailed Kitsune raised armies of loyal Kitsune followers and waged war with each other to be King of the Kitsune...and thousands died in the fighting that lasted for over 300 years. Masamune himself fought in the war, and when it ended, he was a 5-Tailed Kitsune, and he had fought many battles, learned the way of the sword. By then however, many 9-Tailed Kitsune had died, and now the numbers of 9-Tailed were in the single digits. the Kitsune to come out on top and be named King was 9-Tailed Kitsune Gempachi Ikkattatsu who took his rule in the palace in the Kitsune land Capitol Kakage City.


Masamune was made a Lower General when rumors of his skills reached the new King's ears. He was a brilliant strategist and this earned him favor with King Gempachi as well. Masamune earned the nickname of The Lonely Blade during this Kitsune civil war in the Battle Of The Broken Mountain when he was a 3-Tailed Kitsune at the time. However, news of another civil war was brewing soon. Masamune by now was a General of King Gempachi's. His closest friends were siblings Ryoko Tsurimi, a 4-Tailed Kitsune and Ryutaro Tsurimi, a fellow 5-Tailed Kitsune who served as his Lieutenants who called Masamune "Eto" as a nickname only they used in respect for Masamune's deceased father. Masamune and Ryoko were also lovers. Someone leaked a false rumor that Masamune was leading the soon-to-be rebellion against King Gempachi, and Gempachi believed the rumor and ordered all of Masamune's loyal followers executed, and then Masamune would be imprisoned for eternity so he could suffer for treachery.


Realizing he had been falsely accused, Masamune tried to reason with King Gempachi who still attacked. Masamune still being only a 5-Tailed Kitsune at the time was no match for 9-Tailed King Gempachi who defeated him and Masamune fled. He led a resistance against King Gempachi with his Lieutenants and close friends, Ryoko and Ryutaro, that lasted for two short years. At the end, Ryoko his lover and Ryutaro his best friend had been killed as well as 4 out of every 5 Kitsune he had commanded, and most fled and deserted Masamune after the Battle of the Bloody River where Masamune lost Ryoko and Ryutaro and nearly his entire army in defeat against King Gempachi and he survived and fled. King Gempachi decided not to pursue him, but exiled him. Masamune was forbidden to ever return to his homeland. King Gempachi was eventually assassinated later on and the Kitsune plunged themselves into another civil war, and Masamune doesn't know who is the new King of Kitsune now or if there even is one. He wandered the lands, serving as a mercenary for hire and earning the nickname "Blackheart" for his ruthless tactics and lack of mercy to his enemies. "No surrender, No retreat" became his motto. Fight or die.


After a while, when he became a 9-Tailed Kitsune, he became officially called The Shadow Fox Of The East.


When the war against humans began once more, Masamune decided maybe it was an opportunity to re-invent himself once again.     Kuro has lived a long time so she finds the world around her to be her playground. So she plays with those around her as if they're toys or a game she's playing. Usually those she plays with doesn't end up in a good way - especially when she's enjoying herself then there's no hope in hiding her sadistic side. To those she meets she comes off as a seductive woman who just wants to have a fun time but it's all an act to lure people in. Because of her experience in the world she doesn't take anything serious and rarely gets mad; frustrated yes but mad? No. Whenever she gets mad she goes berserk sometimes even involuntarily going in her fox form to reek havoc. Since being locked in Borehl her personality has become darker and her games more sadistic. More so since she hasn't played with a human in a long time and demons just aren't the same for her.

    Kuro grew up with five siblings, one older brother, one younger brother and two younger sisters. Their mother died while giving birth the last girl. Even so she enjoyed life with her siblings and due to her life she enjoyed life with humans. Yes they were such ephemeral beings but they provided her with no end of amusement with their running around and their little problems. She often played little tricks on them. Even then the humans were good natured and the town she frequented worshipped her as a diety. As the years went by her tricks became bigger deadlier as the number of tails she possessed grew. For a Kitsune, the more tails you possessed the stronger you became. Unfortunately she was at 5 tails and the villagers had had enough and hired some hunters to kill her and her family. Their older brother was away so it was up to her to protect them and in the end it was so easy that she got the taste for it. For years and years she's tormented humans with her "games", more often then not, killing them.
    
    
    It all came to a stop when the Youkai were sealed in Borehl, including her and and her family. Her brother went missing and the rest of of her siblings were killed by other Youkai. She would would of would of died too but the deaths if her siblings - the only good thing about her - caused her to go berserk, earning her another tail. She blacked out and and woke up with pieces of them all around her and a meaty taste in her mouth.
    
    
    Since that moment she lost all her compassion. She assumed her brother was dead and focused only in herself. She preyed on the Youkai like a cat. Whoever caught her attention would be toyed with until her "playing" killed them or she got bored and "broke" them intentionally. Over time she gained two more tails bringing her to 8. She figured her diet - which included a few Youkai - was the cause of thar.
    
    
    She floated through life, giving into self indulgence until she was approached by a powerful Youkai who asked her if she wanted to return to the human world; to get revenge for being locked in this hellhole. Kuro had only laughed. A distant thought dwelled on the her family who had died centuries ago.     But he found companionship in his attendant, a young boy named Rhama, who idolized his master, and he fell in love with Rhama's older sister. They were the only two people he ever really cared for, and were the only ones to ever make him smile. But then war came again and Shagaksha was called to arms once more. Before heading into battle, he took Rhama's sister in attempts to take her somewhere safe. But as they fled, they unfortunately met an enemy squadron who let loose their arrows on the two. Shagaksha survived but Rhama's sister died. His hatred reached its peak as Shagaksha killed the enemy soldiers and the pain in his shoulder flared greater than ever before when he heard a voice of malevolence inside him. This voice then ripped itself free, revealing itself to be the source of the pain in Shagaksha's shoulder. This voice was Hakumen no Mono.
    
    
    Hakumen revealed it was once a formless darkness that desired a body. By coincidence it found Shagaksha as an infant and made him its host. Inside Shagaksha, Hakumen feeded and gestated on the man's unbridled hatred, which became its flesh and blood. In other words

    As he could not die, he wandered Asia, seeking a way to take his revenge on Hakumen for 400 year. Eventually he became a yokai, the first of its kind that came to be known as Azafuse. He forgot his human life and became known as Nagatobimaru.     One day, monks found a small baby wrapped up in a small basket with three items, a staff, a circlet, and a note written in Gaelic. The note, when translated, said "Our Lost Child will one day grow into a great person, please teach him the skills he will need"
    
    
    Cale was told that is where his name came from, the Gaelic words for Lost Child. The Circlet was resting around his head and the staff was resting on top of him. When the Monks tried to move the staff, they found it impossible, as if it'd been weighed down by powerful weights, though when they attempted to move the basket, it was as if there was no extra weight.
    
    
    As long as the staff was touching the child, it could be moved.
    
    
    Being kind people, the took the child in and raised him in their ways. From an early age, he was found to possess a talent for the Martial Arts, especially when he held the staff. Through studying, the found out exactly what the two objects were. They were the signature items of the Monkey King, Sun Wukong. The Circlet grew as he did and the staff could only be wielded by him. If anyone else attempted to lift it, the weight would be impossible.
    
    
    On his tenth birthday, something amazing happened. He went from a small, happy child, to a fully grown man, somewhere in his late thirties or early forties, muscled from years of training. The staff even changed to suit the much more powerful body. He laughed at their amusement and let his long tail hold the staff as he began explaining exactly what had happened.
    
    
    This boy had the spirit of the Monkey King and as such had the ability to release the full powers of said being, even at a young age. However, the magic was unstable and would eventually destroy the boy's body. The Monkey King didn't want this, being a kind-hearted being, and needed the monks to help him reseal it. With the seal, the boy would live normally and eventually grow into the form they now saw, slowly coming into his powers.
    
    
    The monks agreed and with his help, returned the boy to his original form. However, the energy of Sun Wukong couldn't be contained and naturally drew the attention of Yokai. To battle them, the Monks taught him the Incantation to temporarily release the seal should he encounter a foe he could not beat.
    
    
    With this incantation, he lived a relatively normal life, dealing with the Yokai that attacked him on occasion. He found that not all Yokai were evil, just as not all humans were good. But with a happy disposition, even the darkest moments were handled well.

  Despite it's obvious strength and abilities, his Sun Wukong form is not to be taken lightly. This form can only be used up to a maximum of twice a day and only for a period of forty five minutes. Any more would weaken the seal and possibly even kill Cale. He normally only uses this form in emergencies.
  
  
  Even when not in his Sun Wukong form, he can use a few of the abilities, such as creating a protective circle against Yokai or enhancing his base strength and speed to fight them. He can even use a technique to view evil, though it causes his eyes to burn as if being afflicted with smoke.
  
  
  Cale regrets that he can't use the abilities of the Mythos of the Monkey King. It was said that he could shape shift into 72 different forms as well as change the hairs on his body into other forms, inanimate or otherwise, or even control the very weather to create storms.
  
  
  Even his transformed state doesn't possess these abilities. However, he does possess special incantations that protect him from fire and let him dive incredible depths. In this form, he also has a spell to allow him to open any lock.

Growing up, she rarely visited the world outside of the organization, Tokyo was a foreign place to her even though she was raised there. It left a bittersweet feeling but allowed her imagination to wander.
  
  
  What was the outside world like? Was it a place like the books always describe it as? Was it a romantic place where one could bump into their one true love? Kyoko always dreamed of visiting a cafe and meeting the person she would spend the rest of her life with. Unfortunately, Kyoko's high expectations of the world outside of the training center was destroyed when she was sent out on her first mission.
  
  
  She was only fourteen when she was given her first mission with three other yokai hunters. It was supposed to be low risk, just a exterminate some low power yokai without attracting too much attention. She had been training as a monk for all her life, this was an easy challenge. Nothing too serious. However, a violent tsukumogami turned 100 on that day. No one had known about it. As a result, Kyoko's left arm and leg were permanently scarred by fire.
  
  
  Luckily, Kyoko had a quick recovery unlike one of her teammates, who was hospitalized for months. She covered her burn scars with bandages and kept on training as a yokai hunter. Besides, it's not like she could back out or quit. This was her life. She couldn't go anywhere else nor was she allowed to so Kyoko stayed with the organization and trained as a shaman, proving to be a very skilled one as well.

History: Kriestien was a holy foreign warrior that journeyed to japan from the west, hearing that they were beset by demons. He brought with him blessed armor and weapons, as well as his own skills. He fought side by side with the ancient warriors that first fought the demons. In these battles he proved his might with his massive greatsword and his bow, proving to be the equal of many greater Yokai, or demons as he stubbornly continued to call them. He heard of the great blacksmith's plan to seal the Yokai. Hearing of this blacksmith's great power, he requested the blacksmith to do one thing. Turn him into the ultimate weapon against demons. The blacksmith granted his request, enchanting him with immortality and an aura of fear.


After the demons were sealed, Kriestien was used against any especially powerful Yokai stragglers, as he was regarded as the best bet against them. He eventually gained a reputation in both the organization and the stragglers. To the stragglers he was regarded as a hunter that refuses to die no matter what, who will pursue you to the ends of the world. To the Organization his appearance is the sign that there is a very strong Yokai that must be dealt with. He gained his nicknames then. Kriestien has served with the organization as one of, if not the best hunter to this day.


Powers:

• Completely immortal. Stabbed through the heart? He'll just keep walking. Chop off his head? Will eventually reattach it. Diced into tiny bits? Will eventually reform.
  
• Aura of fear. Any Yokai or other supernatural creatures who recognize him will immediately be unsettled and even scared. Perhaps because of their supernatural senses, they can tell that he is something to be feared.
  

Weaknesses:

• Immortality and fear is his only power. Other then that his abilities are that of a normal human, who must depend upon his own skills, his weapons, and any allies.
  
• Dismemberment will slow him down. Though he will still make attempts to kill any yokai unless his head is removed, he will be significantly weakened by losing his limbs, particularly his arms.
  
• Injuries still hurt.
  
• Aura of fear can be resisted. Though the effects cannot be completely banished, they can be lessened. For example, strong Yokai meets Kriestien, Yokai is affected by aura, Yokai resists aura. Yokai is still scared but not cripplingly so.

Personality: Rei is pretty soft-spoken, and tries to avoid most conflict. She used to be pretty submissive until she got her second mouth, which she actually got a bit more aggressive when learning to deal with the mouth. She named is Ren and while she is polite most of the time, Ren is vulgar, and rude. Its voice sounds like Rei’s so sometimes it will “talk” for her. She’s very naïve, and can be a bit trusting at time too.


History: Rei was a normal human as most of her kind start out. She was very poor though and her family struggled to keep food on the table. This led to long periods where Rei would be on the brink of starving. As the legends about futakuchi onna are though, one day she started to notice teeth growing in on the back of her head, under her hair. She tried to ignore is, but eventually it grew into a full on mouth. It started to demand food, screaming when she wouldn’t feed it. It controlled her hair like arms and would take what food they had, and attack her if she tried to cut it. This causes Rei to run away at the age of 16. Knowing that her new “problem” would only cause her family to starve more because of how much Ren needed to eat.


Eventually she came to an agreement with the mouth. It would stop demanding so much from her. Or she would go out into the woods and starve them both.
