"C'mon, take a walk with me."

Description:

Yasei is always seen wearing bland clothes with light, pale colors, before topping the outfit off with his signature scarf, a vibrant red waving thing that often seems to be the only thing that brings color to his attire. His natural hair color isn't known by most, as it seems to change every few months and none of the colors he choose seem to fit him. Protruding from the sides of his head are two short, stubby black horns akin to that of depictions of demons in media, although these fail to come to a point and end in flat stump. Besides this, his eye's are another anomaly. The sclera has been inverted, now a pitch black compared to the normal white. His iris has turned amber in color, similar to a felines, with the pupil transitioned to pitch black as well.

True Form

"Na, nana boo boo!  Come die with me! We'll dine in HELL!"

Description:

In this form, Yasei retains many of his human features, although the changes are major enough to be noticed immediately. For one, his hair will begin to lighten in color and tone until it turns into a nigh stark white, settling around a greyish color. The amber in his irises also turns white and his horns begin to grow out slightly before jutting up at a sharpened point. Besides this, there are very few physical differences between the two assumed forms.

Yasei's Spirit Power is that of the protective variety, which is strange taking his feeling compelled to harm into account. The power is simply summoning a barrier, barely capable of producing enough cover to shield him from projectiles. in the immediate area around him. Despite it's abilities and uses seeming to come to an end hear, it has a versatility that, at the moment, is completely unknown to Yasei. With his limited training, the barriers can only be manifested in one of two shapes: a small rectangle that stretches up to five feet across and just four feet up or a larger rectangle that stretches up five feet and only two across.

Strengths: (3)

During his life time, Yasei quickly learned to surpress his emotions, perticularly any thatcould trigger a 'transformation', and therefore has a vast amount of self-discipline and self control. He has also begun to pratice his  swordsmanship, quite partial to larger swords, trading off brute force and mobility for a wider attack range. Also, his monster blood grants him a minor enhancement to his strength, although this boost is monstrous when taking normal humans into account. The most prominent boost lies in his sturdy frame, being much more durable than many Adepts his year.

Weaknesses: (2)

Yasei, despite his control over his urges, is still suspectible to them, much more so when being continuously tempted by those that have already given in to the power of the monsters that plauge the world, or in the presence of an exceptionally strong monster. He is also quite slower than most other Adept's due to the weight of his weapons. Due to having quite litterally just started practicing the craft of swordsmanship, almost anyone with basic knowledge on the usage could be him with little effort.

Personality:

Yaesi can only be described as a slacker, preferring to stay in solitude and away from others to avoid an 'incident'. A simple explation coming from him to explain his reclusive tendencies is his inability to kill someone while asleep. He can often be highly tempermental, especially when the topic of his life before the academy is brought up. He has no interest in many things any teenage boy would find themselves doing and often just sleeps the day away in his isolated room on campus or studies. He is often seen as rude for his blunt and uncaring way of speaking, but is quick to attempt to make ammends. Besides this, there is very little to know about him in terms of personality.

True Form

During a true form transformation, Yaesi's negative qualities, specifically the ones caused by his monster, are increased ten fold and any scrap of humanity and sanity is thrown out the window. He enters a state where all he cares about is the deaths of all those around him and the feel of their blood on his body. He becomes very childish in this state, although often in a way where things are very likely to go very wrong. Basically a cranky toddler with inhumane strength and sturdiness, easily capable of trumping most when it comes to a battle of might, as well as an innate desire to harm. His sense of humour becomes very twisted during this time, broken bones and screams of agony, even his own, suddenly becoming hilarious to him.

History:

The story of Yasei actually starts with his mother, a year two Adept enrolled in Esprit, and a trek into monster territory with righteous intentions. Unfortunately for her, there was a monster in particular who's intentions were much less so. In fact, the only thing on his mind was spreading his seed as far as he could. Luckily for him, he'd found a suitable mate, strong and defiant until the end. The unlucky woman, Yasei's mother, fought with all she had, but ultimately failed in her attempts to fell the beast. Without going into detail, she narrowly escaped with her life after the event, although some things were made damaged and remained that way. She stumbled her way back into town before collapsing under the strain of her iinjuries, only to be found some time later by a passing ambulance. Awakening and having the story of her rescue told by a friendly nurse, the woman dryly added that she only wished such luck had found her earlier. She told no one of her encounter with the beast and left it as not even a distant memory, but as a feverish dream brought on by her wounds. She told herself this over and over again, but there was no mistaking it. As the days turned into weeks and weeks to months, it'd become obvious she just couldn't fake like nothing happened. The monster had gotten her pregnant and accomplished his goal.

He'd the first moster who'd manage to get his seed past the shadows and into Royal City.

Everyone she knew was curious of who the father was, as she had no known significant other. She told everyone the same thing; she'd been artificially inseminated. She never missed a beat in her story. It was always the same, with no plotholes or inconsistencies. She'd decided it was best to settle down and forget her adventurous ways. What better way than to have a child, by none of the weak and soft man she knew in her life? While she appeared happy and bubbling with excitement, dangerous waters were churning inside. There was a beast inside of her. A monster. The kind she'd fought so hard to get rid of, but... different. It was of her and by her, but it was no different. It needed to be purged and ridded of this world. She'd already made up her mind.

The day her child came, she would strangle him with his own umbilical cord if she had to.

And so, she waited and waited until the day finally came, in the middle of her class no less. She was rushed to the nearest hospital and carted off into the emergency room. 12 grueling hours of nothing but nurses, doctors, and the pain she wanted so bad to just go away. But she knew, in the end, it would be worth it, watching the life leave her childs eyes. Then she felt it. A thumping in her chest, hard and fast and violent. Like her heart would leap out of her chest and reveal her blackened hate to the world. Or, like it would explode. And it did. Almost just as the squealing infant came out, her heart burst and she could feel the warmth pooling from the tiny organ that just couldn't take it. The doctors only began to notice as they hesitantly handed off the grotesque child to her, it's pale skin now pink with rage and it's fierce eye's glowing with rage, and it's horns -oh those horns, covered in pink flesh that certainly must have been the source of her pain- calling out to anyone who dared touch them. And in those moments, those final moments, the woman, much to the doctors shock, wrapped her hands around her childs chubby neck and weakly choked him until she passed onto the next life. She'd failed in her goal, and now this beast would be let loose onto the world.

Shortly after the boys birth, a group of staff members from Esprit academy were hailed to the hospital, where they were meant to explain the child. Surely they'd know what to do with it. The Adept's, however, where moreso baffled by the childs strange energy than it's appearance. While it wasn't common for an Adept's 'abnormalties' to be this extreme, it wasn't heard of for the most part. It was unheard of, however, for infants of any kind to hold a power so dark and powerful. No none Dark Adept had ever been born this way and, if they had, the boy's mother had never shown any signs of being a DA before her death. With no real evidence to prove their suspicions, the best that could be done was to relinquish the boy back into the care of the hospital staff. He stayed for three more days until he was placed in a baby orphange, one of many that he would spend a great deal of his life in. He 'grew up'like the average child, although he was constantly shuffled between orphanges due to his violent tendincies with the other children, and even some of the staff. Eventually, he was set straight by an especially tough matron and learned to control his urges to maim, although actually succeeding in his attempts would come much later on in his life. With this control came changes that caused most to recognize him less and less, particularly a change in personality and appearance. His power also began to surpress itself, although most wouldn't be able to sense this.

Eventually, at the age of thirteen, he found himself being adopted by a poor family who simply needed a child for the extra money and he found himself in a situation not much different from his last. While his treatment certainly worsened, he was atleast permitted a decent meal every day and a bed to sleep in. He didn't mind the abuse, so much as having some of his plate scaped off to feed the dogs while his foster brother was allowed to get extra. He put up with everything for the next two years, making sure to keep his emotions in check, lest he end up massacaring them all. His tactics seemed to be succesful for the most part, up until his foster fathers sudden desire to knock the boy down a peg. His insults seemed to roll off the boy, having little to no effect, his expression never changing from a stoic look of boredom. That was until the man began to speak of the boy's mother, mostly false rumors he'd heard from colleagues and drinking buddies, but they seemed to actually bother Yasei. Although, not in the way the man had hoped... In short, it was only a matter of time before the teen snapped and attacked his bully, clawing and punching and tearing at him like a mad man as his hair began to turn grey, starting from the roots, his eyes changing in color. Coincedentally, an Adept just so happened to be making their way home after a late night out and was disturbed by the ruckus and dark energy he felt coming from the home. Forcing his way into the home, he was met to the sight of a cowering family watching as a fully grown male struggled to hold down much smaller teen who had strips of flesh in his fingernails and blood on his breathe. The Adept easily subdued the boy himself and concluded that no one had been hurt while calling for someone to retrieve the boy.

He was quickly brought to Esprit Academy, were multiple test were run on him, the results showing that he did in fact have DE but also DNA strands matching that of the monsters that many Adept's faced in their lives. Within the week, the boy began to recover from his sudden outburst, having no recollection of the events that occured afterwards. He stayed in the academy under the supervision of the officials there, studied over the course of four months until the eve of his sixteenth birthday. Originally, he was meant to be transferred to Souldew for further testing using their advanced technology, when he made a particularly strange request: to be allowed to stay at Esprit and learn under the staff there in order to combat the monster menace. Most saw this only as an attempt to save his own life, while others felt his woulds were sincere and rang true. Whichever opinion was true didn't matter. The powers that be saw this as a good chance not only to see if the boy was capable of functioning in normal society even with his 'affliction', but also to see if a human/monster hybrid could breach the Adept power threshold and become a greater weapon for fighting the darkness. Either way, a deal was cut and rules were set, rules that would determine whether or not he would live to spend the rest of his life rotting in a cage or fighting to rid the world of his own kind.

Either way, this is going to be a real pain.

Other:

-His name means 'wild child' in japanese.

-His True Form, despite some speculation among the staff at Esprit, is NOT a transformation. It is the skin he was born in. It is, in essence, his full, unfiltered power released to the world.

-Yes, Yasei is a monster baby. Yes, everyone will probably end up hating him. Yes, chances are he won't live to see the end of this roleplay.

Well, right off the bat, his SP is slightly concerning XD

I mean, he cant manipulate the wind or air, Gail already does that.

And he shouldnt be able to teleport if he manipulates wind (which he cant do, so uh.. XD)

He could mess with peoples emotions, but I Sis sorta does something similar, though not exactly, so thats technically fine that he could do. :)  Itd just need to be refined into more of an ability instead of an idea.

When it says his "True form" ability makes his stuff increase ten fold, I get the hyperbole. I also understand it when it says he "is easily capable of trumping most", but any third year or fourth year especially, would be able to hold their own, with a fourth year more than likely able to easily defeat a first year whos merely "powered up". So, the hyperbole is fine, but just note that certain things in the lore/rp are not quite so easily overcome XD

But I do understand your charrie is a WIP x3

LMAO this history.

First sees how long it is. -> "Oh christ! Okay..."

Mother: Year 2 Adept. -> "Holy crap she's real young."

Sees the bit happening. -> "A tad more graphic than I would've put..."

Strangle child if has to. -> "GEESUS! Holy sh.."

In the middle of her class. -> "She's STILL in class?!"

Couple notes. She probably would have given birth in Esprit, but I suppose going to a hospital in Royal City is fine, since you said Esprit staff was called in. Two, I think instead of an orphanage, he'd simply be taken care of at Esprit, by staff, but it's fine.

Also, as for his SP. I like it a lot. It is a tad redundant, cuz all SE acts as a barrier, for their Adepts, but still, I like the idea of his manifesting as much stronger forms of protection. That's pretty neat.

Ultimately, he is Accepted! :)  I like him. Now we discussed a trained Staff Adept being his guardian right? I'll get to making that soon enough. ^^
