Unfortunately he acquired early arthritis in his finger joints -- and that was a seriously devastating blow for him. His family was able to pay for all TEN of his fingers to be "modified" so the illness won't bother him any longer. But now he's in-debt to his family for many years to come.
This is what the modifications look like before they were aesthetically designed to match Jumin's skin colour.

A modern sprawling city in the distant foreign country of Seung. It's mainly known for its soothing lavender/purple hue colouring its skies and streets during the break of dawn and afternoon. However, Kokuru is extremely technology oriented so its prone to experience numerous electrical blowouts every year. So far, it's been averaged to about 2-4 blackouts every 3 months. Though with many back-up generators in the middle to upper class sections of the city, such blackouts don't bother or hinder the people as much as those who dwell in the "slums".
Seung's climate varies from freezing to tolerable coldness. Its practically a winter country.
Current residence: Valmont: Within an apartment complex that has a view of the pristine ocean and glittering sands of its southern coast.
Personality: Jumin is shamelessly judgemental in terms of appearances than attitude. However he does keep his harsh opinions to himself or "low-key" share them to trustworthy friend(s). He's one to project and enjoy banter but he does know when to stop the "scathing" commentary, especially towards people he senses sensitive vibes from. A perfectionist type in most of what he does (including day-to-day activities), thus he regularly takes constructive criticism towards his work to heart. Its a habit he's trying to get rid of, but its hard.
Brief History:
Jumin moved to Valmont for a variety of reasons: an environmental change, independence, an opportunity to start anew in a new foreign place and most importantly stress relief. It was only recent that his fingers had been modified, and the realisation of being in debt to his family overwhelmed him. It was annoyingly hard for him to get recognition in Kokuru for his designs, which meant the bill would stay unpaid until he did something.
Upon being invited to Paragon - the reason why remains a mystery that he didn't bother to look into - Jumin saw this as a chance to get inspired by the culture in foreign country or even showcase some of his own work and make some money. That'll probably all wait until he tried all of its facilities though.
MISCELLANEOUS
- Cannot eat anything that contains peanut butter. Not allergic, it may just trigger arthritis to pop up somewhere in his body.
- His hair is dyed, its original colour is black-brown.
- Easily burns rather than tans, hence why he prefers to cover up despite the weather conditions.
- A bubbly smol: height differences amuses him to no end.
- Do not pull his fingers.
