About your character: Released from a facility for the mentally ill three years ago, Swain was lost. He had no idea what to do or where to go. Wandering from city to city, looking for opporitunities that might come up he found shelter. A family of three took him in and treated him as his own.


He has no memory of his family before the facility or whatever he did before then. The new caretakers were kind and sweet, however, his step-brother was kind of... Different. He kept talking in the attic every night until one day Swain came up to see what was going on.


Turns out, his step brother had conjured a dark wraith to keep him company. That was where all his cut and bruise marks came from and why he kept talking in the attic. In the span of the next few years, Laigo, his step brother taught Swain conjuring magic and how to summon a being from the shadows. What came up the first time he tried magic was not entirely pleasant as he called an evil shadowbourne, a spirit who's goal was to take away children's consciousness. Quickly he dispersed of the being and tried again.


Next time, he summoned Jaera, a crowlith being of the shadows with which he bonded instantly and became best friends thereafter. After a year their parents found out about what the children were doing and they assumed Swain caused this so they kicked him out and his only option was to go to Wormingshire, which was quite far away.


On the way there he had stolen a book called "Shadowborn", which was a spellbook for dark evocation magic. However, he managed to learn only one spell before he had an encounter with a wolf in the forest and dropped his bag into water, ruining the book and everything together with it.


Now he is in Wormingshire, about to start his first year.

Name: Conjure Crowlith "Jaera"


Description: This spell conjures a crow of shadows, slightly bigger than an average crow bird. It emits dark purple energy in the manner of smoke. This crow has the capability to use it's emitting energy to notably increase it's speed, however, this requires additional magical energy used by the caster.

Name: Dusk Talons


Description: The wings of Jaera increase two times their normal size and with a few flaps she releases her talons in a shadow form and they burst upon contact, causing temporary pain in the body parts they hit. The skin turns purple and causes pain for roughly three seconds.

    Race: Trini-Mortal

    The Trini (My species)


    The Trini, or Ancients by most, are a humanoid race based on the belief that intelligence is dominant. They hold rational and logical outcomes over emotions, and see themselves as one large unit rather than a tribe of families. Trini youth age rapidly from birth, as their brain needs more room to expand. By the end of their twelfth Earth year, they will appear to be teenagers or young adults. From there, their and cell death is extremely slow, allowing them to live much longer than a normal human, hence the term Ancients. Most Trini are very tall and gangly, as their limbs are extremely long.


    The brain is a much more complex set of nerves that produce residual energy and can be capable of amazing memory. After the twelfth year, the brain begins to stop growing outward, and form the nerve networking that allows for faster and deeper thinking. The nerves never stop growing, and the brain will eventually grow down the spine, giving the hundred-old Ancients an iconic lump behind the skull and down the back. The residual energy is capable of telekinetic and telepathic properties.

About your character: Of noble blood, Flynn comes from a long lineage of royalty. His family has ruled over his homelands for thousands of years and are very adept at magic. In fact, the Acorna race has the ability to shape-shift from their humanoid forms, complete with single horn and long tufted tail; into a unicorn which retains the ability to speak and cast.


The Acorna live in a valley deep in the Southern mountains, their lands hidden by powerful magic from sight. Visitors are permitted into the lands, but only with an Acorna to vouch for them. In their alternate form, the Acorna's horn is used for casting, it also has a small amount of telekinetic magic within. Not enough to lift anything heavy, mostly just the dowsing orb.

Description: Drawing from either the orb, or a nearby water source, the caster can use the water like a whip to trip or attack an enemy.

Description: Pulling lightning from within the orb, the caster shoots it toward an enemy.


Type: Attack/cast/1 sec channel.


Tool: A combination water/electricity dowsing orb. The orb is wet to the touch, constantly swirling with clear, fresh water and lightning dancing inside like a contained storm.

Race: Contracted Being - Contracted beings are almost mistaken for Liches. They are living and breathing creatures that, mere moments near death, are contracted by an entity in order to save them. The result is a creature that exists with their soul in the safe-keeping of their contractor. In return they are given a long life-span, powers and duties to uphold. Inherently, their magical abilities are overwritten to their contractors and they are no longer bound by fate.

Age: Pixies don't track age as they only die from injury or disease. Often pixies may view short periods of time as long or the other way around.

Orphan and only child, Zhurimaa was not like most pixies. Her people thought of her has strange, often delusional. For one thing she had yet to reach adulthood and was still in the young adult stage of her growth development. Though they do not track age, time is still relative to the Pixies and their maturation process from infant to adulthood always occurs within their first decade. Zhurimaa had been alive longer than an decade but her growth had been slow and unpredictable.


Another distinction she has earned among her kind is her desire to pursue wizardry. Pixies have a unique magic all to themselves that is poorly understood by most other beings. It is not particularly powerful or destructive yet for some reason Zhurimaa has no desire to develop that magic and instead wishes to leave her world and learn the magic of other men.Though the pixies mock her for this behaviour Zhurimaa embraces her uniqueness and only wishes to gain new powers and experiences to grow and help the whole world.


In her perspective Pixies have lived in their own tiny world for too long, ignoring the global matters, concerned only with their culture and society. Inherently not bad or good and harming no one but never really changing or growing. To Zhu this life of standing still was worse than doing wrong. Zhu craves adventure and liberation and even more she desires to be nobel and helpful to all creatures.

Race: Just good ol' human. How typical

Gender: Duh! What do I look like to you?

Appearance: Reverie has waves of wheat blonde hair which falls to the small of her back; usually kept pinned back away from her face. She has rather striking features with high cheekbones making her more of an austere beauty, rather than a sweet approachable damsel. She is of slim built and stands at about 5'5''. Golden brown eyes... if you're looking for a description of that.

About your character:
The Starlings come from a long line of aristocratic Metal Conjurers and Earth Manipulators. Though they have been running a weapons and armour manufacturing facility for generations (which supplies some of the equipment for guards all over the land), many Starlings have held other prestigious positions in the past; from town mayors, generals, master metal conjurers. So, it came as a surprise to the Starling family that their youngest member had zero aptitude for Metal Conjuring.. or Conjuring... or even any other magic branch for that matter. Except of course, Divination Animation, but what good would such magic do? To make things worse, she had no interest whatsoever in the arms making business, although she had an uncanny ability to make things the normal way. With her two hands.

Despite the fact that she still enjoyed the privileges of being born with a silver spoon, Reverie grew up with an inferiority complex as every time one of her two brothers returned home, they would be afforded a hero's welcome for 'making the family name great'. Great... Reverie does put extra effort into hiding her insecurities by an often haughty exterior. Which can make her seem somewhat aloof and insensitive on the onset.

Hence, when she came of age, her parents decided to send her off to the highly lauded Wormingshire academy, with the hopes that they could at least boast about something she accomplished.

Magic types you will be learning:

Description:
One of Reverie's earliest passions was toy-making. Before she was sent off to Wormingshire, Reverie spent most of her time in a little corner of the Starling weapon's factory making soft toys and animating them with her magic. She found out that when she added some sort of wooden skeleton into the toy, it made it that much more easier to animate smoother movements; and had the added benefit of taking less of a toll on her energy. Despite that, her magic was largely used to entertain the children at a local orphanage and nothing more.

Race: Noblesse; Technically humans by all appearances, but ones with a distinct affinity for combating and communing with the ethereal. Their ancestry is though to lead back to an intermixing of human and fiendish bloodlines.


Appearance: Lithe and demure, Soph'ana certainly has the appearance of the noble blood she carries in her veins. She carries herself proudly, back straight, eyes forward, her arms swing daintily by her sides. Her face is soft and child-like, with distinctive features being her slightly pointed nose and small mouth. Her short-cut blonde hair is typically held back with a ribbon or headband, although she also takes great pleasure in an extensive hat collection of various types, one of her many hobbies. Her clothes are elegant, but practical, usually a casual short-sleeved-top-and-skirt combination with her signature accessories: her unique jacket, long black gloves, and thigh-length boots, made of the finest materials for fashion and quality that money can buy. She wears a wide cloth utility belt around her waist with loops of fabric for holding miscellaneous items, as well as a leather sheath at her hip for her wand and a harness across her back for her rod.





Persona
Personality: Austere would be an appropriate word to describe Soph'ana's temperament, she has a haughty attitude about her that she seems to look down her nose at the common passersby, but she is highly competitive with those she views as equals, vying to be recognised by those she admires. She has a sharp tongue, often quick to criticize, but it is backed by a sharp mind, inquisitive and cunning. Cavalier and charismatic, she lives by a personal code that looks out for herself first, though she may slowly develop out of such selfish inclinations if given a dire situation or risking the life of a friend. Even though she puts on airs of superiority and independence, deep down she is actually lonely and forlorn, hoping to gain the friends she never had in her young life, but not knowing how to interact in a purely altruistic manner in the least.

History
Soph'ana's parents claim heritage to the country of Merlondain, one of the largest governmental powers in the known world, though the Noblique family itself is a shadow organization for the political powers that be, hunting supernatural threats and eradicating the corrupted who would use them to bring chaos and destruction, the work of Exorcists. Soph'ana herself was born on the island continent of Kriria on an extended campaign by her parents, who had moved to the area to eradicate an ongoing spirit infestation. She grew up in this foreign land, though it was home to her, and she learned the culture and was soon trained by her parents how to defend and repel the spirits that were ever-present. She was taught in the ways of an Exorcist; the wielding of blessed weapons, the sealing of malefic spirits, and the use of the magic of the soul.





Lucilliae And Her Weapon-Doll

Sophie's closest companion, arguably her only true friend and confidant, is her older sister Lucilliae, her role model for many year, and a master of the family's art of puppeteering in battle. However, she was killed in a mass outbreak of specters from a local haunt, attempting to terrify the family into abandoning their mission. The attack was subdued, but in the end Lucilliae lay dying, and medical aid was far from being delivered. It was here that young Soph'ana first manifested her familial ability to control the spirit, she soothed her sister's being and quietly called it into another vessel, herself, and for a moment the two shared consciousnesses. Unfortunately, Lucilliae's body perished, the wounds were too great for what little treatment they had available, but her spirit was able to live in on a sense in the body of a marionette, one of her old tools which Soph'ana was training with, now Soph'ana's constant companion for fear of breaking the spell by separating them and losing Lucillae's soul forever. The two worked together ever after and became a formidable duo, hunting specters and disbanding haunts, rightfully taking their place as Apprentice Exorcist-Assassins of House Noblique. Soph'ana was sent to Wormingshire as soon as she came of age, with her doll-sister Lucilliae to accompany and guide her.

    The Noblessa are a people of war, and even from their early childhood they are trained to take up arms against the creatures of darkness. Soph'ana's own instruction has given her basic experience with many of the most rudimentary weapons, short curved knives, an arm-lashed crossbow, even the blacksilver swords of the Noblesse, though she has far from mastered any of them. Soph'ana herself always carries a belt lined with several of these knives, as well as a coil of silver wire kept in a set of rings on her fingers which can be flung about to cut, entangle, and secure, used mostly in tandem with her puppet-doll sister. For her magic tools, she has a pouch at her waist to hold an elegant fountain pen and a jar of black ink, alongside a sheaf of blank tags to write the sealing sigils upon. She wears her wand in an open sheath at her hip, ever present and available, and her rod is slung across her back in a leather harness which is easily accessible.

Requiem Being Cast

Exorcist's Requiem:

This spell sends a portion of the caster's soul out like an ethereal missile, striking the target with purifying essence. Malevolent phantoms and dead ghosts are quelled, causing them significant damage in much the same way an elemental bolt would against a mortal. This spell's effect on material creatures is slightly altered, bypassing their body to assault them on a spiritual level, inflicting a stunning pain and reducing their resistance to other magics. This spell draws on the caster's own soul, and though it can be cast multiple times in quick succession or all at once, each bolt will be slightly weaker than the one before and fatigues the caster after a short while until they get quality rest.

Full Ogre's Favor: Stage 3


~Ogre Spirit~


A wild and wicked spirit, the Ogre embodies rage, violence, and determination. Its personality enjoys mocking humour, strong liquor, and the thrill of battle. The Exorcist who captures an Ogre has a powerful partner, granting them strength and protection, but also have to fight to keep the spirit under control or else fall into a crazed frenzy, attacking both friend and foe. Once an Ogre Spirit has been completely tamed and befriended, it will become a fierce and loyal companion.

Ogre's Skin: Stage 1:

Soph'ana releases an Ogre Spirit from her wand to bond with her, sprouting a pair of short horns from her underneath her hair, which in turn darkens to black. In this form, she gains enhanced strength and endurance, able to dent stone with a punch or withstand a solid hit reasonably well. This form is by no means invincible however, and only lasts for up to ten minutes. Every intense action, such as landing or taking a heavy blow, reduces the duration by one minute. This form is anti-magic, meaning it is slightly resistant to incoming spells, but cannot cast any spells until it is dispersed.
