This is a Scion game set in the city of Brockton Bay, Massachusetts, Earth Bet. It is a crossover with the excellent superhero story Worm and is not currently recruiting.


House Rules



1) You get 3 favored Epic Abilities, and 3 Favored Purviews. Of these, 2 of each must be from your parent, and 1 may be chosen freely. If your parent only has 1, you get to pick 2 freely, but at least one of those must be thematically appropriate.


2) You get the Relics to use your Favored Purviews for free. If you want, you can even put all your eggs in one basket and make a super relic that has 5 points of Birthrights plus the 3 free ones in one overpowered package.

3a) Bast has the Favored abilities listed in the core book, but the Epic Attributes and Purviews from the Wiki.


4) Soak works like it does in Exalted, not like it does in Scion rules as written.


4a) This means that your soak rating first subtracts from your opponent's automatic damage succeses, and then from his dice, and then any remaining dice are rolled. There is a fear that this will lead to the game being too lethal, so this house rule is open for discussion pending actual combat.


5) Scent the Divine is a Tier 2 Boon that has Empath as its only prerequisite.


Creature Rules


All Creatures are based on a mundane creature, such as a cat or a boar. Depending on their physical abilities, these basis creatures either cost 1 or 2 dots.


1 dot – Scarab (As a generic insect template), Turtle


2 dot – Bull, Deer, Snake (Constrictor)


Further dots spent on the Creature background can be used to increase their Attributes, Abilities, and even give them Divine powers.


The first dot spent on enhancing the Creature gives the following benefits:


Legend 2


1 dot of each Virtue of the Scion's pantheon, plus 4 to split


1 dot to Charisma and Manipulation


2 dots to divide between Charisma, Manipulation, and Intelligence


One Creature Template. These are detailed below.


One Hiding Power. Hiding Powers are any ability that lets the Creature be a part of the Scion's day to day life. Common powers include the ability to be summoned from a Relic (in which case this Relic is free) or shapeshifting into a similar, but harmless shape (such as a lion taking the form of a domestic cat).


At each subsequent dot, the Creature gets the following benefits.


3 dots of Attributes to be distributed freely (though only physical Attributes can be raised over 5, and only if the Creature's base species is noted for their physical prowess).


One Creature Template. These are detailed below.


If the total Birthright cost of the Creature is 4 or more, its Legend is increased to 3.


Whenever the Scion gets Experience points, the Creature gets half that many experience points.


In a game where Legend is increased by ST fiat (such as this one), whenever the Scion's Legend increases, the Creature's Legend increases as well, if this would not raise it above one less than the Scion's. Thus if Maia's Creature Ahmose has Legend 2 and Maia's Legend increases to 3, nothing happens. But when Maia's Legend increases to 4, Ahmose's increases to 3.


Creautre Templates


Skilled - The Creature gains 10 points of Abilities to be distributed freely. This Template may be taken multiple times.


Mighty - The Creature gets 2 dots of Epic Attributes and associated Knacks to be distributed freely. This Template may be taken multiple times.


Undying - The Creature cannot die. If it is reduced to zero health levels, it will return through some process or ritual appropriate to the myths surrounding it. This is never quite fast enough to be relevant in combat.


Healing - The Creature can touch a sick or injured person in order to heal that person. Roll the Creature’s (Intelligence + Occult + Legend). The patient heals one lethal health level or two bashing health levels per success. Each healing attempt costs one Legend point


Mount - The Creature can be ridden regardless of how unfeasible this would normally be. Furthermore, it gets suitable powers of mobility, such as flight or the ability to pass unhindered through a thick forest at speeds comparable to a car.


Tough Hide - The Creature's Epic Stamina counts as 3 or 1 higher than it actually is for the purposes of Soak and Health Levels, whichever is more.


Hunter - The Creature gets access to 2 Boons associated with Hunting or Tracking.
