The Sentinel City of Samor

City-of-Cordo-Early.jpg

The City of Samor is one of the largest and safest strongholds in Zenitharia, and one of the primary destinations for all hunters – newbies and veterans alike. Samor is home to the famous academy Scholomance, where the greatest have given up their hunting days to teach new generations of hunters. Samor contains the widest variety of goods in its large marketplace, from simple trinkets and baubles to weapons and armor. Most of the residents in this stronghold are human but nonhumans aren't an uncommon sight to see in the city.

The Six Cities of Vinargal

imageproxy.php.jpeg

A point of soreness for many in the world, the six cities were a last refuge for the nobility and world leaders after they sent their armies like lambs to the slaughter; their nations were eventually destroyed. What had once been a private retreat for the wealthy turned into a safe haven for the broken. Outsiders treat those that reside there with disdain, as they blame the noble families for leading their ancestors to their deaths.

Each city is placed above the other, creating a tiered quality of living. It stands as a testament to the hubris of humanity, and a symbol of how their arrogance lead to their homes being destroyed. To make up for what they saw as an act of cowardice, many individuals from younger generations leave to become Hunters, to redeem their families if nothing else.

One of the recent addition to the staff, the Mistress of Aura, grew up here, and is acclaimed to be the point of pride from the city state. Her fame, generosity, and general kind-heartedness has caused many to begrudgingly take a second look at the people. Thanks to the coin she spread out when she left, many restoration projects in the lower cities are underway.

Debluff – City of Tombs

imageproxy.php-2.jpeg

The city of Debluff was once a mining colony, one of the most advanced for it's age. Equipped with the best machinery, automated defenses, and the ability to harness the lave which the city resided over, many believed Debluff was an impenetrable fortress. It's name even spoke of it's rise to prominence, and the hope that humanity could rebuild. That Hope soon came crashing down as the incident that occurred haunts many to this day.

They were prepared for outside threats, an invasion, not breaking into an underground tunnel leading to the dungeons. Almost overnight the city was engulfed in battle and in flames. Over a thousand hunters were stationed for the city's defense, and nearly all of them died that day along with most of it's population. The death-toll caused it to forever be known as the 'City of Tombs'. The battle has physically and mentally scarred many of it's survivors. Currently, the City of Tombs is now overrun by monsters though there are some humans who have been trying to reclaim their home.

Braham – City of Slavers

Medieval-Fantasy-City-1.jpg

Far to the east, on the edge of Zenitharia there exists a city built on the back of slaves. Braham is a city filled with slavers who have taken advantage of the chaos the Coalescence created, enslaving refugees fleeing the cities overrun by monsters. The slaves are forced to work the fields, gather building materials, and entertain their masters however possible – a large attraction of Braham being the colosseum where fights are staged between the strongest slaves and Zenitharia's beasts.

Salmithorp

838b63a065141259cb209e4b5d409f20.jpg

Before the Collapse, Salmithorp was a small village with strict traditions that emphasized the importance of the family and clan. When the collapse happened, the villagers desperately searched for a way to keep their village prosperous. One night, ten people entered the ancient altar of their god, The Cutting Wind and sacrificed themselves. With their dying breath the villagers begged for mercy from the Cutting Wind.

The next day, however, there was peace.

The winds twisted about, cutting down those with ill intent who dared approach the village. Over time, the ritual changed from the villagers sacrificing themselves to sacrificing outsiders to their bloodthirsty god. This changed the once peaceful village into a sacred site fiercely protected by the clans that call it home. Though some outsiders have joined the village and their religion, many that come to this place are met with cold stares and short answers. To the people of Salmithorp their home is the most important thing and believe they must, and will, protect it at all costs. They utilize the environment and their understanding of poisons and poultices to defend their lands. They function as deadly assassins and their rituals to their god remains a great secret...

Yerpool

Before

93262b7bbaa3c984d1ad24450ec89d2b.jpg

Yerpool was a coastal city used by the humans of Weestead as a fishing village. Unfortunately, since Weestead is a few days track, communication is very unstable and can go months without talking to one another. With neighboring towns of Heyley, Ramor, and the Dreaded Labrinth of the Vampire Warlord ruin, Yerpool was described as regal with a hint of filth. They were very iffy about monsters and humans who used magic. While monsters were allowed to live within the village by orders of Weestead, Yerpool caused nothing but trouble for the monster and magic user residents. Yerpool did have a mayor who was trying to repair the damage Yerpool's normal human occupants caused over the years and it was a winning and losing battle.

Within recent years, Yerpool had been rumored to be involved with the business of minor slave trading and Species Trafficking. While it has been denied more than once, the suspicions still remain. While fishing was its main source of income, wool, hunting, hides, and other trade items have made Yerpool a bit valuable.

However, the neighboring villages, Ramor and Heyley, have noticed Yerpool hasn't been doing any trading. But this is expected since there were times when the hunting and fishing seasons, the fish and animals they hunt, disappear for months on end. There were reports of faint sounds coming from Yerpool and people getting sick, only to get better after a few days within Ramor and Heyley. What people don't know is Yerpool had been dissolved, everyone and the monsters within the Conwe woods were killed by an unseen force. Word had yet to each Weestead due to poor communication and many months might go by before Yerpool may be discovered again.

~Eampwold~

Long ago, far before the attack of the two realms upon the mortal realm; this place was known to very few  as a place of tranquility and safety for all of those who had traveled far up north to the ice lands where little to no civilization was around. This place, the Temple known as Eamwold had housed monks of not only humans but as well as a mixture of many different races all together in one place, although the monks here had practiced the way of peace and solving their problems with other methods aside from violence, they were all very well trained warriors in a variety of different sorts of combat. Many of these monks had stayed at the temple as guards due to what was hidden and sealed away far beneath the temple grounds; however many others had refused to live the solitude life at the temple and became travelers to roam the very world in hopes to teach others of the ways that they were taught at the temple but as well as to go out and assist those that were in need.

Back before the attack had occurred, the temple had always been hidden from sight by several large thick layers of solid ice and it only left one large gap as an entrance as well as exit to reach the grounds of the temple, let alone catch the slightest glimpse of it. Unlike many other places that had attacked or even hunted monsters due to the attacks that had happened on their land; due to the secrecy of this temple, many monsters had always been rather unaware of this place and had always missed it; however, those that had found the place and attempted the attack were always fended off against two large armored statues that seem to have no real physical embodiment within the armor itself but yet they were still able to move rather easily. The creation how or even when these large suits of armor had been set there as guardians for the temple itself had been unknown and a large mystery to all of those that were ever invited to the temple but yet as well as even many of the monks who had lived at the temple. All that was known about them was when they had not been active to fight or defend the temple, they were always standing completely still at the outer gates into the temple, awaiting for any possible danger to occur.

When the faithful day of the towers creation had presented itself along with the near wipeout of humanity's technology and many of even it's kind; the temple was struck quite badly however was still able to fully stand with the assistance of the large layers of ice that had surrounded and hidden the temple. This however did not mean that the temple and it's monks were spared in the end, many of it's people were slaughtered by beasts and even demons leaving only a handful remaining that had hidden from the battling that had been to defend the temple. After the onslaught of the bloodbath, those who had remained and were still alive had not dared to stay at the temple as they had all left it's once safe walls to roam the planet in hopes that if they continued moving, they would be safe.

As time had continued and no one had been there to care for the temple, soon enough; ice and snow began to consume over the entire temple leaving it nearly nothing more than ruins hidden from sight to the very world. The twin guardians of the temple continue to stand at the front of the temple motionless after the destruction of the temple, however it was believed that if anyone or anything is to dare attack or go in search of treasure, the guardians would once again awaken from their slumber. Unaware that the treasure they once guarded was already taken from them long ago.

Agdenthorp- CITY OV DA GREENSKINS

617091d137789f5ce018b2f99f0298e6.jpg

Agdenthorp is the home of the proud Greenskin race. It was founded in the depths of a dormant volcano, as that is where the founders thought they were able to find the best fight. They were somewhat right. The city of Agdenthorp, or just known simply as "DA CITY" is home to all Greenskins. The fire and menacing architecture fit the attitude of the Orks to non-orks, their behavior just as volatile as the magma that surrounds the city. Only the most daring do enter the city, as many who do not celebrate the customs and traditions of the Greenskins do not make it back out in one piece. Alive sure, but not without losing an arm or two.

Agdenthorp is the city that is at war with itself. Many many weapons, crude, but effective, pour out of the flaming forges of the city, and fuel the burning anger that the rivaling clans of the city have towards each other. The Evil Sunz clan are a mercenary group, that believe that the other races of the world are a profitable decision. "Da 'umies call us fer help, and we takes der fights. It'z a good deal." in contrast to the Bad Moonz, who believe "ALL DA OVVA RACES CAN KNOB OFF FER ALL I CARE! IZ JUS' WANNA KRUMP EVERYFIN' AN' NOBODY CAN STOP ME!" With two wildly different beliefs, the Orkz call the city a 'neutral ground', but other towns and outposts for the Orks still fly banners of their clan allegiance, and still launch into an assault on anyone who has the wrong insignia on their shoulder.

~Heyley~

In the times before the destruction of humanity and many of it's resources; Heyley was not known for it being the city in the sky as it is today but rather hidden deep within the forest near the ocean. The city of Heyley was well known across the land as a trading city that held resources from fresh fish, meat, produce and even equipment for hunters along with many other things. The people of Heyley have always been known to be quite the inventors as few of them had ever needed to actually leave their city to hunt for anything at the risk of danger, the people of this city had always found someway to invent one thing after another to either transport goods, hunt, defend or transportation in general. The source of energy that was used each time to invent these particular things that the people of Heyley had created was due to a large regenerating energy crystal that was buried deep underneath the ground in the middle of the city. Little knowledge is to known to the people of the city of how the discovery of this natural power was founded at first but enough was known that the crystal never seemed to run out of energy that it could constantly regenerate it's power to continue providing more and more to the people of the city to invent their creations.

Once the faithful day of the attack over the realm had occurred, the most unexpected thing had just so happen to come over the entire city of Heyley. As the city was obviously attacked, rather than being destroyed all in an instant. The ground itself shook and slowly began to lift itself off from the once it once was and finally up into the air with four massive chains protruding out from four corners of the large block of land that had been lifted. The chains and the reason for the rising of the large mound of land was all due to the crystal and it's sense of danger; using up as much of it's power to defend itself as well as the city of Heyley, once the city had been lifted, the energy that once constantly restored itself only was able to restore at minimum amounts to keep the very city afloat on the mound of land; even to this day. Due to this floating mound of land being what kept the city safe from many of the creatures that had began to form into the land, the ways of trading and transportation had changed drastically as the people of the city soon even ended up finding out that their once beloved technology that was once so advanced was slowly dying out.

This however did not stop the people of Heyley and soon enough, with enough effort and time; the people began to find another source of power, steam. Of course, due to it's strange and at first; weak resource and power, inventions took quite a while to begin to figure out how to condense the power of steam to make it all the more powerful. Soon enough, as the years passed, eventually the people of Heyley finally figured out how to harness the power of the new source of energy and began creating new forms of transportation such as airships.

Once this new invention of transportation had sky-rocketed within the city, it was only a matter of time that the people even began building docks for these airships to land, making it so that this was the only form of way to reach up towards the city itself.
