  • Morgan Bates

    as

    Clairvoyant

    Overview

    Age: 22

    Hair Colour: Black

    Eye Colour: Brown

    Weight: 110 lb

    Height: 5'3

    Personality

Morgan is complicated. She can be manipulative in board room meetings and is the face of Avalon, being the one to announce new products and the main brain behind them. Her true passion is the and she's a workaholic, always working on something or the other. She doesn't care for pleasantries and can be quite rude.

She often attends lavish parties and is seen on the arm of a new man, or rather they are seen on her arm, every week. Yet she never mixes pleasure and business.

When prowling the streets at night, she is cold and detached and very territorial.

    Background

Morgan was born the second of three daughters of a wealthy software mogul focused on security for the military and large corporations.

She was born with telekinetic powers she never knew how to stop. Items would float around her whenever she got emotional, reacting to her anger, sadness and loneliness. She threw all her energy into programming; logic keeping her emotions on track. Her only support was her little sister who encouraged her to try to control her powers instead of hiding with her computer in her room all day.

When she was 14, she was accepted into MIT on a special scholarship for people with special abilities like her. There she worked with others from the Cambridge area to control her powers but she didn't want to accept the same stigma they did by identifying themselves to the public while completing a bachelor degree in Computer Science.

When she was 19, her parents and youngest sister were gunned down in a robbery attempt and she rushed back home, leaving her Masters unfinished.

She and her sister Analise inherited the company and became CTO and CEO respectively, taking it for a new turn into consumer electronics. Seeing how the crime in the city cut her beloved little sister's life short, she decided to take on the mantle of Clairvoyant and stop crime.

    As Clairvoyant

Clairvoyant has telekinetic powers which allow her to levitate up to 500 kg worth of objects including herself. However, her main power is her intellect and the masquerade of fear she lays over the city. She uses her telekinesis to make the public believe her to be a supernatural figure, always staying in the shadows.

Morgan perched on top of Bates Tower.

"HARII?" She asked. "Patch me into the police feed?" HARII, standing for Highly Advanced Research and Information Interface, was an AI she'd build in college. Unfortunately, it doesn't scale well commercially. Too much data and too much coaching needed to get it to the stage it was at today.

She heard the crackle of static and then voices on the other line. For a while it was just mundane stuff, joking about the new Police Chief, a couple of already resolved calls.

"Dispatch to Headquarters, robbery in progress at the Classical Art Museum."

Morgan stood up and jumped off the roof, flying through the air towards the museum. She had a robbery to stop.

Alexander sat on a fairly tall building across from the Classical Art Museum. He wasn't planning on doing anything tonight, but he had watched a group of thieves get in through the top of the roof. "Idiots..." He scuffed already knowing what had happened as the alarms started blaring causing a loud fuss from everyone that had entered inside.

Alex himself had been in the museum had been in the museum multiple times, though all during the day. He knew that the skylights had motion alarms that would send a silent call to the police. He knew the placement of every camera, every motion detector that laid hidden in the building and hearing the alarms ring loudly. Alex now knew that the group that ran in had made more than one mistake. "They're stupid and clumsy...." Alex let out a soft sigh cracking his neck as he fixed the animal skull that was sitting on his head so that his face was covered correctly. "Amateurs..." He stood up stretching out his arms and legs, they were sore from last night's robbery, and he was lucky to get out of there without being seen. He was just hoping that this group created enough chaos where he may be able to sneak in and take some goodies for himself. If not, he wasn't up for taking the chance, not tonight.

It was not long after that Alex noticed the police vehicles speeding down the roads toward the museum. The vehicles' lights flashing their colors of 'Freedom and Peace' brightly and the all too familiar sirens blasting as if music to the town. "Oh no, It's the cops." Alexander chuckled as he spoke obviously joking. The police of this town, though tough and tried to help, were no more than incompetent fools.
