Fantasy When Darkness Comes.

One Thousand Club
Time: 8 AM - Clear skies - Sunrise - Shadows, long.

Elizabeth jolted awake after having fallen asleep on the couch, again. It was a usual thing, really. She rubbed at her eyes before tiredly looking around the living room, no sun shine could be seen pouring through the windows because they were boarded heavily with wood and sheets of metal she had been able to find, luckily. Getting up from the couch with a small groan as she rubbed at her temples, she sighed and shook her head at herself. "Damned things.. Shriek and scream all night.. Impossible to get sleep.." She murmured to herself. But she wasn't about to stay cooped up in the house when she had a chance to go outside. And perhaps it wasn't completely safe, but it was better then being stupid enough to travel outside when it was dark. Then again, she couldn't really handle a bite, and she didn't want to try it, so she simply convinced herself it's best to stay inside during the night. No matter what.

Rubbing at her eyes she wandered over to the kitchen, grabbing a can of peaches from one of the cabinets to pry it open with a knife after grabbing it from a drawer besides the sink. Casually she picked up a slice of the peach with the knife and popped it in her mouth carefully, and continued like this to eat the rest of the can until there wasn't a single piece of fruit left. And even then she brought the edge to her lips, and drank what juice she could get from it. You never wasted food there.

Grabbing her guns from the small coffee table in front of the couch, Elizabeth glanced at the watch on her wrist. It had been mandatory to memorize when the sun rose, and when it set. Just like you had to be careful. If you didn't wait long enough after sunrise, the shadows would still be enough for the zombies to get you, if they hadn't gone to sleep already.

Sunrise was roughly 8 AM, and sunset was roughly at 7 PM.

Cautiously she propped the front door open just enough so she could look out through a crack. Nothing. She waited...

Still nothing. Checking the sun in the sky, she soon pushed the door open the rest of the way. It wasn't far to walk towards all the shops- And really she just had to go hunting again. It was easy to find
something to eat around town. But she was never not cautious, because there was always fear.

Striding out, she walked towards the main part of town (Since she stayed in a house about five minutes in a walk away, a small subdivision), hands in her pockets, or more so her thumbs hooked in her pockets, and her guns hooked to the belt on her waist, one on each hip.

Eliana couldn't have felt worse. Groaning as she woke up, light pouring through the small window at the top of the bathroom wall, she covered her eyes, rubbing at her temples. Falling asleep in the bathtub wasn't exactly the most comfortable of things. "How.. Great.." She mumbled to herself, only to hear her wolf's voice again.
This was the safest place. So stop complaining. You never know if the creatures could've broken through the door. Rolling her eyes at herself, Eliana heaved herself from the tub with a slight grunt of pain from her sore muscles. Her raven black hair fell in waves around her shoulders, her brilliant blue eyes practically shining against her pale skin. In the kitchen. Her wolf urged. "I know, I know.." She murmured to herself, sniffing the air slightly before moving all of what she had shoved in front of the bathroom door. She had simply ran to the nearest shelter she could find, and this apartment room had been the first thing for her to find.

Wandering out, she carefully checked for any signs of movement first, and was relieved to find none. Cautiously she creeped to the kitchen, and was utterly relieved to find cans of food in the cabinets.
Fruit. Then beans. "Geez, bossy much?" She muttered sarcastically to herself, but grabbed the can of mixed fruit anyhow, searching for a knife to saw the can open, then used the same knife to help scarf down every bit that was in the can. She was about to set it down, when she heard her wolf's voice again. Drink. "Are you my mother?" She sighed, they always had this argument. Strange.. Arguing with herself. Downing the juice, she sawed open the can of green beans, and took it with her to walk out. She longed to feel the breeze of outside, the scents that came to her nostrils. Then again, that was every wolf's dream.

Stepping out, she walked down the steps of the apartment building to step outside, every so often taking a swallow from the can as well, chewing, and repeating. The moment she stepped out she paused, closing her eyes lightly, the breeze of the outdoors hitting her like a soft cushioned pillow that soothed to the touch, and her wolf practically purred.
It was awfully stuffy in there, in that small room all night. "I know.. It was very small." She scowled slightly to herself, strolling along the street, almost right smack dab in the center of the main section of town.

In the midst of the ruined cities, tall buildings in rubble, homes destroyed, the dark forests are the only things seemingly untouched, whispers cooing through the wind of the branches and trees, further spreading to whisper to the cities, as if in attempts to get some answer though none comes. Buildings left vacant where families used to laugh and play, children running around, now empty, with nothing but the wind to tousle curtains in front of windows. Despite this seemingly empty wasteland of a world, there is, in fact, life.

The world took it's toll after World War III. The drop of a bomb did more then expected. Instead of taking out a country or two, it went over the whole world. And, it didn't exactly have the thought effects, either. Though everything wasn't blown to bits besides that starting hit, the effects of what came after the bomb were disastrous. People were killed within minutes from their lungs burning and swelling, bursting then dying. And if you didn't die quickly, then you simply lasted longer with the torture. Others who hadn't died, weren't so lucky. They'd been changed. Drastically.

Some gained amazing enhancing of their senses, smelling, hearing, tasting and feeling better then they ever had, with amazing strength and speed. Though they found that on full moons, it was a different story. Other's were changed to different things, finding a craving for blood, some growing a cat tail and cat ears perhaps. And some might've gotten trapped with completely different turns of events. Who knows if it'd have been better to die or not.

Even if you were changed, consider yourself lucky. For those who hadn't come to be a creature of some sort, and hadn't died, were changed to the beasts considered zombies.

infected1.jpg

Even some of the animals had taken their toll with this. For there were many wild animals roaming about- Deer, lions, zebra, hell, might as well have let a zoo loose. So it was only evident that something like this happen.

6a00e5521087108834012876742797970c-500wi

All it took was a bite from one of these zombies. And though it wasn't immediate, you only had ten minutes until it'd take into effect.

First your eyes grow cloudy, and you start blacking out, almost as if a seizure were taking place. Your veins begin to show more than they should, your skin growing a dark grotesque color. By the time those ten minutes are up, you'll be a goner, dead inside and out, though still moving. You'll attack those you might've once loved, kill those you protected. And you can't do a thing about it. Because you're gone.

Strangely enough, though, these zombies are more humanoid then one might think. They're smart enough to trap prey, stick together like a pack. And if you hurt one of them, hell, you've got the entire fleet going after you now.

Though, they cannot step into the light. In the day, you're safe. In dark buildings they slumber though, so you must beware, for if you wake them, you might not make it out of that building alive.

But as soon as night comes, it'd be best to find shelter. Almost anything will do. Lock yourself in a bathroom, barricade a door, just don't stay outside. See if you can last through the tormenting cries of these creatures through the night, screaming and screeching as they look for any prey to feed upon.

Because once they know you're there, once they can hear your whimpers of fright, they'll try everything they can to get into that door.

You'll simply be left hoping they'll leave, or have to wait for sunrise. And if worst comes to worst, you'll have to fight them.

What makes this hard is that they aren't slow. At all. They're impossibly fast, and it'd be hard to outrun them if running straight down a street, for example. But in a maze, you've got a chance.

Usually they'll try their chances, banging and throwing themselves at the door for half an hour. But if you fall silent, they might just leave by then.

The only real effective way to fight these creatures, is to somehow rid them of their heads. A blow through the chest or a shot to the head might stun them, but unless the head is clean off, they'll simply rise again the next night. If, they're not left out in the sun, where instantly they'll burst into flames.

They rarely leave the city grounds, but that just gives more to worry as to what might possibly be in the woods that's more to fear then themselves...

In this land, there are very few to trust. Some simply will be looking for food, then kill off whom they grabbed loot from. But then again, it's often rare to stumble upon someone who isn't either a zombie of sorts, or completely insane to the point that there isn't any reason to try talking, either because they simply won't listen, or because they're already trying to kill you. It's quite literally, kill or be killed. There's food to be found in abandoned stores and such without hunting, but often times that food has already either gone bad, or someone/something else has already gone over it all.

It'll start where we'll all be in the same city. There will be basically a forest surrounding a city. There aren't very many animals that are tainted with the 'virus' of these zombies, but it isn't rare to spot a crazed dog or squirrel if you're out later in the day, right before night.

There are a variety of species to be chosen.

Vampire, werewolf, neko, human.. And possibly other things. Ask me about it first before making a character sheet.

Humans are, well, humans I'm sure you can imagine. Ones that perhaps survived through the bomb without anything happening to them.

Neko's are basically just those who had grown cat ears and a tail, along with having a rather keen sense of smell, and easily seeing in the dark. They also have the strange ability to oddly purr realistically like a cat.. Aside from that, though, they can change to a cat whenever they please.

Vampire's went through a change, almost as drastic as the werewolves. They're senses grew keen in smell and often sight, their strength and speed rising significantly. Though they've grown an odd taste for blood- Human food doesn't exactly taste.. Pleasing any longer. When not drinking any long enough, one can be driven to a state of craze. Usually they'll get stuck drinking from some animal, being able to run as fast as a car on the speedway, it's rather easy to do so, at the same time. Unlike most other stories, they
can walk in the sunlight. In fact, they're still smart enough to stay hidden at night and not get cocky, because the fact is, that zombies like attacking in groups. Surely they'd be strong enough to kill off one, right? But not a group of ten or twenty. They heal amazingly fast. For example, a bullet wound would be gone within roughly a minute. But to compensate for that, healing such as this only makes them thirstier. And, if they haven't had a drink in quite some time, they actually won't heal. Vampire's cannot die of thirst. They simply grow incredibly weak.

Werewolf's are quite the story. They have incredible senses of smelling, seeing, touching, tasting, they've practically become an animal. Their strength is doubled if not tripled similar to a vampire, but they cannot run as fast. Not on two legs, at least. Werewolf's can shift freely to a wolf form. But their wolf part of them is constantly speaking, arguing with them in their head, as if you were sharing two souls in one body. At times the wolf can have great influence on actions. Otherwise it can just be mildly annoying. But in the face of danger and death, if the humanoid part of a werewolf is not willing to act, the wolf will on instinct. The only time that a werewolf has no hopes of controlling the wolf, is on a full moon. That is when the wolf takes over for a night, free to do as it pleases. But this is also dangerous, for getting a scratch from a werewolf at this time is nothing but trouble, and will end in a result of the victim being turned as well. But unlike any other shift, this full moon shift is not merely a wolf. It's the form of something half human, half wolf.

View attachment 36050

By the time the night is done, the wolf knows not of where they'll wake. But when a werewolf does, they're usually bare from their clothes being ripped off, infuriating the wolf. Because the wolf simply wishes to run wild, and free, to do as it pleases. But another thing that has chance of triggering this half man half wolf transformation, is increasing rage and anger. If a werewolf gets increasingly angered, and this doesn't help in a deadly situation, this is likely to happen. When in human form, they heal quickly. A bullet wound is gone in approximately ten minutes. In wolf form, it's the same. In their half man, half wolf forms, however, it'll be gone in the matter of seconds.

A human has no chance of fighting off the zombie virus. (Practically.) A human can still fight off the virus, but it'd be a very slim, and excruciatingly painful process. A neko has a slightly higher chance of making it through, but not as much, still.

A vampire can take three bites, and simply pass off as sick for the next few days. But any more and the virus could get through, then you'd have an impossibly strong zombie on your hands. This rarely happens.

A werewolf can last three bites, as well, and pass it off as sick for the next few days, and just like a vampire, if anymore are given, there's a very high chance that they'll be turned.

If a human or neko, the only real way to hope and beat the virus is the matter of three ways. First, you can hope you can get through it. That could take hours of horrid, searing pain though, and possibly feel like death repeating itself. Or, if fast enough, a bite from a vampire could change the victim to a vampire (As a con), but would cure them of the virus. (Pro.)

The third way, would be a scratch from a werewolf on the full moon. This would be a very rare opportunity though.

The only reason these last two would work, is because both vampires and werewolves have advanced systems, therefore are better at fighting back viruses. Which, is the reason why you rarely see one sick.

If bitten by a vampire, and the venom (In their fangs) is injected, then the victim has two possibilities. One, they can go through the incredibly painful change, or two, their body could reject, and they could die. Simple as that.

A werewolf scratch is much the same. But, if you live through the mauling, then you won't see signs of it until the next full moon. That first change is excruciatingly painful, for your bones crack and reform. That is also the night that the new wolf in the victim has their voice in the other's head, in the other's thoughts.

I'll put a warning here in case you didn't guess.
O.o There will most likely be violence. And probably a slight amount of gore as well. We are dealing with zombies here. Romance is perfectly fine. In fact, I encourage it! Please~! But, nothing too much. Fade to black if you need to.

My posts will signal whether it is night, or day. I will make sure to include in each of my posts the specific time, and whether the sun is up or down, the same for the moon, and the length of the shadows. I will basically state whether or not there will suddenly be rain or not.

As for the zombies, they're NPC. You can control a zombie coming after you, I don't mind that. Just, try to follow the outlines I put out for them. If it doesn't fit, I'll ask you to fix it.
O.o

Read the rules please! There isn't much to them!

I believe that covers everything...

*****New addition.

And as if to further react to this happening, there were suddenly more shrill, and pierce screams, but they weren't human. They weren't from anything close to human. New creatures came from the forest though of course no one would be able to see, yet. These creatures were much like the ones out and about at night usually, except, well.. They were smarter. They had developed a language among themselves, and knew more instinctively how to kill. These creatures walked on four limbs, never standing on two alone for a balance factor. Their mouths were no longer.. Really mouths, and their teeth were more like fangs. As if the current creatures of the night had devolved further away from being anything close to humans, their mouths were split into an X, able to open in quite a horrendous way. These creatures couldn't infect, but they killed for the sake of killing. They could be killed with a shot to the chest- For their brain wasn't in their heads. They had no eyes and moved with the ability of echolocation and sensing vibrations, along with astounding hearing and quite level smelling abilities. Running rather fast due to four legs, which were a mix of a hand/palm looking piece, however sharp claw like nails were involved.

These new, and advanced creatures audibly spread throughout any place in the vicinity, already searching for prey.. Though it'd be quite hard to fight with the black, almost smog like cloud evading all sight and inducing fear, though it was slowly fading. (Visibility will return in an hour, at least.)

Naturally they will foster the infectious creatures like children, and try to teach them their intelligent ways.

James opened his eyes, thinking, for a brief instant, he was home again, cuddled up with Beth. He was warm, and safe, and happy. He could smell the flowers she'd planted outside their window. It must have been another beautiful day.

Then he realized he was under a school bus in the middle of the street. What he smelled was rotten flesh. The warmth came from the only comfort item he had; his blanket. He could tell from looking around that it was day out and the creatures would have gone inside by now. He grabbed his backpack and crawled out from under the bus, blinking in pain at the sunlight. Don't just reveal yourself like that, you twit. James winced, and ducked down.

When no one shot him, he stood up and cautiously edged forward. Eat something. Now. The wolf ordered. James sighed and mentally punched the voice in his head. "Food, food, food. I like food. Do you like food?" He grinned as he held out a banana to his invisible second persona. Stop talking to yourself. It's unhealthy. "Oh, shut up." He peeled the banana, sitting back against the bus, and ate it in silence. He fished a water bottle out and took a few sips before putting it back. He sighed again. "We need a girlfriend." We need no one. James cackled conspicuously, then stopped, as he heard footsteps coming closer. He froze. Get back under the bus, you idiot! He quickly grabbed his pack and rolled back under, listening as someone got closer.

Carelessly, Eliana tossed the can of green beans aside after she had finished eating all there was, the same with downing the juice. Her throat was dry, she wanted water, milk, something that wasn't juice. A store. Nearby. She sighed quietly to herself, The wolf was always so protective.. It was ridiculous in her eyes, like having a mother in her, telling her what was right, and what was wrong. Tilting her nose to the air for a moment, she sniffed for some group of foods mixed together that would usually hint a store of sorts. And, walking with her hands at her sides, she constantly stayed alert, her long black hair blowing back a bit with the breeze, though she didn't bother attempting fixing it. Just as she was passing a school bus she stopped. Someone's there. Her wolf informed her, and she murmured beneath her breath, "I know. I'm not stupid." After a moment or two of standing there, she crouched down and peered under the bus, only to blink twice at who she saw. Sniffing a bit while she stayed crouched over like that, her hair tipping over to touch the ground, her wolf spoke again. Another wolf. She wanted to scowl out loud and snap shut up, but instead she just thought it.

"You're hiding there because?"

James' wolf went berserk. A wolf. Another wolf. A wolf. A wolf. Run. Hide. Kiss her. Kill her. DO SOMETHING! James did the first thing he thought to do and rolled out on the other side, grabbed the gun from his waist, and clicked the safety off. "I'm coming around. Keep your hands in the air. I don't want to hurt you." His voice trembled slightly. He hoped he wouldn't have to kill her. "Don't like killing people. Nope, nope, nope." He grinned and laughed at himself.

Stop talking to yourself. There is a woman there. "Shut up." He poked his head around cautiously. "Hullo. I was hiding because bullets- or in your case, swords- hurt. So does being eaten." He examined her, then stepped out, keeping the gun leveled on her. Shoot her. She's a threat. She could kill us. "A little buddy of mine says shoot you. Why shouldn't I?" Instead of waiting for a response, he put the gun away, then stepped alarmingly close to her, sniffing her unashamedly. "Hullo." He repeated.

"I'm James." He was obviously either crazy or stupid. Stop revealing our secrets. "It's not a secret, it's my name." He barked aloud at the wolf. "Nice to meet you. I'm going to run now." He turned around and took off at a sprint in the other direction.

Frowning at herself, Eliana stood up when watching this man roll out to the other side, and even more so at what was said. She could hear the click of the gun's safety being turned off. Run? It wasn't an order, it was a question. That was rare. But she stood there, and had her hands up, but only at shoulder level, a more amused look on her face then anything else. She raised a brow slightly at him though, while he laughed at himself. He seemed even worse then she was. But that also might've been because she had learned to accept her wolf.

He's crazy. She grunted slightly in reply, a barely audible sound. "Do I look like a zombie to you?" She rolled her eyes. Possibly. Shut up. She didn't care much for the gun that was being pointed at her, and casually stood where she was, not caring enough to be frightened or scared, either. He'll get you killed. He's insane. Her wolf insisted, and she very nearly sighed, but ignored the wolf. "I've made no movement to hurt you." She answered, leaning back just slightly with how close this man got, though curiously sniffed a bit while he was as close as he had been, as well.

Insane. Her wolf repeated. Shh. She furrowed her brows slightly while this, James, seemed to be talking to himself again. "Wait, what-" Catch him! She couldn't just let the only person she'd seen get away now, even if he was acting crazy. She simply nodded to herself, and was quick to sprint after this James as if she were racing from the hounds of hell themselves. When she deemed herself close enough, she pounced, more like a lunge to try and tackle the man, just like any wolf would when tackling prey. Now!

She's getting too close. You should change. "She'll get my stuff." He barked at the wolf. "I must seem crazy." You ARE crazy. He growled and put a little more speed behind his run.

He was just about to round a corner when something slammed into his back. He grunted as parts of his skin scraped off onto the road. Both he and his wolf just said "Ow."

Get her off. Protect yourself. He gritted his teeth. "Get off me." He squirmed with all his strength. If he gets her off, he rolls and then rolls the morning star's strap off his back, raising it. If not, he just goes limp.

Eliana simply grunted when she tackled James, and was slightly relieved he was beneath her to take the fall, practically. Got 'em! She snickered slightly to herself, the wolf acting as though they'd just won some game or competition. Yes, we did. Then he started squirming. She frowned down at him, but didn't have a good enough grip to hold him down quite where he was.

But even when he had gotten her off, she quickly moved to tackle him again, despite the fact that he seemed to be taking off some sort of weapon, no doubt to use. Pin 'em. She grunted, and when she jumped at him again she move to pin him by his shoulders, and if she'd miss, she'd probably just go rolling anyhow.

Caught off balance, he dropped the weapon and was pinned on his back. He saw stars as his head hit concrete. His wolf screamed so loud, he got a headache. We're dead! We're dead!

He struggled to keep control. He didn't want to hurt her. He tried to throw her off for a few seconds, but gave up rather quickly. We're dead. Why aren't you fighting? He gritted his teeth and went limp.

"It'd be appreciated if you killed me quickly." The wolf started to panic again. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

"I don't want to kill you, smart a*s." Eliana retorted with a blink. Her wolf snickered mentally. "If I did, frankly, you'd already be dead the moment you started running." She stated rather matter of factly. But she didn't get off James, casually sitting on his stomach, hands against his shoulders while she was keeping him pinned. Now, kill 'em. No.

"I already pointed that out." She added with a small scrunch of her nose, making a slight face at herself for a moment. It's useless to keep him around. His brain is fried. Would you rather go back to solitude? Silence. Thought so. She wouldn't come to trust, she was sure, but at least it'd be better then not having anyone to talk to.

"Now.. If I let you up, will you just sit there?"

"Yes." He answered truthfully. No. "I swear, I won't move." He was wearing a tattered coat and jeans, as well as an engagement ring. He wasn't bad looking, despite the fact that the only bath he'd had in ages was a tongue bath.

He cackled. "Besides, at this rate, the smell will knock you out." He grinned at her. She's pretty. I like her. "I thought you wanted me to kill her, you bipolar twit." That was before she didn't kill us.

He waited patiently for her to get off of him.

Eliana just stared down at James for a few moments. Quite literally, checking him out as far as she could see, head to abdomen from where she was sitting on his stomach. Not bad.. Hush. She made another slight face at herself for a split second, blinking twice at the comment James made to himself about his stench.

"I'm sure it can't be that bad." She mused with an entertained look in her eyes, though she didn't bother getting off him yet. She, herself, was dressed in black jeans, a black tank top that looked as though it were brand new, and above that a zip up jacket with a hole in the side from an incident she had had some time ago, but didn't want to look for any new jacket. She carelessly had left it unzipped and with the hood down, which was a usual thing. If the circumstances weren't as they were, she would've easily made it as a model of sorts.

"You keep talking to yourself." She stated, just then starting to get off of James, though in a careful manner.

He, calmly, remained on his back, keeping his hands away from his weapons. She's evaluating us. Be careful. He smirked up at her. "I never caught your name. I'm James Morgan. Did I already say that?"

Examining her, the wolf echoed what he was thinking. Is she hot? He couldn't tell anymore. The last live woman he'd seen was Beth, and she'd been trying to eat him.

Quite bluntly, he spoke. "Are you attractive? The last woman I knew tried to eat me."

Eliana seemed to pause, giving James a cautious look. "Eliana." She answered, while moving off of him finally to sit on the ground by his feet, though not quite, more like crouching, ready to get up and run at any moment if need be, whether that be away or to follow something couldn't be determined.

"Yes, you did." He's crazy. Hush I said. At the question, she raised a brow at him while even tilting her head to the side almost completely. "Well.. That's different." She stated, rather curious now as she crept slightly closer as if to inspect him further for a moment before moving back again, rocking on her heels while still crouched. "I wouldn't know."

James nodded, and examined her. He thought she was. You just want to get laid. "Shut up." He smiled apologetically at her and tapped his temple. "He won't shut up, the a*shole." Watch it. "I'll say what I want, thank you."

He gave her an odd look. "You don't happen to have a group, do you? Also, may I get up? My mace is digging into my back." Actually, blood was starting to make a small puddle where the spiked head had jutted into his arm. Idiot.

Eliana pursed her lips for a moment. She knew the feeling. Exactly. She mentally scolded the wolf inside her. "Group? No." She then answered, lifting her nose up to the air for a moment before retaining her casual composure, still crouched just the same. "Sit up, then." My bad. Yeah. Your bad. Shut. Up!

She very nearly started growling at herself, but simply shook her head. She glanced at where the small puddle of blood was, instantly making a face at the scent of it. She hated blood, to tell the truth. "Do you have a group?" She asked curiously, but immediately blinked once to herself and assumed that James must not have, if he was wandering out here alone.

He looked more than a little sad when she said she had no group. Like she'd stomped on his dreams. Get over it. He shook his head. "You're the first person who hasn't tried to kill me."

He sat up with a wince as the weapon came with him. "So that's why my arm hurts so much." He reached around and pulled it out with a sickening sound, setting the weapon beside him.

"Ow."

Wimp. "Idiot." Fool. "Half-wit." Murderer. He cringed noticeably and stopped talking. He and his wolf obviously hated each other or got along really well.

"Why are you just out walking?"

Eliana cringed at the sickening sound while watching James pulled the weapon out from his arm. She then tilted her head once more as there was a series of comments, but she assumed they weren't towards her. At least, she was kind of hoping. Just leave now, hurry up. No. "Because there isn't anything better to do."

She leaned forward to take James' arm, moving it surprisingly careful as she was attempting to look at the wound he had on his arm and gauge how bad it might've been. "Do you want me to fix it?" She asked curiously. No. Food. I'm not even hungry anymore!

"If you don't mind, it'd be appreciated." He smiled and nodded to her. "Kinda hard to reach back there." Obviously. "Be polite." She can't even hear me. "I don't care." You should. "I'll not have you talking bad about new friends." 'I'll say what I want.' He growled audibly. Quite bluntly, he said in an irritated voice, "How do you shut yours up?"

He looked more than a little desperate to find out. Why not? He and his wolf obviously fought over a lot; no wonder he was crazy.

Eliana laughed audibly, a pleasant sound to the ears. "I don't shut it up." That's right you don't. She gave a soft snicker to herself. We always talk. "We just don't argue as much. Because she usually knows what's right. They only want what's best for you, the wolf's." She paused. Because we are you. "They simply are protecting themselves, in a way." She continued, making a slight face at herself before she stood up.

"Anyways.. Come on."

He sighed and stood. I told you so! Finally, someone who's reasonable. "Oh, shut it." He told the wolf. "So, thanks for the help. I think I'll be on my way." He smiled, bowed slightly, and turned to walk back towards the bus, just to make sure he didn't drop anything, holding the Morning Star in one hand.

...Where are you going? "Away from here." Away from the first woman- the first person, who's ever been friendly to you? "Yup." Why!? "I dunno. I guess I don't like saying good bye to people I know."

Eliana just kind of stood there as James walked away with a blink. He's just walking away?! Possibly.. You're the one who said he was crazy. That... Didn't mean let him get away! But you said... Get him! Rolling her eyes at herself, Eliana sighed deeply, and was urged by her wolf to walk forward, stalking after James silently.

"Fine, if you won't come with me, then I'll just follow you." She stated, when she was almost right behind James. It'd be easier alone.. But it's a person! So.. Just, stay.

"Suit yourself. But I don't like buildings, so get used to concrete if you stay with me." Be friendlier. "No." Finding nothing as they made their way back to the bus, he shoved his gear quite carelessly under it and shamelessly too his clothes off. He looks at her quizzically and, as if it explains everything, says, "I'm going hunting."

You took your clothes off. Are you crazy? Of course you're crazy. Why are we crazy? He changed forms quite quickly and took off at a run towards the forest, just a matter of minutes a way, as the bus was at the edge of town, giving him the easiest access to his primary food source.

As he neared the forest, he slowed and became more cautious before entering the woods.

Still be better if we went alone... No. No more alone. "Fine." She grumbled to herself, right before James started taking off his clothes. She gave him a quizzical look to match what he was giving her, at the same time looking at him as if he were crazy. He wasn't trying in the least to hide anything. Hunting! With another wolf! Hurry up, follow! Shh.

She stared after him as he had shifted, waiting, waiting, before stripping her own clothes so they wouldn't get ruined, placing her sword carefully beside his own things, before shifting, her wolf form being that of a small black wolf, and quickly sprinted to catch up with James. Her wolf very nearly purred again, relishing the breeze that blew over and through her fur.

James sniffed one of the more popular game trails, realizing she'd really followed him. The most recent scent was that of a rabbit. Hard to catch. He sniffed around a bit more before glancing at her. His form was that of a large, but bone-thin, brown wolf. The wolf was more than a little pleased, but he just gave her a brief awed look like 'She hasn't killed me yet'.

He began following the next set of tracks he found; a small deer. He didn't look back. Didn't do anything. He just kept following the tracks. Be friendlier. No.

With her ears perked up, Eliana trotted after James, in all truth looking him over again. She couldn't remember the last time she had seen another wolf. Not- Shh. She silenced her wolf before she would hear anything from it, grunting lowly to herself. She sniffed along the ground at times before raising her head again to continue after James, tail swinging side to side as she did but not quite wagging.

When catching the deer scent, which she assumed was what James had started following, she quickened her pace to a brisk walk, catching up so she'd be walking beside him, giving him a sideways look as if to say, 'Come on.' Before she picked up the pace further, to very nearly a run but more so in a jog, as far as a wolf goes. Deer- Almost there. Close by. Run in, and out.
