- After a while I will be disinclined to take on new applicants unless they're replacing a character that has been killed off, to keep the story from having too many random "and then Yva showed up and started talking with a magical knowledge of what's going on!" moments. While this RP is never closed, after the ball gets rolling, admissions will be restricted.
- I do have an expectation that each post serves to both develop the scene and the action. Help me envision what is going on and immerse me in the scene you are creating, but don't let that get in the way of pushing forward the plot. If that means you need to write a longer post, write a longer post. If you're very succinct, write a shorter post. I have no min/max word counts because I firmly believe that is BS.
- This is not entirely PG13. People do what they must in order to get ahead. My only rule is no porn-y stuff, partly because it's a site rule and partly because I plain don't want it in my RP. If your character is a war vet, they probably have a mouth on them- and let that part of their history shine on through. But please don't be crude or take advantage of this rule, which is intended to nurture creativity though freedom, not give free rein to write the most gruesome story possible.
- On a similar note, I do encourage people to try writing characters they don't usually work with. For this reason, in the CS I have a section saying "willing to mentor: y/n" and "areas of expertise"/"in need of mentoring: y/n" and "areas of improvement". Branch out and try something new! People from all walks of life will be affected by this and drawn into the events to come. If you have the free time, please sign up to mentor!
You'll get extra double brownie points in my friendship book. If you can't, that's fine too, but only normal brownie points in my friendship book for you.
- I have never had to ban someone from one of my threads. Please don't be the first. Play nice. If you need me to explain what this means to you, I will, but I hope that at this caliber of RP we all know: don't godmod, don't Mary Sue, don't harass other players... Don't be a jerk.
- Please skim the entire lore part before you make your character, but read the parts relevant to your character in full. For example, a miner would know all the ores and mines in Astraria, but a farmer might not know the difference between iron and steel, or particularly care. An astrologer (not astronomer) will know all about the stars, but a miner might just know their sun sign and the names of the planets.
- This is always a WIP. This world will never be finished growing. If you have an idea, for the love of Tyra, tell me.
- Also, if you read this all, congratulations. No, you don't have to put a code word in your character sheet to "prove" you did. I'd like to believe we're all a bit more mature than that.
- I obviously reserve the right to change these rules if I need to.
