Futuristic Welcome to Doxos! (Extra)

Tasteless

Boink Bean
Flora
Vuspow
This mysterious plant was the first to be spotted by Drone 001. During the day it emits an almost mesmerizing blue glow, the light pulsating similar to a heart beat. This is due to the electrical current coursing through the plant. It can be used to start and maintain a healthy fire, though the flame will burn a light shade a blue or occasionally purple depending on the maturity. This beautiful plant gains its energy from the warmth and sunlight, using the light to charge its current. During the night it will take a defensive stance, protecting its precious bulb in thick, black leaves that are protected with thorns. Touching the bulb will result in a nasty shock, while not powerful enough to stun a human, the only way to safely and effectively remove the bulb is to sever the base from the roots.
Cefine
The fruit of this plant can be juiced, it is rich in vitamins and is desired for its sweet taste. It is a small bush flora, the fruit dangles down from thin vines. The leaves and fruit of this plant range from a light pink, the bud of the vines will have a small delicate flower when the fruit still needs time to grow, but eventually will turn fuchsia in color when fully ripe. This flora has no defense mechanism, making it easy food for herbivores and omnivores that roam the land.
Irum
This flora can only be found in specific areas, typically near bodies of water. It resembles tall grass that is yellowish in color. It has various vitamins and can be smoked or chewed to relieve pain or even ward off infection. Irum can also be ground into a thick paste and be used to protect wounds from outside bacteria. This plant is another common food of herbivores but omnivores don't seem to take particular interest in it.
Vuin
This wonderful plant is truly something else. Similar to an exotic pitcher plant, this flora is capable of storing fresh water and circulating it to its other cup like leaves to preserve it. When it is holding water, the Vuin will emit a dim purple and yellow glow. Though, animals avoid this plant due to a pungent scent that wards them off. Though, the scent does not harm humans in any way, and the Vuin could be vital for survival for any explorer that gets separated from the colony. When a Vuin does not contain water, it will be solid black in color.
Obloss
Obloss is a tall, fern like plant. It takes on a blue-green color, yet has wonderful healing properties. It can be used to cleanse a wound, thought the taste is incredibly bitter it can also be used as a pain reliever. When eaten by a herbivore, it tends to make them drowsy. It could possibly be used as a narcotic to tranquilize animals without harming or stressing the creature. Heavy doses of this plant could become toxic to humans, as the chemical balance in the plant is very potent. Use with caution if not supervised by a medical professional.
Dangerous Flora
Gosie
Gosie is a very toxic, mushroom like flora. It can typically be found nestled in thick moss, blending in beautifully with its green color. Gosie is incredibly poisonous if ingested, causing intense abdominal pain, swelling and not long after, death. During the spring Gosie releases toxic spores that emit a very pungent odor. Inhaling too much of this toxin can cause a grown man to become nauseous and disoriented, prolonged inhalation can result in unconsciousness and blood deprivation to the brain.
Adlorn
This is a deceiving flora. It uses its beautiful colors to draw in small bugs and animals, but once the victim is close enough the Adlorn will launch outwards and clamp its jaw like leaves around the victim. The plant hasn't been spotted large enough to even threaten a human, but the acid that resides within its bulb is incredibly dangerous. If it somehow ends up within a human body, it will only take moments for it to begin dissolving major organs, causing convulsions, foaming of the mouth, profuse internal bleeding and death. Identifiable by its vibrant colors and open leaves with what resembles teeth.
Aislet
Beware of this plant. It looks harmless, and bares beautiful fruit. The Aislet is noticeable due to its thick, branch like roots that can be seen partly above ground. From the roots it has a large blue bulb with white speckles, in these bulbs is a potent poison that is stronger than a rattle snakes venom. From the bulb emerges beautiful green leaves, which sprout small red berries. These berries all contain the potent toxin from the bulb. Aislet will also bloom beautiful orange flowers the bring a pleasant aroma, but are also incredibly toxic if ingested. All creatures give this plant a very wide birth, which causes them to grow quite large and potent enough to kill in minutes.
Fauna
Fican
Fican is a strict herbivore, yet it is the master of disguise. This strange creature has split hooves like a deer, but its flesh resembles that of a plant. They typically have white or cream fur that extends out into hardened plates that resemble petals. These plates are typically pink or red with an eye pattern near the center to deter predators if they can be seen. They do not have antlers per-say but instead the males sport two elongated plates that grow larger the older the males get. Both genders have short, sharp plates around the jawline, and are often seen using them as weapons in a last ditch effort to survive.
The males can be quite aggressive if they think they are larger than a predator, they are also territorial. Do not run from a charging male.
Kahorn
This is another split hoofed herbivore, they seem to form large herds and prefer to stay around bodies of water. They are larger than the Fican, with antlers that resemble that of a moose. They typically have thick, dark brown fur with a cream colored underbelly and legs. Along with the males powerful antlers, both genders both posses a sharp upturned horn at the end of their snout. Both genders can be aggressive, males tend to be territorial while females will protect the offspring at all costs. When confronted by a predator, the females will form a defensive circle around the young. If you are charges by a Kahorn, run.
Drud
Another herbivore with split hooves, yet a truly beautiful creature. The drud form herds of three or four, with a singular dominant male. They resemble mountain goats, with the males possessing powerful, sharp horns. Instead of these horns growing in a circular shape like back on earth, the Drud's horns grow straight backwards with the tips curving upwards, older males will often have a split in their horns that continues to grow towards their backs. These beautiful creatures are typically white or cream in color, with a deep crimson on their legs, tails and backs. The males have black speckles from their necks to lower backs, which then transition into black stripes down their hind legs and tails. Instead of a short tail, the Drud has a very long, fluffy tail. we are unsure of how the tail benefits the Drud. They also have incredible vision, with two sets of eyes. One set is in in the traditional spot while the second set is located closer to their ears. They spook very easily, and will always flee.
Listoi
One of the few avian-like creatures to have a clear photo. The Listoi makes its nest high within the ancient trees, and sing beautiful songs. The strange thing is they seem to sing in unison during spring, almost like a mating chant of sorts. They feed primarily on the Cefine and Obloss plants, and seemed to have gained a resistance to the Obloss plants sedating effects. They have cyan blue around their heads, necks and wings with their bodies being primarily black. The males have dark blue elongated feathers around their cheeks and chests, which fluff out during spring. Their eyes are dark, but in the correct lighting reflect a blue color. Like most birds, they fly away the moment they sense a threat.
Qezix
A truly adorable find, the Qezix are incredibly skittish and hide in burrows underground in large family units. They closely resemble rabbits, with a few minor changes. They are typically brown with a black mask and paws. They also have one to three black rings around their abdomens and tails, with the end of their long tails being fluffy and white. There was a pure white Qezix spotted, but since they typically enjoy burrowing around the water to eat the Irum the young white Qezix didn't last long due to poor camouflage. The males have a horn that is incredibly smooth and pointed, though they only use the weapon when battling other Qezix.
Dangerous Fauna
Sagod
Beware of these stealthy predators, we lost several high flying drones to them. They prefer to hide within the trees, stalking from above with deadly silence and shocking precision. They seem to slightly resemble felines, but not by much. They are nearly hairless, and instead have strong plates along their bodies that vary in color. The only fur they have is typically from the scruff to mid-back, and a few tufts on their tails. They have massive claws that they use to climb with ease, as well as use against their unfortunate prey. Their jaws aren't like most of the creatures, and instead almost resemble that of a snake. With large fangs on the first row of teeth and the second row being molars.
Halur
The Halur is quite interesting, they resemble an avian but are also quadrupedal. They have a beak like snout, but they also have razor sharp teeth within the beak. Their front legs have flesh that resembles wings without feathers and seems to be used for short gliding bouts. The few feathers they do have are on the top of their heads, and stand straight when they feel threatened. They typically are seen with slick white bodies and orange masks, wings, paws and underbelly. They seem primarily interested in Qezik as their prey and particularly unhappy with Sagods when the pair come across one another.
Uluxul
Another adorable find, yet one to be taken seriously. The Uluxul is the closest resemblance to an Earth creature, which just so happens to be the house cat. Yet these felines are vicious, and will strike back is they are cornered. The seem to congregate in large gangs, and hunt Qezix and Listoi as their primary diet. They come in various colors, but more commonly seen with very dark fur to help disguise themselves at night, the more typical time that the hunt.
Sarnur
A wolf like creature, but larger than the wolves from Earth. The Sarnur are 210cm to 190cm tall when full grown, the weight is undetermined as of now. They have a wide color range from black, to white, brown or cream. The Sarnur are fierce carnivores with incredibly sharp teeth and an incredible temper. The can roam alone or in large packs, with typically one alpha who is the largest of the group. They hunt all herbivores and even the occasional Halur and Sagod. Avoid at all costs.
