Backstory: Raised in a rural settlement in a cabin, Horatio's mother was known as the farmhand of the house, feeding the family though her cooking skills or talent with a home-grown garden. His father, however, was the one who brought the bacon home, literally. Spending his work hunting wild boar and other creatures with a guild, Horatio's father taught the boy everything he knew about weapons, from a simple pistol to a long-barreled rifle. At the age of 21, Horatio left home in a sense of wanderlust, with his father's old rifle, some ammunition, a pack of food, and a bag full of currency, ready to make a name for himself.

Name: Rex Rakesh

Species: Rakshasa (Type of Devil)

Backstory: Rex was born thousands of years ago in the nine hells with the rest of the Rakshasa in the circle of greed. Tasked with hording and catalouging the demon lord of greeds wealth rex was uniquely gifted amonst his brethren. While many existed who were stronger or more magically talented than him few existed who were as cunning. He managed to hustle many of his brethren out of their hordes gaining one of the largest wealth piles in the circle of greed. He seemed a prime candidate to become a duke of hell however this promotion never came.

His progress was thrown off when he found himself summoned to a dimensionally locked plane that he could not escape. Much to his surprise and confoundment it was a young girl who had called him. He was going to kill her for such insolence but an older man he presumed to be her teacher informed him that they were all in an educational facility with several hundred other mages nearby. Many of whome would pose a threat even to a rakshasa. As such rex made a deal with the two, escort him to the border of the nearest nation other than the one they were in and the devil would forgive the inconvenience.

They agreed and the devil found himself within the empire. His first order of buisness was to turn a shoddy bandit group into an organization which could turn a profit. Then when the authorities came for them rex sold them out for their bounties literally leading his own men to the gallows for a nice sack of gold. He then spent said gold on a large luxary tent and set up his bazaar on the outskirts of a large city. Eventually he met a beholder named Riktell and the two made several deals to balances of which have all been paid since. Now he serves as a merchant of rare and unique items all the while stacking himself up a larger and larger horde.

Likes: Gold, Respect, Magical items, Spell cubes, Making a good deal, people with unique talants.

Dislikes: What he deems as worthless, Weak beings, people thinking they are his equal, Losing wealth, Fools who think to lie to him.

Occupation: Merchant/Collector


Magical abilities:
Rakshasa- The animal headed demons of the greed circle of the nine hells have a wode range of abiliites that make them terrifying opponents and even more terrifying politicians. They are immune to all low and mid level spells with only the mightiest of magics being able to effect them. Futhermore they are impervious to mundane weapons of all kinds. He possesses supernatural physical, strength, speed, stamina, and endurance comparable to that of a tiger and a man combined. However aside from their naturally high magical power the most famous ability of a rakshasa is the ability to see into the minds of those within visual range of them. All of these comvine to make rakshasa a very dangerous devil to early adventurers.

Bow caster- Rex in particular is a relatively talented mage archer, known for weilding enchanted arrows with a variety of effects to cripple his foes from a distance before swooping in to claim their souls. His archery has been honed by over a thousand years experience.

Magical items:
Quiver of endless arrows- An enchanted quiver that teleports arrows fired back to their place within the quiver after they have reached their mark. It seems to only hold 3 arrows but they will repair if broken and always respawn after striking the target. The 3 arrows are inscribed with blank runes that can be shifted to fire enchantments as needed.

Pendant of many tongues- a medallion that allows Rex to speak any language aside from divine. He primarily uses it to communicate with beings and paired with his telepathy it is rather useful.

Ring of Cursebane- an expensive ruby ring that can be sacrifieced to remove any curses or debuffs within a 30ft radius of Rex. This is a one time use.

Skills:
Archery- Rex has been interested in bows for at least 1300 years. He has since went out of his way to improve his draw speed, accuracy, and even learn trickshots.

Merchantile- Rakshasa are naturally good mechants, rex is a posterchild for such talents however being able to earn coin off of a simple rock if need be.

Appraisal- Nothing of value escapes the eye of a rakshasa, they are capable of accurately predicting the price of nearly anything.

Strategy- you dont make it for thousands of years with brothers and sisters just as greedy as you but stronger if you dont have a good head on your shoulders.

Stealth- having tiger paws for feet have their perks, he can silently move with the utmost grace further augmented by his supernatural nature.

Identifying magic-much like appraisal rakshasa can sense magic in an item and even identify its effects, duration charges, and power.

Infernal wisdom- Rex possesses intimate knowledge of the nine hells and demons, devils, and other dark or evil forces.

Weapons:
Masterworked Shortbow- a non enchanted bow with expertly crafted design. It has a draw strength of an astounding 400lbs.

Strengths:
Heavy anti mage- Rex is a nightmare for mages who arent the top tier. Even those who are top tier find themselves notably cautious of such a devil.

Wisdom- Rex is old and has been here a long time. As such he has done many things and aquired experience in many fields. Ruthless as he may be he is more than willing to share knowledge for a minimal fee.

Weaknesses:
Magical items- Rakshasa are not immune to magical items and can be injured by any magic weapon.

Greed- rex will do anything for wealth even if it risks his own life.

Psychic power- magic offers no defense against psychic power and while his telepathy offers much resistance to other telepaths he has no defense whatsoever to psychic energy.

The cycle- demons and devils usually cannot die and instead are sent back to their realm of origin upon their destruction. However with this dimension being locked rex cannot reform in the 9 hells and dying here will result in him becoming a disembodied spirit for an undetermined amount of time.

Miscellaneous stuff: once made a deal with Riktell to turn his hands right side in (rakshasa have palm out facing hands.) This was done to more easily use the tools of this world and was accomplished with a low level wish spell.

Reason for being on this quest: Riktell said their was treasure to be had.​

Backstory: (you know what this is)

personality: skylar is rather different to most doppelgängers they tend to be quiet and reserved individuals, while skylar is a great deal more flamboyant and eccentric,hes happy to show off his shapeshifting abilities whenever he can rather enjoying it,he keeps a disconnect between himself and his “outfits“ as he calls them, to maintain a sense of self when copying people or in situations that require him to full immerse himself in the personality of the outfit,he's grown rather fond of copying attractive men and woman, having grown over the years a vast closet of such forms of then wearing revealing clothing. He does deeply care for those he managed to form attachments with as himself... since it’s hard to when your often being someone else. Although there is another side to skylar as easily as the are able to change forms and personality skylar can change form his more usually eccentric nature into a far more serious criminal persona this one tend to only appear when he’s got to focus or do an assassination job.

magical abilities: while not strictly magical skylars natural shapeshifting has been modified by something aside form being able to perfectly replicate any humanoid forms, he can also take form forms of many non humanoid entities some restrictions apply however he can only increase his size by a certain amount so no copying giants, and shrinking in size is Incredibly painful depending on how small it is, thusly he tends to avoid doing this as much as possible. along with this shapeshifting there capable of a few more "niche" shape changes (these will be explained in weapons)

weapons:
bladed arm- morphing his arm into a large sharp blade this is one of skylars principle weapons
"jaws"- morphing a largemouth into his body allow skylar to engulf some opponents into his body that are smaller or of similar size to him... he really does this as its uncomfortable to digest them.. or just store and transport them like that though the latter is what he normally uses this ability for.
spell slinger- a actual "gun" more of a small longer-range way of firing spell cube spells
strengths:
copying others: overall skylars ability to replicate others is his greatest strength
hidden weaponry: since most of skylars weaponry is internal meaning even with scrying it’s hard to detect

weaknesses:
slip ups and distractions: even though skylar is a expert he can’t know everything about a person and cant replicate there magical proficiency meaning there is chances he could slip up.. and well he really has a thing for attractive people prone for fawning over them a bit
lack of magic: skylar is by no means any sort of spell caster while they do use spell cubes they inheritly are unskilled I magic giving them a major disadvantage in certain circumstances

Name: Keith Roye

Species: Human

Backstory: Keith was a fan of theatrics - with a die-hard appreciation and thirst to get involved himself. And at one point, he did, but the results and happenings were not what he expected, as he was to be involved in the most violent 'display' ever. This event in question was named 'The Purge of Montparnasse', and Keith was to play the role of the main villain - who inevitably and would brutally die - not just in character, but they who played them as well. Digging in at one point and finding this out, Keith staged a rebellion from behind the scenes and practically burnt the whole thing to the ground, with all of the people cast for it surviving. Keith used this event later on to essentially propel himself to a small berth of fame, as nobody knew any of the survivors outside of the event actually happening. It was on that day that Keith abandoned his will to work with others ever since that young age, and has yet to 'reclaim' that will - having been doing what he does all alone and with no help.

Personality: A personified trickster, gentleman and something of a jerk, Keith is a well-mannered yet also rude man for what he is and who he is. While aptly one-dimensional in this regard, to do what he does with that attitude in mind, he tries his best at all times to give people who came to see him and/or work with him exactly what they bargained for - and to that extent, Keith sticks to his words and always grants that which he aims to. On the other hand, when you get to his actual magician talent, he is very touchy and articulate about everything - though he loves what he does, do 'not' interfere with his acts unless you figure being one of his 'volunteers' for something is a good idea (actually getting involved yourself may prove dangerous, after all).

Magical abilities: Keith's magical abilities are simple and to the point - while not aptly diverse, he is able to use psychokinetic-like force to lift one or multiple things up at his own discretion, not including himself, make duplicates and illusions of anything within reason, and has just as much access to full power counterspells to nullify any magical spell he does not intend and/or want (though the downside to all of these abilities is that they can only be used for a short time on account of how versatile and simple they 'are', and the fact he has access to all of them at any time).

Magical items: His 'magic tricks' are also portable spells he can activate and de-activate at any time (think of it like a capsule sort of system - he can take them out in an instant and recall them just as fast - and they're cube-like storages).

Skills: Escape artist supreme, proficient in magic arts, unpredictable

Weapons: Keith's blade is a love letter between swords and sorcery - not only does it allow his magical abilities to be far stronger than normal, it doubles 'as' a sword while making them stronger.

Strengths:
>Good luck figuring out what he's up to - and not only will he never tell anyone what he does, nobody but Keith himself knows what he's doing. Maybe not a great strength, but as all magicians are sworn to secrecy, Keith follows in tandem. When he 'does' undertake his plans, prepare for 'anything' as you'll never know what he may pull out of that hat of his (his bag of tricks 'is' the hat, essentially).
>Fortunately he's not defenceless - magician motifs aside, Keith possesses attributes akin to a spell-sword in terms of skills. Not only does this mean he can use his magic and his sword very well, but 'both' at the same time for incredible versatility and equally powerful forms of getting stuff done in the combat scene. While doing so, he often weaponizes his magic tricks as well!

Weaknesses:
>Same old, same old. See a trick once, expect to see it again with the same setup. Unless he puts together something new, expect Keith to be very predictable as he often re-uses his same line-up, combinations and skills in that order.
>Not actually that strong of a person. He's awfully weak physically, mentally 'and' spiritually - he won't be able to take a lot of any form of punishment once he's focused down especially. He can try to resist, but he ultimately cannot hold on for long.

Miscellaneous stuff: His hat is where he stores his magical items in - for the hat itself is an endless void that only 'dispenses' items when it is reached into (as to not randomly have things fall 'out' of said hat onto his head while he is wearing it).

Reason for being on this quest: Keith has challenged himself to not only partake in combat more often with his magical tricks, but also perfect them generally - in and out of combat situations, while still doing what he normally does. Practice makes perfect, you know! Though, he 'also' wound himself into a debt from Rikktell - something about 'not paying for magic', so while Keith is upset with it, he instead negotiated to pay with his time instead of with money to Rikktell, and has since been doing that the whole time.

Likes: The color red, Flirting with handsome men, Her Creatures, Skylar, & using her magic for personal gain.

Dislikes: the color blue, ugly men flirting with her, unruly summons, Rex Rakesh, Riktell.

Occupation: Entertainer/Summoner


Magical abilities:
Natural summoner- Delilah has always been talanted in the conjuration school of magic. Her first summon having been done inadvertently at the age of 6, and her biggest folly being at age 7 as she began to study and accidentally summoned a high level devil from the nine hells circle of greed. She is able to perform summons that seem beyond a woman of her age and can even summon up to two creatures simultainiously. Her most powerful current summon is a young adult red dragon named Bruce. While her most common summon is a moderately sized flock of cardinals.

Magical items:
Dominion mirror- A rare mirror made for summoners, it causes the creatures summoned through it to be both utterly under her control and also allows her to dispell them at will, the later ability protects her summons against unwilling dispell.
