We Go Bump in the Night (Official RP Thread)

Cray and Ahri stood still, watching the duo fight each other with confused looks. Cray then walks toward the new kid, offering his hand to help him up. "I'm sorry to say this, but your buddy here is right. You can't go back to that world. You're stuck here fore the rest of your life. I've been stuck here for six years."

"Hey, Cray, what are you doing?" Ahriman asks, drooling a little. "I'm hungry."

"I'll feed you later Ahri," Cray says as he looks back at his partner. He then turns back to the new guy with a smile. "I'm Cray Sonas, by the way. My hungry monster over there is Ahriman, but I call him Ahri for short. What's your name?"

Leon and Pikachu both paused when their enemy approached. Pikachu shot a look at Leon and said, "I can take him now!"

Just as Pikachu began to jump out and attack Cray, leon stopped him and held him in his arms. "Nice to meet you I'm Leon the Great, and this is Pikachu who was born the way he was without having to evolve because of a glitch-"

"This isn't some stupid game, Leon!" barked Pikachu.

"Pikachu, say woof!"

"Don't assume that I'm going to listen to your orders!"
(I don't know... :3)

"Ha, you guys are funny," Cray laughs. "But this isn't a game, though. Once you grab the egg, you can't go back to the real world. You're stick here for the rest of your life. Like I've said, I've been stuck here for six years. Also, you don't age in this world. I was ten years old when I came to this world, but haven't I gotten any older as the years passed." He rubs the back of his head. "So, yeah, I'm stuck here also."

Over hearing some boys words about being stuck here forever, Clementine's eyes widened in horror. Turning around quickly to face the boy, the little girl stomped over to the two, Totaru following her after he let go of the other boy's head. Was she really going to be stuck here...forever...? All because of that little, annoying-- Clementine turned to glare at Totaru, a very terrifying sight to see.

"What do you mean I'm stuck here forever?!" Clementine growled lowly at the boy, folding her arms over her chest and puffing out her cheeks. She didn't want to be stuck here forever! Clementine wanted to grow old and die! Get rich and buy a few dogs and cats! Who the hell made such a place in the first place? "I will get out of here! Whether you like it or not!" Kicking the boy in the shins, Clementine forcefully grabbed Totaru and threw him at the boy. But, how much damage could a nine year old girl really do?

When the small girl walked up to them and started yelling, Leon just stood there and smiled, even when she kicked Cray in the shins. "Hi there, I'm Leon, this is Pikachu, those two are Crayfish and Ariman. Woukd you like to join our adventure in this game?" He acted calmly, and friendly, giving off a sunny aura in this world of darkness.

Pikachu glared at the people around him, watching when the girl through the tiny white puffball at Cray. Was that her monster? Pikachu couldn't help but stare, though he knew he shouldn't assume it was weak because of its size.

There it was, the object of all his fears staring at him with it's piercing yellow eyes, slavering drool from it fang rimmed mouth and squeeing........Squeeing?! Edgar was surprised, monsters weren't supposed to....squee!? He tried to lie still and hoped the 'squeeing' monster of his nightmares would leave him alone but alas, he was not quite so unlucky. Instead of leaving, the little green creature whistled listlessly and curled up on his chest, too frightened to move he simply lay back on his pillow and fell asleep. Strangely, it was a dreamless sleep, it was accompanied by the soft sound of purring.

When morning came, Edgar found himself looking face to face at a green frog thing, his memory of the prior night flooded back and he almost jumped right out of his skin, but there it was again, that unsettling squeeing. Edgar couldn't consolidate the image he was seeing with the sound he was hearing. His stomach grumbled, he was hungry. At the sound of his growling hunger the little monster visibly perked up, the antennas Edgar had missed before shot straight up like rigid rods. In seconds the beast was gone and Edgar sighed relieved. He sat up to look at his forested surroundings. Beams of light shone through gaps in the canopy, wind rustled through the dark green leaves and Edgar had no idea where he was. Tears welled up in his eyes when he realised he was no longer on the hill outside his home and for a long while he sobbed, his worst fear had come true; he was lost with no way home.

Over his sobbing Edgar couldn't hear the crunch of foliage on the ground or snap of branches or even the looming shadow that rose above him and blocked out what little light there was. He did however notice, the large furry hand that wrapped itself around his body, the ground that parted from his feet as he was lifted into the air, the low hum of an echoing growl and a pair of huge, emotionless yellow eyes that looked on him with unchained primal hunger. Edgar whimpered and struggled in futility. Slowly it dawned upon him that the little green creature from before had not been the thing that haunted his dreams. It was in fact this huge monster, he was so tall in fact that the light barely touched its face and it appeared to be shrouded in shadow. All Edgar could do was whimper and watch as his doom approached. He could feel the heat and smell the stench of the creature's breath, Edgar wished with all his might that someone or even something would save him.

There was deep laugh from the beast as it lifted Edgar high into the air and one giant finger at a time the beast was letting him go. Then there was some sort of screech and he was dropped. The fall felt like it lasted forever but when it ended, he was surprised to find that he landed on the ground, it was painful to be sure but he was happy it wasn't the wet slobbery insides of a monster the size of a tree. There was a small squee near his head and Edgar looked up to see his tiny green friend. He got to his feet a little slowly, the pain of his fall was throbbing through the left side of his body. He winced at the pain but struggled after the little green monster, the trees grew thinner the longer they ran until finally they broke free of the small wooded area, the dead foliage and the grass slowly disappeared into sand. The salty tang of the sea hit him in the face like a miss-aimed (or most likely a totally well aimed) careening soccer ball.

An ear splitting roar emanated from the small wood behind them followed by the loud creaking of breaking trees, the monster wasn't dead but angry and it looked like it was heading straight for them. Forgetting about his immediate pain Edgar scooped up his little friend and began sprinting his wary around a bend in the shore. Around the corner he found a city, not too far from him. With little need for any further incentive he began hoofing his way towards the city, hopefully the monster wouldn't follow him, but if it did, he hoped someone would help him.

Cray falls to the ground, clutching his shins. "Ow, what the heck was that for?" He grumbles at the girl who kicked him.

"Master Cray!" Ahriman says as he flies toward the girl with his teeth bared.

"Hold it, Ahri, I don't think she meant it." He calls off Ahriman and catches the monster the girl threw at him. He giggled at its smallness and cuteness. He then looks up at the girl. "Try as much as you want. There's no way back to the normal world, sorry. The Queen of this world might know how, though, but I'm not sure."

One after one, they fell as soon as they came, each monster taken down with ease. Size didn't matter to this demon of a monster, he fought to win. "Those who take the lives of others without proper justification for their unjust actions, don't deserve to live, let alone own a monster..." a rather deep yet raspy voice exclaimed, crouching with his cursed blade in his grasp. The blade itself was enveloped in a type of red electricity, no doubt determining it's demonic appearance. The monster then charged at the group of monsters which weren't so evil, but the their owner being another story, gave him no choice but to take care of them. He jumped into the air and was quickly joined by five other beings which looked exactly like him, each carrying the same weapon he had equipped. They all jumped onto a monster, skewering them with ease an jumping off, and piercing their head with the cursed blades they all had, making the deaths of their enemy painless and quick. They all turned to the group of tamers and placed their hands by their sides, putting their hands close together and charging up a type of black looking energy ball in his hand, which seemingly started to swallow everything within a small radius. They had all bolted at the sight, knowing that they were going to be the next target of the demonic monster's perplexing attack. They had all focused their attack by placing each 'sphere' inside the other, watching as it grew into a very large size. They dropped the large amount of energy and watched it as it impacted through the ground, making a large circular yet somehow flat, crater. They all then seemed to dog pile onto the original being and disappeared almost instantaneously.

"They never stood a chance..." the monster muttered, looking at the bodies which lied on the ground, pooling blood. He was consumed by pity and decided to take it upon himself to take the bodies an bury them respectfully. He closed the eyes of the monsters who had them opened and continued to carry their bleeding bodies into the crater, piling them next to each other, one by one, until they were all inside the mass grave. He buried the crater with surrounding dirt, taking his cursed blade to a large boulder and cutting out a somewhat large slab from it, etching in the letters R, I, and P. With a quick swipe of the blade, he splattered the blood onto the pseudo tombstone. He was a being of vengeance, much like his owner. "I understand not why these children must go around killing each other." the monster muttered, slightly annoyed by it all. He then placed a hand on the tombstone and said a prayer for all the monsters that fell by his blade in this battle. He had learned to do this from his trainer, but when asked why, he got no answer. He then took his blade and slashed a 'V' onto the slab of stone and put it away, walking passed the grave and to the destination of his tamer. After all, he had a class to teach.

Meanwhile, at Baybaha...

"Oi Dante, when is V supposed to be here, the class is starting soon..." a redheaded boy asked. It was none other than the Area Master, Blake. He always stayed for Dante's training classes, seeing to it that he never went overboard, sometimes even going as far as to participate in the classes as either a helper or student. Although, he was usually a helper in these cases, being that both him and Dante were a type of hands on people.

"Just a little longer. His punctuality is remarkable, this is the way of the ninja..." Dante replied from behind a boulder, changing into more appropriate beach attire. Mainly just shorts, but still, it was more appropriate compared to what he had worn earlier. He then walked over to Blake and placed a firm hand on his shoulder. "Have faith my friend, he will come... He always does." he added, removing his hand from Blake's shoulder and looked over at the group of eager students. Their ages ranged from five to ten, and their monsters were of either the adolescent or child stage. "Alright students, reform into a group." Dante exclaimed, watching as Blake took his surf board and stuck it into the sand. He then took a spot next to Dante and stood there patiently, wondering where his monster was. "Okay class, I want each of you to find a partner, one you've preferably never met before, and start team exercises until further orders are given." Dante said, sitting on the floor with his legs crossed, one over the other and going into a type of meditation-like state, preparing his mind for the challenges ahead.

Blake decided to follow Dante's cue and did the same as he did. Blake wasn't fond of meditation, he was too much of a fidgety person to be able to sit in one spot immobile, but it seemed to relax Dante, so he thought why not try it out; closing his eyes in a more contemplative state. But while he tried to meditate, all he could think about was the location of his partner, Exo. If anything, he was probably wading in a tide pool or something along those lines. He guessed it couldn't be helped. After all, both Blake and Exo were extremely fond of the water.

Warren had always wondered why the sky over 13th Avenue never seemed to change from its eternally gray state. The constant and silent dark clouds loomed over the Western portion of the Monster World, warning of a storm that would never come. It was a depressing and somewhat creepy sky, but it did fit the atmosphere of 13th Avenue, a quite depressing and creepy place. This was the part of the Monster World where the souls of dead monsters would go once their lives had ended. Of course, the ruler of this place would rather refer to them as friends rather than monsters, but it still didn't make 13th Avenue seem any less like a graveyard than an actual city. And of course, it probably didn't help that Warren took it upon himself to carve up tombstones for the departed, even if they were used as plaques to distinguish which soul resided where.

Dark and barren with streets littered with bones, there was very few signs of life in this kingdom. Occasionally, a monster or two would arrive for medical treatment, another part of Warren's job here, but few stayed once they were healed up, determined not to come back until the day they had no choice. Humans weren't even allowed in here, with Warren being one of the few exceptions. Lucy didn't like children, or any humans really but there were only children here. She hated the way monsters were being used for entertainment and mindless violence. With kids trying to kill each other left and right, monster fighting was a regular way of life in the Monster World. Well, everywhere but 13th Avenue. Lucy said she had no trouble with kids killing each other, but to drag monsters into it was too pitiful. Perhaps it was that sort of mentality that made Warren fear Lucy enough to agree to be the sort of gopher of 13th Avenue for nearly 80 years now.

Eyes closed, Warren was trying to take a nap but an annoying little cat kept waving his tail across his nose. Finally fed up with it, Warren grabbed Cheshire's tail, glaring at the smiling cat in the tree. "Do you mind? I'm trying to get some rest here."

The monster merely grinned wider than he already was. His tail quickly pulled out of his master's grip as it bopped the boy on the nose. "Fine. Suit yourself. Just thought you may want to look presentable for the little miss coming this way. She's almost here. And I'm not sure how she'd think about you slacking on the job."

"What?!" Upon hearing that, Warren dropped to the ground, trying to grab some tools and the gravestone he was working on earlier. He had to look as if he had been hard at work all this time. "Why didn't you tell me before?!" "I tried but you were pretty sound asleep." Attempting to scramble everything together, Lucy's sudden call made him drop everything, including the small tombstone which broke in half upon impact with the pavement.

"Warren? How are the stones coming for our new . . . friends?" The momentary pause had come from her spotting the broken tablet on the ground. Her sky blue eyes went up to meet Warren's dark brown ones, still waiting for an answer. The boy's cheeks turned pink as he scratched the back of his head nervously. "Well, I got the first two done but it looks like I'll have to start the third one over," he said, referring to the broken one at his feet.

Lucy bit her lip, thinking about something, but she ended up smiling faintly. "Why don't you take a break? You've been working real hard. I don't need you passing out. So, take a nap or something." "Oh, he's already on it, Miss," Cheshire mused. Warren shot him a quick glared, mouthing 'I'll kill you' before turning back to Lucy. "Yeah, I'll make sure to do that."

Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Abyss staring off into the East. "There something wrong with Abyss? Why does he keep staring that way?" "Hm? Can't you feel it, Warren?"

"Uh . . . Well . . . Maybe?" During his years in 13th Avenue, Warren had seen and grown rather accustomed to Lucy's . . . fragile mental state. And most of the time, he could understand the majority of what she was saying. This was not one of those times. He tried staring at whatever it was Abyss was looking at, trying to find something, anything, remotely out of the ordinary, but unfortunately found nothing. "I'm sorry. I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Something big is coming, Warren. Something real big."

Seeing her brother again after being apart for somewhere close to week was one of the little pleasures Angela cherished. Despite the fact that she had been to her brother's territory several times in the past, she judged that no one else could really get used to all the smog which hung over the city and practically darkened the clouds above the city. She coughed a little but as the smoke entered her system, but thought to just grin through that. It was part of big bro's city after all, a good sister has to support her brother and make sure he goes down the right path. Apparently, there was a new kid on watch who seemed to direct a hostile posture at her, she decided to have a little fun while waiting for her brother and "played" with new sentry. The dying screams of the little boy was like a crescendo in an orchestral master piece, it was a magnificent performance, but she knew just how cross big bro would be if he found out she killed another sentry again. She quickly had Brother incinerate the body.

It was a while later before her brother came running up to her from the distance she waved as he ran toward her. She locked him in a hug, "Big Bro, I had so much fun today at the estate. I killed a few children who thought they could escape and me and brother had cake for lunch!" She held him tighter. "Why do we have to be away from each other?" She asked in her most innocent voice, looking up to him with sorrowful eyes that were on the brink of tears. "Why can't you just be with me?" Today wasn't any different from all the other days she visited, she kept asking why and he'd answer the same thing over and over. Angela thought she'd found her big break only to be disappointed that they're both still separated, some days she wonders if they are more distant now than before. "My Queen, we should move this elsewhere. I fear unfriendly eyes are watching the scene." Brother pulled Angela away from Aidan. "Lord Aidan, would you escort us to your residence?" Brother was the definition of composure as he made his request. It wasn't that he was feared for the queen, it was more of not wanting engage in meaningless conflict.

Emi glared at the trespasser. "Oi! What are you doing here, earwig!?" Emi asked the arrogant battlefield crosser. Emi put her hands on her hips "I will have to put you in the royal prison provided you don't give me a decent answer to why you're here in ten seconds!" Candy dashed up to Emi, Hootenanny shortly following "Yeah! I'll help her! The two of us are an unstoppable force!" Candy pointed at Kilian as Hootenanny spit a ball of fire near Kilian to surprise him.
