(Asila is what is known as a 'truestar' Aeteron — conceived under sign of the wolf, watched by the wolf constellation, and born on the night of the wolf. It is extremely rare for an Aeteron to have the same stars over them for their entire cycle, and such a child is always welcomed by their clan. Only a truestar is born with the features of their sign - others have pointed, human-like ears and perhaps minor features.)

Name: Asila TeDorin
Age: 22
Race: Aeteron
Homeland: Iasta
Shard enhancement: Stamina, Reflexes, Scent
Equipment: Hunting Sword, Skinning Dagger, Throwing Knives

History: Despite her celebrated birth, Asila did not have an easy life. She was orphaned at a young age, her parents killed by overzealous Deoxan scouts near their border town. They were fought off, but a full-sized raiding party soon arrived to pillage and destroy. Everyone she cared about was killed before her eyes, and she was taken prisoner. Her first night as a captive awoke her shard. She slaughtered the one keeping her, tearing out his throat with her claws. She spent through the night in a violent tear, killing everyone in the camp.

She would have likely become a shattered if left alone, but a passing Vigilant sensed her and took her to the Vigil, where she was raised and trained. Slowly she would come out of her shell with the other new shards, and begin to come into her own.

Name: Bane (real name: Dietrich Fischer)
Age: 28
Race: human
Homeland: Deox
Shard enhancement: strength, durability, detection
Magic: -

Equipment
- Ein Stahl: A walking stick that houses a hidden sword. A simple arctech mechanism on the handle allows it to shoot a steel bullet once before needing a lengthy reload.
- Sack: A canvas helmet that Bane use to cover his head. It's always there, even when he's eating.
- Runecoins: A number of clay rune coins stored in a cointainer on his belt.

Personality: Bane is a man who values honesty and knowledge above all else, oftenly showing disregard at the method used as long as the result is achieved. After being betrayed he subconsciously becoming more distanced from other people.

History:
Deox is a kingdom obsessed with power. For some this might come as unnecessary savagery and a brewing threat that would explode anytime, but for some others this extreme meritrocracy turns the place into a land of opportunity for anyone who puts effort into what they do. As a brilliant mind dabbling in the arctech research its only natural for Dietrich Fischer to climb the societal ladder and found himself right under the wings of Hammon Rex, an influental political figure secretly wishing to dethrone the current empress, by words or by force.

At first Dietrich only help with technological research but soon he becomes more involved into the plan and Hammon treated him as his most trusted person. However, before they can finish their preparation the empress was able to sniff their scheme. Hammon used Dietrich as a scapegoat to save his position.

Dietrich was thrown into the lowest level dungeon as punishment. There's no light and no food there, most prisoners down here would die within a few days since no one would attend their needs. The man survived by licking water dripping from the ceiling and eating random corpses he found down there. It's probably rats, or maybe other humans. He didn't know, he didn't care. The lacks of food was agonizing, but the lacks of light was what turns his life into nightmare. Nothing to see, nothing to feel. His mind filled those voids with his worst nightmares, played over and over again. At first his sleep offers some sanctuary but it didn't take long for the nightmares to invade his dreams too. At one point Dietrich felts numb to everything, and he started to be able to 'see' in the darkness. Not with his eyes, but with his... heart?? Yeah, heart feels tasty.

Dietrich gradually lose his sanity and made his way back up, breaking through doors and bending cells barehanded. When he opened the door to the outside world the first thing he saw was a vigilant pointing her sword at him. There's some battle but he was finally subdued and sent to the Vigil.

Age : 20

Height : 4'11"

Eyes : Blue

Hair : Pale Blonde, colored with dye

Homeland : Tereil

Race: Aeteron

Enhancement: Durability | Strength | Stamina

Focus: Pandi the Bear

Equipment
Pandi the Bear - A stuffed and worn bear given to her by her Grandmother. It is also her magical focus. Do not touch the bear.
Pink Bag - A bag filled with writing tools, ribbons, a sewing kit, snacks (always snacks), useless junk and marbles. Tons of marbles.
Clubby the Club - A wooden club made of sturdy wood. It's painted in a pink color and has different markings; a childish smiley face drawn near the thicker part and a big "M" near the hilt.

Personality
Mina is childish, flippant and a bit on the crazy side of things. She doesn't take many things seriously, almost seems like she can't. It's clear after meeting her, a few screws are loose and for good reason. Her mental state is fractured and broken, she seems to escape reality and lives in a fantasy world all of her own. Her perspective is skewed to hell and no amount of trying to right those wires will do any good. She's almost too far gone and getting a glimpse of the real, vulnerable core of Mina is far and few in between; a rare occurrence. That being said, her subconscious is riddled with PTSD and guilt, so the girl often has nightmares. She has different triggers, and its best to avoid pushing her buttons. Unfortunately her trauma is tied into using her abilities causing her to go berserk like a wild bear. During this, it's best for allies to stay out of the way and point her in the direction of the enemy. She is however EXTREMELY protective over her friends and items she cares about.

History
Mina grew up in an Aeteron village and was born under the sign of the bear. The village was famous for their exports including dyes, clothing, pottery and fabrics. Her parents were well respected and for that reason she was a beloved child of the small village. She was a natural to the crafts and loved helping around the village. Unfortunately while seemingly kind and normal people on the outside, the family was far from perfect. The mother was adulterous and the father an alcoholic. They argued constantly and little Mina could only watch. This went on for years while they continued to keep up appearances.

One day while the family traveled to a more well known area to sell their goods and buy supplies, and while setting up camp for the night, things got out of hand. They had all the space and privacy to escalate in a physical fight. When Daddy hit Mommy, she shard inside of Mina awoke and she just wanted them to stop. Unfortunately she was much stronger than before and their bones were much more fragile than she understood.

An old woman who lived not too far away from their camp in the woods heard the screaming and then the crying. When she came to their camp she found the small girl sobbing and covered in the blood of her parents, their broken bodies littered beside her. She couldn't figure out why they wouldn't wake up.

The woman knew what happened, she could connect the dots and took pity on the girl. She brought her home and kept her locked up but comfortable. She nurtured the girl, fed her and clothed her but always kept her locked away. She became Mina's Grandmother from then on and the old woman changed her last name to cut ties with her clan. She loved the child very much and Mina loved her but she knew that she was a danger. So she sheltered her, kept her in a childlike innocence. This stunted Mina's growth and also seemed to preserve the shard within her from becoming more corrupted. Frozen in time, Mina was at least delayed from going down the dark and inevitable path. As a sort of counter to Mina's violent nature, the woman taught her her magic, a gentle and healing water magic, meant to buff, boost and assist and gave her Pandi which became her focus.

Still, time took a toll on the woman. She knew she wouldn't be around to take care of Mina forever. She told her woes to the people in the town she visited, how she loved her but knew she would probably have to kill her to protect both Mina and the people she would kill. Word spread and the Vigilants stepped in and reached out to both the old woman and Mina. They prepared for the transition under the ruse that Mina was being sent somewhere to learn many things, how to control her gifts and the like. Mina hugged the woman goodbye with the promise to see her again soon. Sadly, she passed away shortly after Mina departed, she knew she was ill and yet Mina continues to write letters which often go undelivered. Those who knew decided it would be best not to tell Mina the news for the time being, worried it would have a negative effect. She talks about her Gran often still and all about her life, which might seem odd to others but completely normal to her.

^Breyten with his armor and his sword

History: Breyten was once a simple young man from the simple kingdom of Tereil. Since the kingdom viewed the arts as a priority, Breyten viewed his own fire magic as simply that -- an art to be improved upon... a tool for creation, and an invocation of wonder, rather than a means for destruction. He became a street performer, using his flames to awe and inspire, and hopefully earn some coin off of it. His parents had no such magic, but they were completely supportive of his path using his own magic.

However, all of that changed when Breyten invited his parents to one of his street performances, when he had been invited to perform in a town in Deox. While his own fire show was going on, a different kind of show sprung up within the audience, when a few Deoxians and Iastans began an all-out brawl against each other in the middle of the audience. One of the Deoxians decided to pull a dagger on some of the Iastans, but their violent swings resulted in them inadvertently slashing both of Breyten's parents. Enraged by this, Breyten felt something "break" within him. He called off the performance right then and there, and descended into the audience to get vengeance on the Deoxian who dared to harm his parents. He managed to defeat them, but by the time he had done so, his parents had both bled out and died.

His shard having awoken from that incident, Breyten was no longer the cheery, outgoing fire performer he had been, but rather a cold, dull version of himself. He became more prone to outbursts and rage, and soon enough, he stopped using his flames for creation and inspiration, and changed his focus onto destruction. On the edge of shattering, Breyten vowed not to stop until he had destroyed every last Deoxian and the very land the empire stood on. However, a brave Vigilant confronted the changed young man, subdued and defeated him, and stopped him in his destructive tracks before he could shatter.

Breyten, thankful to the Vigilant for saving him but not understanding why or how, allowed himself to be taken in by them, to learn more about the shards and how to become a Vigilant. Feeling great remorse for the actions he had caused while allowing himself to be overcome with his dark emotions and vengeful spirit, he broke his vow of destruction and once again vowed to use his magic -- as well as his shard powers -- simply for creation, protection, and inspiration. Thus would begin his journey as a Vigilant himself.

Name: Arian Moravo
Age: 23
Race: Aeterion
Homeland: Iasta
Shard Enhancements: Agility/speed, Stamina, Reflexes
Magic: Ice

Equipment:
The Cerulean Dagger: Arian's focus, this dagger is fairly small, with runic etchings on it's side that glow blue, symbolic of Arian's ice abilities.

Kusarigama: Originally just a hobby of Arian's, he picked up the weapon just for fun, but found it to be useful in many ways, so he's held on to it throughout the years.

Bottomless satchel: It isn't ACTUALLY bottomless, but with the ingenuity of arctech, this bag is able to hold a bit more than it physically appears to be capable of (ie: holding a loaf of bread or two when it's the size of a sandwich)- a gift from Arian's father as a child.

History:
Unlike many other Aeterion, Arian lives near Marigos, though not underground. He and his father, Tetsan, a wealthy man who facilitates the movement of arcrystals to Dalygos from Marigos, live in a large, fancy home on the outskirts of Dalygos. His father left his home village in search of a better life for himself and his family, finding that there was much money to be made in the dealings with arcrystals, but knowing they couldn't commit to time underground forever. While not a criminal boss of the underground, Arian's father has gathered a lot of allies in Marigos, as well as a lot of respect. Despite "living" in Dalygos, Arian spent most of his life outside of the walls of his family home underground in Marigos when he could, interacting with those down there and shadowing his father during business deals. Arian was able to do as he pleased within Mairgos due to his father's reputation and found a "hobby" for himself in stealing arcrystals from his father's business associates. Knowing his father would be furious, Arian sold them under his nose, enjoying what he considered cheap thrills at no risk to himself.
When his thievery was discovered, however, his father's reaction was less than merciful. Arian had ruined his father's trust, and in a show of good faith to those underground, Tetsan chose to cast his own son out. Tetsan made sure that his "employees" beat his own son - which was Arian's first ever taste of the harsh reality of life. Badly injured, ego bruised and life as he knew it destroyed, Arian's shard was awakened. Scared, Arian retreated to the only home he knew other than his father's, Marigos. Between the lack of moonlight and general fear of the bosses who ran the underground, Arian grew paranoid, making his first kill by accidentally using his magic to drive a shard of ice through the heart of an innocent bystander he thought was pursuing him. This was an accident, but as his shard abilities grew and the moonlight deprivation grew, Arian found himself with several more deaths on his hands, feeling less conflicted with each life he took. A Vigilant, sensing Arian and fearing he was Shattered, made his way down to Mairgos to dispose of him, instead finding a young man who wasn't beyond saving, who he took to the Vigil to begin his new life.
